Thank you Fr. Thomas for reading the letter from Cardinal Burke. It gave good pointers to think about. I remember one small incident, when I had *to hold the hands of another man while saying "Our Father" during the mass in USA.* It was not usual for me to hold anyone's hand , we didn't do that in India. But I started loving the act of holding hands of strangers in prayers, eventually. *It's a great collective gesture of Sunday masses.* One time, I ended up holding the hands of a homeless poor man. He looked unhygienic & destitute. But we shared the mass together & I didn't feel any discomfort in holding his hands. Later, I told a friend about my experience. He said, I shouldn't have held the poor unhygienic man's hand, even if that was a mass, for health reasons. *I didn't know if I did anything wrong.* I still don't know if I did something wrong by holding hands of a poor, unhygienic & destitute man. *Any thoughts?* Just for the record, I didn't catch any disease to this day, after holding that man's hand. His big, tall body & long beards are still afresh in my mind, after so many years!!
Hi
Your experience with the homeless man reminded me of what Jesus said in Matthew 25: 31-40. Where charity and love prevail God is ever present!! God bless

@@thomasaschenbrener8914 Thank you Fr. Aschenbrener for your response. I hope these masses will be uploaded even after lockdown gets over. Once churches in Chicago resume normal service for local attendees, do you think it would not be a hassle to record, edit & upload the Sunday masses for remote congregation like us?
You mean 'holding hands' in the novus ordo mass?
@@speedygonzales9993 Yes. I don't know if I was able to describe it properly. But we made a chain. Each person holding the hands of the other, next to him or her. In India, we never did such a thing! You think I should have stayed back from not holding the person's hand, due to hygiene reasons? It doesn't happen in Latin mass?
I would have done the same thing as you.
Thank You Father..you offer Mass beautifully..best on the you tube..Ave Maria😇😇😇
Agree. He does it so beautifully!
Again, tks!. From Singapore.
