OMG, you are definitely a “God send” you helped my husband even when “Bose” couldn’t… my husband loves Bose and so he has a Soundbar 900, 700 and a SoundTouch 300… he was having a problem switching from music back to watching TV, after three phone calls to Bose and them recommending shipping all three soundbars out for repair “JB Tech” within minutes replied to his questions about this and now I have a happy “hubby” 😁 thank you for all the your time you put into honest and actual reviews that “work” On behalf of “Big Al” and myself 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
What was the solution? I find that when I use Alexa to play music on Spotify the soundbar no longer plays sound when switched back to TV mode. I have to constantly unplug it from power and plug it back in to reset it.
Try using the power off on the app when done with your music. Once bar is off then press source tv😉 if that doesn't work change HDMI CEC through option until it functions correctly this is in the Bose music app and is currently set to default most people are having luck on the second option option 2

Another stellar review! Sounds amazing. I have my 300 and am very happy with it. A couple of diffefences i noticed was more control over the soundbar on the 900 as compared to the 300 and also the more modern remote. The 900 even via TH-cam sounds amazing.
They may update the tears to have their own up firing speakers so you can get a 9.1.4 set up (right now you can get 9.1.2). But, like JB said, it probably won’t be for a while.
@@JbTechFanatic I think my update/setup out of the box got interrupted and now my soundbar won't stay connected via Wifi. How do I restart that setup/download thing that happens when you first plug it in? It'll connect to wifi but then within a couple minutes it disconnects and then says 'Unavailable', happens after every time I connect.

Once reset, open the Bose Music app to reconfigure your product. Remove the product from your Bose account. For more info, see Removing a product from your Bose Music account On the remote control, simultaneously press and hold the Power icon and Skip forward icon buttons for 5 seconds. The entire light bar will blink twice and the soundbar will reboot. Our TV room is going to be on the small size (16x14) and my wife is concerned that the 700 bass module will take up too much space. Thinking of pairing this soundbar with the 500 bass module, but I’m worried that we’ll be missing out soundwise.
I do have a 500 bose module and I'm going to be completely honest. Don't buy it it's not even close in quality. Also my wife is very picky and not a huge fan of this kinda stuff lol. But the 700 module looks beautiful and comes in white or black really doesn't take up much space because it's square instead of long Point is the 700 will even look classy and the quality difference I huge.

Awesome review as always. Anyone reading this and seeing how long the video is, forget about it. This is how a techie explains tech in general, simplified and to the best quality for the experience!!! I’m excited to get this sound bar! Bose never lets down. Will take time to get the whole set up but worth it! Currently using Bose gaming header and huge difference in RDR2 and TC Division 2, the environment make you feel in the game, especially if it’s raining outside and the thunder shakes the house and it’s raining in the game, just went to another level!

Now since power sync and hdmi cec is activated it turns everything off for you. Voice cast allows you to use the bar form off and cast allows it to turn everything on also. Don't forget to use yiur Google home app to name and place each items in rooms for easier control. I'm getting my 900 tomorrow. I already have the 700 base and omnijewel 700s. E-arc never worked for me with the 700, it was in and out so i used the optical cable. Should I be worried that I'm missing out on atmos without e-arc? What are your thoughts on bose simulating the up firing channel on non atmos content? Thanks

This video was really helpful. The only thing I had to figure out was the Dobly digital plus output section. I put it on dobly digital, but noticed that It was not getting Dolby atmos on the compatible movies. When I changed it to Dolby digital plus, I saw Dolby atmos playing. This was confirmed through the Bose app. Also, not sound related but, what would you set the HDMI signal format? I set the eARC to enhanced format Dolby vision.

Great review again - did the upgrade from 700 and I don’t regret it. Sound has more presence in the room. Just one detail why not use Earc Dolby digital plus and just Dolby digital on the tv ? On the box of the 900 it says it support the DDplus. Thx

As always awesome review, but i have a couple of questions. First, I have the 700 sound bar, 500 base and a set of 700 surround speakers. Its for my theater room, which is 12' x 12'x10". I plan to install the surround sound speakers with omnijewel wall brackets. Do you recommend installing the speakers to the side wall, about 6" to a foot from the rear wall?, or install directly to the rear wall corners? or no wall installation? I figure sound could bounce off the rear wall to enhance the surround sound experience. What is the preferred height installation for these speakers, with 10' ceiling height? I've looked everywhere for recommendations but to no avail. Lastly, wow!!!, Bose now offers a 900 sound bar and its better then the 700. My wife doesn't like you. LOL I still have my old wireless surround sound speakers in the box since I watched your review video for the 700 surround sound speakers and bought them. Hi Jb, I’m watching your review and really like it. My question is: I connected ARC from tv to E arc of soundbar 900. When I turn tv on the soundbar doesn’t on. But when I adjusted from the Bose app on advanced cec I pick option 2 and everything work ok, so is it a normal setup or something wrong with soundbar or tv? Thank you

The rears either cube or omnijewel700 are the only way to add a true surround sound experience. Hey! Thx for the video. With the Sony HT-a9 coming out, what would you recommend ? Seems like they’re are offering an awesome experience with atmos too but you need a Bass (where you don’t necessarily with the Bose).

