As a school bus driver I really enjoyed this video. The first time I drove a school bus was in 2007 my first school bus I drove was a Wayne bus body with International 3800 series chassis, then the next one i drove when I later changed routes I drove a Crown by Carpenter bus body International 3800 series chassis & also drove a Blue Bird bus body with a International 3800 series chassis. Aftrt 9 years I went back to driving & now I drive a Blue Bird Vision (older model) which is a Special Needs/Handicap bus. Thank you for sharing! 🇺🇸🙂👍
I love these junkyard videos👍 The bus i rode as a kid (Walker County GA) was bus 48. A 1988 International S-1800 Bluebird, 65 passenger, with a non turbo 7.3 (maybe a 6.9) diesel.

There are places like this in most states - especially the larger ones. In my home state (In fact, less than a half hour from me), and used to be bigger, is Brandywine Companies' central Maryland Recycling facility for commercial vehicles (buses and larger). It's been around at this site longer than I have been alive. They deal with district operators, contractors, etcetera, and not just Maryland (they work with Fairfax County, VA).
I went here today and I got one of the Superior emblems at 6:09 a Thomas emblem from 11:44 and a IC front and FE300 emblems from a newly added 2004 IC FE from Lincoln County schools in KY, the number is 0403. I got all emblems for just 20$!
I didn't see any of the ones at the beginning. Hadn't heard of Ramey-Estep High School either but it looks like they still have a couple of buses. The Lighthouse Baptist Carpenter would be a 1995 model. I like how they used the Durham font on that one as well, lol.
It sucks to see these old buses just abandoned and Rusting away I love the look of older buses and I love Wayne’s the best I rode a international Wayne School bus to School for years but then It was retired last year And now I ride a 1998 international school bus
Great video! I do have a question I am looking for 6 6 lug 22.5 budd wheels off of an old school bus would this yard have any of those or could you give me a number to call them?
A drill, Phillips head drill bit, flathead drill bit, flathead screwdriver, Phillips head screwdriver, a mallet, and a drill bit to drill through a screw/rivet that is too rusted to come off in one piece. It just depends on how the emblem is applied and what it's made out of.
Im not too sure honestly haha. With all of my other attempts at bus buying ultimately leading me to choose not to buy it due to the risk of my losing 681 when it is sold, I will probably hold off on bus buying until I (hopefully) get 681 secured
Bus 35 probably had that vt360 engine in it which is an engine I’d most definitely avoid especially when they are up north and in the cold. Those don’t last long and aren’t that reliable as the t44e and the DT
youtube user Tommy Retro is looking for a superior bus if the 81 ford has a motor in it? that model Superior body appears to be a post Sheller Globe Corp model.

The reason that Kentucky had such bad problems with their CE’s is because they used the VT365/Maxxforce 7, which are terrible engines.
I thought the vt365’s were good diesels engines though
That 1989 Blue Bird S1800 has emergency exit windows too. Very rare to see them on a late 1980s model.

I believe that KY spec called for DTs in the CE. It was also a 2010, about 3 years too new for a VT365
