-The live in both hemispheres
-The live in tropical waters
-They can be seen close to lava, cactus and mangroves.
-Less than 1900 individuals left in the world. (1000 breeding pairs)
-2nd smallest penguin in the world and with less feathers.
-They lean forward to shade their feet and control temperature.
-The young have shaded feathers to act as sun protection.