Will you complete the bar with 1 or 2 Bass modules 700 and will you Purchase the omnijewel700 speakers? If the answer is yes Than My Honest opinion is Definitely worth upgrading and Overall I believe that you will have a better sound experience with a smaller form factor. If the answer is no than I would just stick with what you have for now😉

A few days ago I purchased a Samsung 900, but it was full of glitches, Alexa did not work, it used to cut out when switching inputs, I hope the Bose is going to be amazing, I have previously only used wired surround speakers connected to a home theater :-)

I'm thankful that they were helpful as far as the rears I have 2 ceiling mounted and on my other system the omnijewel700 stands. The sound fron the ceiling mounts if you can put them near a corner are what I prefer just find the cheapest stands possible. We do watch cable tv and TH-cam a fair bit too so I think that would be a stereo pcm signal in which case I believe bose 900 converters it to multi pcm....I guess the question is if it's receiving pcm signal do all the speakers still work within the SB900 or are some not utilised when it receives a pcm signal. Would really appreciate your help!
Bose uses truespace technology essentially upcoverting the sound. So the soundbar should use the entire bar at all times but individually separates sound so each speaker will essentially work when neededdepending on content and hiw you set your eq in the bose app. However If you use the rear speakers depending on the content they will not always have sound.

Hi JB thanks for the review I ended up upgrading from the 700 to the 900 and love it and I added another 700 subwoofer so I have the whole setup with the two subs and the 700 surround speakers but recently there’s been a popping noise coming from the subs enough so that I had to unplug one of the suds and there’s still popping noise coming from the other sud but not as much I was wondering if you have had anything like that and if you have any advice on what could be the problem thank you so much for any help with could give thanks and be well

So what's happening its lost communication for evern a second then reconnect and surges sound like plugging a electric guitar into a amp with the volume turned up. Fix is relocate as best as possible the bass and bar away from any wireless items like microwave router phone ect also mirrors and brick walls make sure they have line of sight to bar. The 2 bass modules must be at least 7 feet apart Also Sometimes deleting them then reinstall helps fix it. If it still happens harwire one in and see if it still does it. No worries I completely understand 😊 in this case I would get the bass for now. Typically This is how I recommend... if you want something for surround sound But listening to music is also very important than bass. If surround sound experience is the most important thing then rears. But whats great about the 900 is its a complete product meaning you can still pull atmos with just the bar so if you can only add one item for now? Then the bass module will be a awesome add on. But of course to be clear the complete setup will always be the best and will give you the complete Dolby Atmos immersion 😉💯 But I would say bass module for Now and if at all possible get the 700 module. Tip check Bose official store on eBay and shop refurbished and save over 100 bucks. Comes in new packaging and a full warranty from bose and usually a additional year 😉
Hi JB, Is there a way to stream atmos music to the Bose 900. It works great with the Apple Music app on the Xbox. But it would be better to steam it from my phone without having to have the tv and Xbox on. Is there a way?? Many thanks.

Hello, can you please help? The Acoustimass 300 is listed in the 900 app as Sub 700. But the bass is so powerful. There's no chance to get the AdaptIQ process done (mistake "the room is to loud")! I find no reset for the 300 sub! With the soundtouch 300 there was no problem. But in combination with the 900 bar the bass is a lot to heavy. Is there a reset function in the 300 sub or an firmware update? AdaptIQ process works with 900 and rears only. Then I can add the sub (but while searching for new speakers also the rears are listed again in the app; will they again be added new?). When I now activate and use the AdaptIQ option in the app is now the saved measurement of 900 and rears active?

