I love that no one was self-deprecating about their own painting, and how everyone was impressed by each other's art and complimented each other. Such a caring group

Felix: *the most thoughtful and meaningful understanding of the book, really deep and super intellectual quotes*
Also Felix: just “a whole lot of red”

Felix is so smart, def deserves to be playing more freakish and complex characters than just male love interests or pretty boys

I was listening to this, and when Felix started talking, I thought, "Wait, is he Australian?" Then he dropped the F-Bomb, and It was confirmed. I'm Australian; it made me giggle. A lot.

How do you not detect the accent if you are Australian? I lived in australia and i am a canadian and i find it easy to to detect

I liked Cree's painting the best, but I liked Isabella's thought-process behind her painting the most.

Really enjoyed this approach as well as the interpersonal dynamics amongst the group. Personally, Felix's painting ended up speaking to me most but I truly did think all the paintings were great interpretations of the art assignment 🤗💜

3:53 Me realisin that stuff nvr gets to me... and then realisin why it nvr gets to either of us xD We're both aphantastics! We dontve a minds eye so when we read a chars description we arent puttin to mind the intricate details; we are rememberin the basic stuff instd of exactly what the details look like
I truly think the reason John doesnt get bothered by it is bcuz he nvr visualises chars when readin them anyways; so its not like those aspects of a char are vital, as opposed to the char actually bein portrayed correctly in the spirit of the char...
Which ofc as aphantastics we are more likely to latch on to that personality and spirit aspect of the char; as thats easier for us to actually hold in our mind and think about and envision what it means exactly to be this char

0:26 I justve to pt out, readin TATWD for me was my own seeing thought spirals personified moment; my own first time i felt like id experienced smth that somehow expressed the nature of my own intrusive thoughts
I actually ended up with my own separate term for them, cuz mine arent rly the spirally kind i feel, but readin this story and seein Aza's exps and how well John captured the exp id always thowt i was rather alone in... That exp of feelin like youre fightin a battle against your self, or some part of your self anyways; smth ive dealt with since as long as i can remember
I call them brain worms, and it rly helped to simply recognise them as such and not entirely as the same me/you that is my consciousness; still a part of my self, but not a part of my conscious self. I can better tackle my brain worms bcuz im able to see them as such and not see them as my own doubts and worries; but a particularly intensified version of such that gets there by wormin in on an idea and rly makin it hard to shake
Ive yet to watch the movie, broke rn, but i know im gonna love it sm just havin seen how hyped John and everyone else genuinely is for it; and knowin how good his book adaptations have been with similar ppl at the helm
