    Olight are great torches I’ve got a few but one thing I do with is that they worked better on battery life for the maximum output.

      You wouldn't believe the amount of people constantly burning holes in ther pants/shorts/jacket pockets and even burning other items. The step down is probably a good thing. Some may be a ridiculously short tho at max output, not entirely knowledgeable on all models of course.

    Well thanks to Ozzie reviews, I bit the bullet & grabbed 2 Warrior X Turbo torches, one with the rifle mount. So I hope they are good. I kinda want a Javelot Pro now but after dropping over $300 I'll probably wait until the next 40% sale. Thanks love the reviews, calibre talk and all the other good stuff.

    A simple on-off and the lack of strobe etc is selling feature for me. I have a Nitecore torch which has strobe and a bunch of other features all controlled by the single button and it's absolute garbage. It's too easy to brush the button and end up on the wrong setting. More than once I've pressed the button and it wouldn't turn on because i'd inadvertently enabled the lockout function. And without manual it's a pain to figure out and get back to a standard beam again.
    I've been wanting to change it for a while. I'll definitely be checking the flash sale next week. Thanks.

    The reason they do those discounts so large and so regularly is because their standard RRP is heavily marked up so make it feel like you’re getting a good deal. It’s all marketing their discounted price is probably what their normal RRP should be

    Warrior X turbo has an issue is it can only run on 1100lm for 6mins, then stepping down to 600. While javelot pro runs 2200lm for 5mins, then down to 1000lm for 145mins. Looking forward to Javelot 2 that uses 2 of the same 21700 batteries.

    • @konner3593
      @konner3593 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah I hope that will soon be a thing. I have a warrior x pro right now, and it would not be worth it to get a warrior x turbo. If I was gonna get a designated thrower, I would just go all out and go with the javelot. With that being said, even if they did come out with an updated javelot, I don't know if I would get it. The reason being that I don't know what I would need the javelot for that the warrior x pro wouldn't be able to do. Yeah it's kind of a party trick light and it's fun and all, but I just don't know if I would need it.

    The new Osram led they use in this torch has too much of a white/blue tint for me, plus i can't use the filters off the javelot or the previous warrior x models. It also uses a proprietary battery so you can't use any other battery brand to power the torch. It's still a great torch even though overpriced, there are other quality options for less $$. Noctigon k1, speras t1. I still like my javelot pro better than all of the above. Nice review.

    Absolutely great torch. I have purchased lots of olight gear and I am very happy with their products. Olight sell the best torches on the market. You won't find anything better. When looking through a scope you can make a shot probably out 300m because of the beam making it a bit blurry even with parralax adjustment and focus adjusted but overall absolutely amazing torches!👍

    at 4:50 it mentions that it doesn't show battery level but vibrates every 5 mins when 20% battery left and every 1 min when 10% battery left. it makes me concerned about an unrealistic scenario where if you bought it as a tactical kit and attached it to your rifle and went to the North Pole and saw a polar bear approaching you from a distance when you only had one bullet left and 20% battery left in your torch, and just when you were on target to shoot the polar bear to save your life and pulled the trigger it vibrated to warn you of low battery and as a result in you missing the polar bear... is this a realistic concern? i've only done shooting in a rifle range but i know people i play golf with get really upset when i even slightly move when they're about to take their shot.... is there a way to disable the low battery vibrations?

Its a great light, simple and practical but where are the coloured filters? Geez. And why they didn't have another light mode setting to give you longer run time for spotting with filters looking for the eye shine. I bought a fenix HT18 hunters pack instead and that thing rocks. Red/green filters 21700 battery and 4 light intensities. Keep up the great reviews mate.