Then it worked easily the first time I set it up no problems. TH-cam music is not built in and has never been on a bose product. I wish is was as that's what I use most. but the truth is that it doesn't really effect me at all. as I can easily stream any service from Bluetooth to the 900 and works fast and easy one your connected using Bluetooth you can even use the bose music app to control at that point. Also since most tvs have TH-cam music you can even access it easily that way and get the same wifi quality connection as your TV connection to your internet than processes the highest quality through it hdmi Erac to the 900😊

May I ask if in your experience by having dialogue mode on it affects the height effects to not really coming accross? I've had my 900 on with dialogue mode on most of the time and I don't really get a height experience from the bar
Thank you for watching and subscribing I'm thankful for your support 💯 of course.. keep in mind, when you place your soundbar into dialog mode, it essentially cuts off most other aspects of the system to make it a little bit easier. I would say it ups the volume center channel to 100% and it cuts the rest of the surround sound to about 20%. So if you're looking for a true atmos experience, do not use dialog mode. Instead, turn your center channel and treble up. This usually will solve the issue if you want a dialogue heavy sound without losing Atmos quality.

The next important thing is does your tv have Earc? And does your tv support Dolby Atmos? If so then if your streaming your router might not be keeping up with the amount of data that Dolby Atmos and Dolby vision puts out. Try resetting your modem then router let me know😊
@@JbTechFanatic thank you for the response. I am currently not using bass module and rear speaker only using the soundbar 900( did the adaptiveIQ respectively). My tv(sony65xh90) has EARC and does support dolby atmos. The only thing I didn’t check was the router but I really don’t thing that’s the problem as the speed of Wi-Fi is upto100mbs anyhow will reset modem and router and let you know. Update fixed: not the modem or router problem, changed audio output to dolby digital plus then the app identifies dolby atmos. General remark : my living room is approx 25sqmts using only the soundbar with 75% volume gives an amazing experience. If the volume is low example between 30-50% then I cannot really experience the atmos feel.
So we have to figure out how to get atmos without turning on digital plus as it will break the audio file in bits as it's not supported. Try switching it back and adjusting you tv settings try different pass through options see if it will activate

The entire light bar will blink twice and the soundbar will reboot. Hi! I recently got the Bose 900 sound bar "WITHOUT the sub nd the surrounds". I ran the adaptiq. Played some content and found out that doing so turns the base way down, although improving the overall sound. Even increasing the base to 70 when adaptiq is ON doesn't really gives the base that I was getting when adaptiq was turned off with just +10 on base. I ran the adaptiq 2-3 times in a quiet room but same result. its a medium size room at 200sqft. Can u confirm this same very thing? I have heard this even happen with the base module connected as well.

Make sure you move to 5 different locations with large wide spacing for at least 2 and have zero sound in the room (fans, music, etc.). The bass module is very different from the bar bass as the modules are their own channels. Thus, it should not be affected like the bar from the IQ calibration below the bass line. Great video. I have an LG 75" NanoCell 90 tv that I hooked up my Bose 900 to. During setup the Dolby settings in the tv are greyed out. I have it connected by an HDMI (arc) cable. Any idea?

Hello bro. I feel so much overwhelmed to have the bose soundbar900. The bass ,the effects, its mind blowing. I got the sony a80k and even if i get all the effect in the app it doent show atmos. I made all the adjustment. My wifi also run more than 100 mbps. I got it till dolby digi 5.1. Also shall i chand the hdmi cable ??i am using the hdmi that bose gave..
A upgrade to the cable could help. I would not worry if it sounds amazing just enjoy. Hopefully the atmos problem will resolve on its own. Without being there and looking though all you settings myself It makes its very hard to know.

Got a 900 with the 700 bass module and 700 speakers. Sounds good, but it’s not really comparable to a true 5.1.4 system. So when you run the ADAPTiQ, it adjusts the eq and sound levels of the bar and speakers for you. If you adjust the levels via app afterwards, are you just changing the levels that ADAPTiQ set? Does ADAPTiQ adjust something else besides the eq levels the user has access to? I have left mine at 0 and it’s pretty decent minus the bass.
After Adapt iq process is complete then you want to adjust your Eq. They do very different processing Adapt iq is environment settings only. I bought the 900 soundbar and the 700 sub. Worked great out of the box. But we ran into audio issues the following day. The audio just stopped working. I tried different hdmi cables, messing with the CEC settings in the Bose app. Number 4 seemed to help the most but the sound eventually cut out again and stopped working. I checked all my sound related settings on my samsung tv and just couldn't get it to work consistently. Ended up calling Bose and the rep decided that i needed to send the bar in and get a replacement. I'm still waiting for the new bar to get sent out. I have my doubts that the bar was defective. We have an old Bose 321 system and had issues with that as well and that was an optical connection. Made me think its the TV. But then i tried the 900 on another samsung tv and had the same issues. Idk what is really going on but its sadly not the $1700 experience i was looking forward too

