Imo holy overloads are the best simply because they are versatile and usable in every situation that overloads would normally be used in. If the salves restored prayer to full every 15 seconds I could see then being actually useful but they don't.
You can also unlock the potions through the motherload maw with 115 dg. This and the yak card are the best way to get them if your not in a rush for them tbh.
Good video, combination potions are great :) That said, supreme overload salve analysis was a little off - you shouldve compared the renewal and prayer potion effect of the supreme overload salve to super prayer renewal, which are tradeable and very cheap, and/or using brightfire potions with super antipoison or antipoison++, which would both have equivalent total effects and be cheaper, and give you the flexibility of not wasting the cost of antipoison/antifire where they don't apply, admittedly at the potential cost of some inventory space, which is a fair consideration Furthermore, I'm pretty sure you can buy the recipes for supreme searing and holy overloads straightup without the need to find their recipes
thanks for the input, I knew some of the potions were unlocked from the beginning, just couldn't find which ones they were anywhere on the internet so that helps. I do stand by the supreme overload salve being totally worth using though despite those other 2 potions, It does make it cost a little bit more, but I think that the fact the it is all in one potion is worth atleast 10k gp or so, though you do have a good point I didn't consider those potions. Love the input keep it coming, I love seeing another perspective and love learning more about the game.
Tectail Thanks for the reply - definitely inventory spots have value in and of themselves That said, if you dont need either antipoison or antifire in a given location, using supreme ovl and super prayer renewal instead saves around 16k, and saves you the time of making your supreme overloads into salve variants for 1 inventory slot/36 minutes, which I think can be worth it. The salve variant is probably worth it if making use of at least one of either antifire or antipoison effects - but as it happens, I tend to use supreme single stat pots with berserk blood essence at a lot of places where that may apply (e.g. qbd to increase dps during first 20s of deaths swiftness and to save gp, gwd2 monsters (and greg wrecks your antipoison timer making the salve rather awkward to use anyway) and most slayer tasks), so I guess a follow up about berserk blood essence is in order :p
hmm maybe, haven't looked into those essences yet, I just don't use them. Will probably have to now. Ohh that time factor you are mentioning that is assuming that you have no use for the herblore xp. That is actually a plus imo that you get to make them and get the herblore xp as well as Herb pet chance.
Twice the gp for effects I don`t need? What the hell do you want antifire AND antipoison at the same time for..? Yeah, no, not gonna replace my regular overloads. THREE times the price of a regular overload? Nah I`m gud but tank u doe.. Some times, all you want is more damage ;)
I’d suggest holy overloads at least since they give prayer renewal along with overload effects and that’s always really good when bossing since your prayers will drain slower. Beyond that supreme salves would be only for highest level pvm like aod or yakamaru
TBH this is not an analysis, more like review. I would suggest to visually show somethings you tell. powerpoint for example. It was also hard to figure out the conclusion of your analysis. good review tho! Keep up the good work tho!!! =D
