100 watts with a radio! I repaired hundreds of those when i was a bench tech authorized Pioneer in the 70's & 80's. The 1250 has idle current and dc offset adjustments on each amp. Must be set correctly or the amp could get hot and fail if played really loud for any time.
I always loved .. when you turned on a high power receiver...the lights in the room would dim for a second....