The audio is not actually cutting out what's happening is the tvs voice assistant is muting the audio to listen. At this point it's confusing the arc and or optical connection and not processing the audio through the out source channel this came with the built-in chromcast update. Also if if the bar Disconnects from the internet during this its sitting and waiting to do your command from the assistant in the bar itself. When you receive the new bar connect like new. Delete your app then reinstall and start fresh be sure to ok all permissions asked. For now I recommend shutting off the voice assistant on the tv and one remote dont worry it will fix soon. Any time it does stop working go into the bose music app click power off on the bar menu then click source and then tv. @@JbTechFanatic So just an update for anyone experiencing my issue. My tv doesn't have a voice assistant. It's smart but not that smart lol. Bose sent me a replacement 900 and this one works perfect with my TV. No audio issues like before. However, now i'm having bluetooth issues. When you press the bluetooth button on the remote or in the app, you'll hear a noise from the soundbar signaling its in bluetooth mode but this new soundbar doesn't do that and there is no audio from the soundbar when playing music from my phone. I'm certain its connected correctly. It shows the song that's playing from my phone on the bose music app and when i pause the song, i'll see two white lines on the soundbar signaling the music is paused. They disappear when i press play but still no sound. Volume is not muted and turned up. Same exact results via apple air play. I just don't get it. Probably going to have to call bose again. I'm hoping its a firmware issues and they'll just fix it soon because i really don't want to have to send this back again

One consideration for the future would be Change your rears out for the omnijewel700 speakers it will help. But bose is tricky when it comes to doing hook-ups like that so I'm going to guess no it won't work. But maybe you have run your turntable through your tv that way and then get the sound through your 900.

Hi, i looked through youtube and you are one of the few that explain so well about this 900, so im just wondering if you can help me i just bought the soundbar 900, and i have this issue with the soundbar so i connected the soundbar to my TV (has eArc) and all is good except for when i tried to play music on youtube (on my phone, not on TV) through bluetooth then it would not play any sound, i thought i might have paused the music and checked but it was playing, just no sound i went to the app and selected the audio source “bluetooth” and it was still the same can you help?

Next in your Google home app you can set it as one of your assistants and link it as a speaker bit most important set you music provider to Google music this is new with the latest software. No longer need Bluetooth and through wifi you get full hi-fi audio so it will sound way better. Next to sync Bluetooth devices you music sync your phone to the bose app and ok the permissions. Once that is complete correctly you will see each device in the Bose music app under Bluetooth and now it will have a on and off switch next to your listed devices. Now you simply turn on Bluetooth on your phone and turn the input to Bluetooth and flip that new on off switch next to the device of choice and you will get music from Bluetooth and can also have multiple devices. The main direct control is through the app or voice. So far the control seems to be really pushing forward smart based aspect. The 700 remote can be programmed to control your tv thus controlling the bar but I can't get it to function correctly for the 900 itself but more software updates are coming
Hi I have seen a lot of people saying adding another bose module that’s the subwoofer adds extra cinematic effect on watching movies or listening to music. Is this something you have ever tried.
Yes I have the 700 and 900 with 2 bass modules. It's definitely cool and sounds powerful but honestly it's kinda overkill. It really depends on your room size the bigger the room the more useful 2 modules is.

Great review, thank you. I just bought the 300 when I saw the 900 was coming out. I have ordered the 900 and will return the 300. I also have the smaller surround speakers. My wife might kill me if I try to upgrade those to the Omnijewel. Do you think it's worth me upgrading or should I stick with what I have?

@@marisolarellano7250 I bought the 300 just a few weeks ago and I am bringing it back to Betbuy for a complete refund. I don't know what the value would be but the 300 price has gone up $50 so maybe you wouldn't lose too much. But it might not be worth getting the 900 if your TV doesn't have earc.

OMG, you are definitely a “God send” you helped my husband even when “Bose” couldn’t… my husband loves Bose and so he has a Soundbar 900, 700 and a SoundTouch 300… he was having a problem switching from music back to watching TV, after three phone calls to Bose and them recommending shipping all three soundbars out for repair “JB Tech” within minutes replied to his questions about this and now I have a happy “hubby” 😁 thank you for all the your time you put into honest and actual reviews that “work”

What was the solution? I find that when I use Alexa to play music on Spotify the soundbar no longer plays sound when switched back to TV mode. I have to constantly unplug it from power and plug it back in to reset it.

Try using the power off on the app when done with your music. Once bar is off then press source tv😉 if that doesn't work change HDMI CEC through option until it functions correctly this is in the Bose music app and is currently set to default most people are having luck on the second option option 2

Another stellar review! Sounds amazing. I have my 300 and am very happy with it. A couple of diffefences i noticed was more control over the soundbar on the 900 as compared to the 300 and also the more modern remote. The 900 even via TH-cam sounds amazing.

