- Well, a tremolo is always a treat, as is a new brand, but when thise two things happen together, and the pedal is simply exquisite... then I'm a happy boy indeed!
Congratulations and welcome to Diffractor Soundings on their first device to be released into the wild, the Arboretum! A purely gorgeous attempt at taking amuch loved classic effect, and turning it into something quite incredible. Arboretum is a tremolo with multiple waveforms, tap multipliers, expression and most any feature you'd expect in comprehensive trem, but with the addition of a second waveform generator that allows you to manipulate the individual tremolo parameters in ways I haven't heard before. Enjoy!

That's a beautiful chord progression starting out the video! Very inspiring!
Thank you! Yeah I’m hooked on that one, I’ll make it a song some day soon. Cheers for watching!
I’ll never know how more people aren’t subscribed to this channel mate. I love your stuff. Thank you for making these videos x
Thanks for the kind words, share the love ❤️
💯 favorite music tech channel
Your videos always have such a vibe to them.
Thanks mate, glad you dig them!
I have to say, I put this on while working and got distracted and forgot it was this video playing. It popped into my head to wonder what lovely album I had on and was surprised to remember it was this video. Totally sounds like something I would listen to on a regular basis. The pedal sounds great too. Then I realized I wasn't subscribed even though I've watched a ton of your vids. I've now fixed that. Keep up the great work! Cheers.
Thanks for the sub! And thanks for nice comment, means a lot to know my music can do that ✌🏼
Ordered. Looks like an interesting choice
Congrats, enjoy it!
Your demos are top notch. A LoFi/Ambient aficionado's dream channel! I just want to learn all of your tunes lol. Such beautiful progressions and layers.
Thanks again, glad you enjoy it!
2:27 in and I ordered it..
Haha great! Enjoy!
Look at all those dials and modes and buttons and switches and lights😍. I like it when a pedal is smarter then me.
This one definitely needs some manual perusal ahead of diving in! 😅
This is stunning! Now I need one too.
Seriously well designed bit of kit 🤌🏼
Beautiful demo 10/10!
So much love in all the details
Cheers, thanks for watching!
you make everything sound amazing - killer as always!
There’s a way to use every sound to your advantage! This one was just on the very easy end of that spectrum 😜
very nice! the stereo is really cool
It’s a little bit mesmerising isn’t it! Really draws you in to the music.
One of the most biutiful, interesting, simply best pedal demos i have ever heard and seen, i love your approach to making music!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
A compelling demo of a pedal is usually contingent on what is being played when the pedal is put thru its paces. I need this pedal based on the song.
Truly too kind, thanks for watching!
This is 100% how I feel lol. I honestly just want to learn all the songs in these videos. I have one of these on the way and I'm convinced I'm just going to be annoyed when I realize the pedal isn't going to make me sound like Ponder 🤣
What tuning is this? Amazingly musicality 🤍
At which point? I use a bunch of alternate tunings.
Beginning to around 4:15
It’s probably DAEABe down a half step, I have some plans in the works for music releases and I’ll revisit this piece ✌🏼
I really wish it could receive external tap or midi clock. I'd buy it in a second ....
You could send it clock via MIDI to CV through the new Old Blood MTET
@@ponderersounds3172 That could work I think. My Morningstar MC6 Pro could send a CC sinewave to the MTET (which I have), which then converts it to expression to the Arboretum's Sweep control. Maybe?
@@bnz70 Hi, Raphael from Diffractor Soundings here! I think this could work fine indeed! 👌
Can anyone confirm that sending clock via the MTET works? Or better yet, can you just use a MIDI to 1/4" adapter to send clock?
