Most properties advertised very basic concrete frame structure filled in by blockwork and plastered over, which is the cheap. Moreover, open kitchens without walls sold as 'open and airy' actually saves more walls. Kitchens often have blockwork to support countertops, which is also cheap. Minimal cabinetry. Then living rooms are also often open to save sliding door expenses. The properties are essentially cheap skeletons plastered over and then decorated with badly stuck non-funtional decorative grass on sparingly placed on window shades etc to make them look balinese.