They may update the tears to have their own up firing speakers so you can get a 9.1.4 set up (right now you can get 9.1.2). But, like JB said, it probably won’t be for a while.
@@JbTechFanatic I think my update/setup out of the box got interrupted and now my soundbar won't stay connected via Wifi. How do I restart that setup/download thing that happens when you first plug it in? It'll connect to wifi but then within a couple minutes it disconnects and then says 'Unavailable', happens after every time I connect.

I,ve finally got all my Gear Bose Sound Bar 900, Bass Module 700 and Bose Surround Speakers ( cube ) Just a couple of Questions when not in use the Bass Module and Rear Speakers. Do i need to switch Power off at the wall or just turn off Sound Bar ?? Also after connecting rears and Bass Module to Sound bar do i need to Calibrate strait away or can i do that at a later time ?

Our TV room is going to be on the small size (16x14) and my wife is concerned that the 700 bass module will take up too much space. Thinking of pairing this soundbar with the 500 bass module, but I’m worried that we’ll be missing out soundwise.
I do have a 500 bose module and I'm going to be completely honest. Don't buy it it's not even close in quality. Also my wife is very picky and not a huge fan of this kinda stuff lol. But the 700 module looks beautiful and comes in white or black really doesn't take up much space because it's square instead of long
Point is the 700 will even look classy and the quality difference I huge.

This is how a techie explains tech in general, simplified and to the best quality for the experience!!! I’m excited to get this sound bar! Bose never lets down. Will take time to get the whole set up but worth it! Currently using Bose gaming header and huge difference in RDR2 and TC Division 2, the environment make you feel in the game, especially if it’s raining outside and the thunder shakes the house and it’s raining in the game, just went to another level!

Thanks for the video. Quick question: I used to be able to turn off the Bose 900 via Google assistant. When I tried to turn it off earlier today, it said “actually, this product does not support that functionality “. Are you familiar with this issue? Thanks again.

Now since power sync and hdmi cec is activated it turns everything off for you. Voice cast allows you to use the bar form off and cast allows it to turn everything on also. Don't forget to use yiur Google home app to name and place each items in rooms for easier control. Also you can use a separate Google to control your bar

I'm getting my 900 tomorrow. I already have the 700 base and omnijewel 700s. E-arc never worked for me with the 700, it was in and out so i used the optical cable. Should I be worried that I'm missing out on atmos without e-arc? What are your thoughts on bose simulating the up firing channel on non atmos content? Thanks

This video was really helpful. The only thing I had to figure out was the Dobly digital plus output section. I put it on dobly digital, but noticed that It was not getting Dolby atmos on the compatible movies. When I changed it to Dolby digital plus, I saw Dolby atmos playing. This was confirmed through the Bose app. Also, not sound related but, what would you set the HDMI signal format? I set the eARC to enhanced format Dolby vision.

Great review again - did the upgrade from 700 and I don’t regret it. Sound has more presence in the room. Just one detail why not use Earc Dolby digital plus and just Dolby digital on the tv ? On the box of the 900 it says it support the DDplus. Thx

As always awesome review, but i have a couple of questions. First, I have the 700 sound bar, 500 base and a set of 700 surround speakers. Its for my theater room, which is 12' x 12'x10". I plan to install the surround sound speakers with omnijewel wall brackets. Do you recommend installing the speakers to the side wall, about 6" to a foot from the rear wall?, or install directly to the rear wall corners? or no wall installation? I figure sound could bounce off the rear wall to enhance the surround sound experience. What is the preferred height installation for these speakers, with 10' ceiling height? I've looked everywhere for recommendations but to no avail.
Lastly, wow!!!, Bose now offers a 900 sound bar and its better then the 700. My wife doesn't like you. LOL I still have my old wireless surround sound speakers in the box since I watched your review video for the 700 surround sound speakers and bought them. I do agree, the surround sound is 10 times better then the regular speakers.

Hi Jb, I’m watching your review and really like it. My question is: I connected ARC from tv to E arc of soundbar 900. When I turn tv on the soundbar doesn’t on. But when I adjusted from the Bose app on advanced cec I pick option 2 and everything work ok, so is it a normal setup or something wrong with soundbar or tv? Thank you

The rears either cube or omnijewel700 are the only way to add a true surround sound experience. Will you complete the bar with 1 or 2 Bass modules 700 and will you Purchase the omnijewel700 speakers? If the answer is yes Than My Honest opinion is Definitely worth upgrading and Overall I believe that you will have a better sound experience with a smaller form factor. If the answer is no than I would just stick with what you have for now😉

A few days ago I purchased a Samsung 900, but it was full of glitches, Alexa did not work, it used to cut out when switching inputs,

I'm thankful that they were helpful as far as the rears I have 2 ceiling mounted and on my other system the omnijewel700 stands. The sound fron the ceiling mounts if you can put them near a corner are what I prefer just find the cheapest stands possible. We do watch cable tv and TH-cam a fair bit too so I think that would be a stereo pcm signal in which case I believe bose 900 converters it to multi pcm....I guess the question is if it's receiving pcm signal do all the speakers still work within the SB900 or are some not utilised when it receives a pcm signal.

