Wtf. Today is December 16, 2021. This was posted 3 years ago and today I just viewed it for the first time, and the date of the example is LITERALLY the date of the contracts I’m looking at today, December 17, 2021. WTF WTF WTF
@@GDubs13 so you have to pay $310 to "buy" the contract , but also have to pay $70 for each share on top of that? So you would end up paying $7310 because the contract was for 100 shares....am I understanding this correctly?
@@g00se0017 yes. so hypothetically you would be buying 100 shares of XYZ at $70 p/ share. so 70x100= 7,000 . and then on top of that , (the cost of the option contract is $310 total. ( $3.10 p/share , so $3.10 x 100shares = $310) for a total of $7310

So using this as an example: if I were to buy options on XYZ, when I go to the Ally site do I enter "Buy To Open" or "Buy To Close"?
