Welcome to my Old School RuneScape Hardcore Ironman gameplay. Actually now, just normal ironman gameplay. In today's episode of the Defence Saga we'll be attempting to acquire more unique items that no other ironman defence pure has in the game. We're attempting to achieve this through acquiring a piece of armor we shouldn't even have for 3 more strength bonus. We will likely have to die to achieve this and revoke our Hardcore Ironman status along with 4,200 hours of gameplay on the build. We're looking to wield a Berserker Helm and Neitiznot Helm while avoiding the quest xp rewards, and this would put us past the 43 strength bonus requirement to hit a 2 with a poisoned weapon. This is episode 12 of "The Defence Saga" series.

agreed. the thing I like about Rendi is that he isn't Settled. He's Settled's fucking daddy and instead of bending to Jagex's will, he literally bends the game around his own will to achieve what is required.

@@circles9275 I think we're here to see the crazy ways he finds to get around restrictions. I don't give a damn if he died, there are a billion other hardcores out there but only one Rendi defence pure. As part of this viewerbase I agree with OP and Rendi's explanation. It's about the manips, not the fear of death.

@@kd8691 The exact same technique for dropping the flowers. But you can only drop one piece of the hardcore armor since you can only die once as a hardcore.
This is one of the most impressive videos so far.
Animations are crazy in synch with overal story arc and the mechanics behind the achievement feel like something out of a Mission Impossible film.

I don’t usually comment, but i gotta say this is one of your best videos yet. Great storytelling with the mystery of fossigrim starting it out and your own trial and error until you finally triumphed. Legit felt like I was watching a movie it was so entertaining

Rendi, rendi rendi. You may have outdone yourself on this one - absolutely fantastic. From the perfect story telling aspect to the insane details in picking apart that other account, to utlising your time making notes on your phone and countless attemps on countless accounts stacked with fantastic game knowledge. The best video I can remember from any creator in a long time.
44:19 Whoever did these animations should try to make an OSRS animated series. imagine listening to, or reading about, various players' tales about their interesting experiences in game and then making these kinds of animations to share that tale with the whole community.

The animation is incredible. It has a kind of supreme gokutard energy. For me the dk redemption army scene was peak, & the shot of rendi floating in water is second favorite.

Runescape is literally a puzzle to be solved for Rendi. Figuring out how to not get xp from freminik trials was absolutely bonkers and incredible to watch.
@RediMento The bug was more or less the same in RS3, but you did it with a no-clip into peer the seers upper floor and once you completed the riddle you got the xp reward again if you talked to chieftain brundt afterward you already greenlogged the quest.
So be careful talking to the chieftain, since that's how you got the reward multiple times in rs3.
Rs3 - No-clip>do riddle>chieftain>quest reward - Repeat for infinite xp.
Pretty sure you would be able to get the quest xp multiple times in a row if you handed in flowers > talked to chieftain > repeat (after green logged)

This exploit actually would be good for skiller irons as well, cause this would give them access to artic pine trees, which currently they can't get and is locking them out of some forestry items

The fact you didn't just blow off the Fosse Grim guy as just having figured out the Fremmy Trials with no xp, but went as far as to direct his entire background from start to finish like fkn Sherlock Holmes is insane.

This episode was genuinely so entertaining, possibly my favorite episode of the series. The mystery behind Fosse Grim was just so intriguing. I wonder if they actually used the same method as you, or if there are still unknown methods out there to complete the quest via alternative actions.