Bose uses truespace technology essentially upcoverting the sound. So the soundbar should use the entire bar at all times but individually separates sound so each speaker will essentially work when neededdepending on content and hiw you set your eq in the bose app. However If you use the rear speakers depending on the content they will not always have sound.

Hi JB thanks for the review I ended up upgrading from the 700 to the 900 and love it and I added another 700 subwoofer so I have the whole setup with the two subs and the 700 surround speakers but recently there’s been a popping noise coming from the subs enough so that I had to unplug one of the suds and there’s still popping noise coming from the other sud but not as much I was wondering if you have had anything like that and if you have any advice on what could be the problem thank you so much for any help with could give thanks and be well

So what's happening its lost communication for evern a second then reconnect and surges sound like plugging a electric guitar into a amp with the volume turned up. Fix is relocate as best as possible the bass and bar away from any wireless items like microwave router phone ect also mirrors and brick walls make sure they have line of sight to bar. The 2 bass modules must be at least 7 feet apart Also Sometimes deleting them then reinstall helps fix it. If it still happens harwire one in and see if it still does it. Hello JB I just purchase bose 900. Now I'm trying to decide what next subwoofer o surround speakers can you give you advice what is better for now my budget is short to buy both now 😅
No worries I completely understand 😊 in this case I would get the bass for now. Typically This is how I recommend... if you want something for surround sound But listening to music is also very important than bass. If surround sound experience is the most important thing then rears. But whats great about the 900 is its a complete product meaning you can still pull atmos with just the bar so if you can only add one item for now? Then the bass module will be a awesome add on. But of course to be clear the complete setup will always be the best and will give you the complete Dolby Atmos immersion 😉💯 But I would say bass module for Now and if at all possible get the 700 module. Tip check Bose official store on eBay and shop refurbished and save over 100 bucks. Comes in new packaging and a full warranty from bose and usually a additional year 😉

Hello, can you please help? The Acoustimass 300 is listed in the 900 app as Sub 700. But the bass is so powerful. There's no chance to get the AdaptIQ process done (mistake "the room is to loud")! I find no reset for the 300 sub! With the soundtouch 300 there was no problem. But in combination with the 900 bar the bass is a lot to heavy. Is there a reset function in the 300 sub or an firmware update? AdaptIQ process works with 900 and rears only. Then I can add the sub (but while searching for new speakers also the rears are listed again in the app; will they again be added new?).
When I now activate and use the AdaptIQ option in the app is now the saved measurement of 900 and rears active?
I have 700 setup with base module and 700 rear speakers $2000 later ,glad to know I can switch to Dolby Atmos and still use them with this great video

Thank you for watching and subscribing I'm thankful for your support 💯 I did not have any issues with anything to be honest. I made sure to do the software updates before trying or settingup. Then it worked easily the first time I set it up no problems. TH-cam music is not built in and has never been on a bose product. I wish is was as that's what I use most. but the truth is that it doesn't really effect me at all. as I can easily stream any service from Bluetooth to the 900 and works fast and easy one your connected using Bluetooth you can even use the bose music app to control at that point. Also since most tvs have TH-cam music you can even access it easily that way and get the same wifi quality connection as your TV connection to your internet than processes the highest quality through it hdmi Erac to the 900😊

May I ask if in your experience by having dialogue mode on it affects the height effects to not really coming accross? I've had my 900 on with dialogue mode on most of the time and I don't really get a height experience from the bar
Thank you for watching and subscribing I'm thankful for your support 💯 of course.. keep in mind, when you place your soundbar into dialog mode, it essentially cuts off most other aspects of the system to make it a little bit easier. I would say it ups the volume center channel to 100% and it cuts the rest of the surround sound to about 20%. So if you're looking for a true atmos experience, do not use dialog mode. Instead, turn your center channel and treble up. This usually will solve the issue if you want a dialogue heavy sound without losing Atmos quality.

The lifestyle formats sound different to me likely more frequently but the 700 sounds better for music and gives a bigger punch. The lifestyle has a more accurate thunder sound. But when you add it to the 900 everything sounds better Than it did on the 700. The next important thing is does your tv have Earc? And does your tv support Dolby Atmos? If so then if your streaming your router might not be keeping up with the amount of data that Dolby Atmos and Dolby vision puts out. Try resetting your modem then router let me know😊
@@JbTechFanatic thank you for the response. I am currently not using bass module and rear speaker only using the soundbar 900( did the adaptiveIQ respectively). My tv(sony65xh90) has EARC and does support dolby atmos.
The only thing I didn’t check was the router but I really don’t thing that’s the problem as the speed of Wi-Fi is upto100mbs anyhow will reset modem and router and let you know.
Update fixed: not the modem or router problem, changed audio output to dolby digital plus then the app identifies dolby atmos.
General remark : my living room is approx 25sqmts using only the soundbar with 75% volume gives an amazing experience. If the volume is low example between 30-50% then I cannot really experience the atmos feel.
So we have to figure out how to get atmos without turning on digital plus as it will break the audio file in bits as it's not supported. Try switching it back and adjusting you tv settings try different pass through options see if it will activate

As far as is it worth it that depends on your really. It definitely sounds better in every way even without atmos. The Bar will upgrade your sound to take advantage of all the speakers. It won't be true atmos but still sounds amazing. But if it was me yes I would upgrade regardless but then again I'm addicted to new tech lol. I would also use it at a EXCUSE to buy a new to to my wife lol🤣🤣💯

Hi! I recently got the Bose 900 sound bar "WITHOUT the sub nd the surrounds".
I ran the adaptiq. Played some content and found out that doing so turns the base way down, although improving the overall sound.
Even increasing the base to 70 when adaptiq is ON doesn't really gives the base that I was getting when adaptiq was turned off with just +10 on base.
I ran the adaptiq 2-3 times in a quiet room but same result. its a medium size room at 200sqft.
Can u confirm this same very thing? I have heard this even happen with the base module connected as well.

Make sure you move to 5 different locations with large wide spacing for at least 2 and have zero sound in the room (fans, music, etc.). The bass module is very different from the bar bass as the modules are their own channels. Thus, it should not be affected like the bar from the IQ calibration below the bass line. Great video. I have an LG 75" NanoCell 90 tv that I hooked up my Bose 900 to. During setup the Dolby settings in the tv are greyed out. I have it connected by an HDMI (arc) cable. Any idea?

This is because the 650 is now to dated to compete with new formats. But having said that I would only imagine the Successor to the 650 will be coming within the next year or so as the 650 line is always going to be Bose top end💯 But without specific features it's hard to justify that massive price difference. Hello bro. I feel so much overwhelmed to have the bose soundbar900. The bass ,the effects, its mind blowing. I got the sony a80k and even if i get all the effect in the app it doent show atmos. I made all the adjustment. My wifi also run more than 100 mbps. I got it till dolby digi 5.1. Also shall i chand the hdmi cable ??i am using the hdmi that bose gave..
A upgrade to the cable could help. I would not worry if it sounds amazing just enjoy. Hopefully the atmos problem will resolve on its own. Without being there and looking though all you settings myself It makes its very hard to know.
Go to sound settings on your tv and turn off the earc and I can tell you 100% you will get Atmos
How well does it play with music? Is there no stereo mode?

Got a 900 with the 700 bass module and 700 speakers. Sounds good, but it’s not really comparable to a true 5.1.4 system. So when you run the ADAPTiQ, it adjusts the eq and sound levels of the bar and speakers for you. If you adjust the levels via app afterwards, are you just changing the levels that ADAPTiQ set? Does ADAPTiQ adjust something else besides the eq levels the user has access to? I have left mine at 0 and it’s pretty decent minus the bass.
After Adapt iq process is complete then you want to adjust your Eq. They do very different processing Adapt iq is environment settings only. I bought the 900 soundbar and the 700 sub. Worked great out of the box. But we ran into audio issues the following day. The audio just stopped working. I tried different hdmi cables, messing with the CEC settings in the Bose app. Number 4 seemed to help the most but the sound eventually cut out again and stopped working. I checked all my sound related settings on my samsung tv and just couldn't get it to work consistently. Ended up calling Bose and the rep decided that i needed to send the bar in and get a replacement. I'm still waiting for the new bar to get sent out. I have my doubts that the bar was defective. We have an old Bose 321 system and had issues with that as well and that was an optical connection. Made me think its the TV. But then i tried the 900 on another samsung tv and had the same issues. Idk what is really going on but its sadly not the $1700 experience i was looking forward too
Thank you for watching and subscribing I'm thankful for your support 💯 I'm sorry to hear your are experiencing this issue. Turns out it's a software issue on Samsung tv side. The audio is not actually cutting out what's happening is the tvs voice assistant is muting the audio to listen. At this point it's confusing the arc and or optical connection and not processing the audio through the out source channel this came with the built-in chromcast update. Also if if the bar Disconnects from the internet during this its sitting and waiting to do your command from the assistant in the bar itself. When you receive the new bar connect like new. Delete your app then reinstall and start fresh be sure to ok all permissions asked. For now I recommend shutting off the voice assistant on the tv and one remote dont worry it will fix soon. Any time it does stop working go into the bose music app click power off on the bar menu then click source and then tv. @@JbTechFanatic So just an update for anyone experiencing my issue. My tv doesn't have a voice assistant. It's smart but not that smart lol. Bose sent me a replacement 900 and this one works perfect with my TV. No audio issues like before. However, now i'm having bluetooth issues. When you press the bluetooth button on the remote or in the app, you'll hear a noise from the soundbar signaling its in bluetooth mode but this new soundbar doesn't do that and there is no audio from the soundbar when playing music from my phone. I'm certain its connected correctly. It shows the song that's playing from my phone on the bose music app and when i pause the song, i'll see two white lines on the soundbar signaling the music is paused. They disappear when i press play but still no sound. Volume is not muted and turned up. Same exact results via apple air play. I just don't get it. Probably going to have to call bose again. I'm hoping its a firmware issues and they'll just fix it soon because i really don't want to have to send this back again

One consideration for the future would be Change your rears out for the omnijewel700 speakers it will help. But regardless you should be good to go and it's absolutely worth the upgrade 👌 huge difference 😉

But bose is tricky when it comes to doing hook-ups like that so I'm going to guess no it won't work. But maybe you have run your turntable through your tv that way and then get the sound through your 900.
Line of sight for accessorys, have a 700,2 subs,omni jewels do i have to move subs in front of 900 to connect ,with 700 everything connected without having to move subs in front sound bar

But it really shouldn't be a problem setting it up how you want it. Just try it and if it works it's all good. If you start to experience cut outs ect re adjust as needed😊

I recently added Alexa to my Bose 900 Sound bar and when i talk to Alexa . When it finishes answering me i see a quick Red and Blue Flash on the Soundbar light. I did,nt notice that at first But now i am.. Is there a problem. Ive tried googling but i cant find any answer to the issue ..I HOPE YOU CAN HELP ME .

In the alexa app you can adjust your listening preferences. You can ask one question and it be done or allow continued conversations. The indicator will allow you to know when alexa is still listening with blue and red it has stopped ✋️

i just bought the soundbar 900, and i have this issue with the soundbar
so i connected the soundbar to my TV (has eArc) and all is good except for when i tried to play music on youtube (on my phone, not on TV) through bluetooth then it would not play any sound, i thought i might have paused the music and checked but it was playing, just no sound
i went to the app and selected the audio source “bluetooth” and it was still the same

Thank you for watching and subscribing I'm thankful for your support and kind comment 🙏 💯 a few things the 900 is now a chromcast built in product Thank God 😊 so turn on 3 things in your bose music app Google assistant and the two chromcast switches now available. Next in your Google home app you can set it as one of your assistants and link it as a speaker bit most important set you music provider to Google music this is new with the latest software. No longer need Bluetooth and through wifi you get full hi-fi audio so it will sound way better. Next to sync Bluetooth devices you music sync your phone to the bose app and ok the permissions. Once that is complete correctly you will see each device in the Bose music app under Bluetooth and now it will have a on and off switch next to your listed devices. Now you simply turn on Bluetooth on your phone and turn the input to Bluetooth and flip that new on off switch next to the device of choice and you will get music from Bluetooth and can also have multiple devices. The main direct control is through the app or voice. So far the control seems to be really pushing forward smart based aspect. The 700 remote can be programmed to control your tv thus controlling the bar but I can't get it to function correctly for the 900 itself but more software updates are coming

Hi I have seen a lot of people saying adding another bose module that’s the subwoofer adds extra cinematic effect on watching movies or listening to music. Is this something you have ever tried.
Yes I have the 700 and 900 with 2 bass modules. It's definitely cool and sounds powerful but honestly it's kinda overkill. It really depends on your room size the bigger the room the more useful 2 modules is.

My wife might kill me if I try to upgrade those to the Omnijewel. Do you think it's worth me upgrading or should I stick with what I have?

@@marisolarellano7250 I bought the 300 just a few weeks ago and I am bringing it back to Betbuy for a complete refund. I don't know what the value would be but the 300 price has gone up $50 so maybe you wouldn't lose too much. But it might not be worth getting the 900 if your TV doesn't have earc.
The 300 is still a outstanding product that will bring you years of a quality experience
