  • This video details the realization of a Micro Scale Crawler body for Orlandoo Hunter OHA3501 at 1/35. Based on a resin body of Defender D90 with a really committed look for extreme trips. Cutting of the body, mastic, roll cage manufacturing, painting, stickers, I show you everything in this tutorial.

I'm not a huge fan of the defender and have only seen a few that I have liked so far ... This just became one of my top 5 favorite defender builds! Awesome work! The chopped and re-sculpted bodywork is so much like my style!
If you mix some of the small styrene plastic bits with some liquid modeling glue it will make a liquid plastic that you can use to glue the structural parts together giving it more strength in the end. Would work great in the joints of your exoskeleton cage and in the joints of the body if the body is plastic. I don't know if it will adhere to 3D print material though. The consistency of the liquid plastic should be a little thicker than syrup. If you need me to I will make a video showing the materials I've used for it and the consistency etc etc. I've used it for years and it works great for basically welding the plastic together. Makes a really strong joint and filler.

Thank you a lot for your feedback and compliment ! Yes, I did this Defender like I love them: just oriented to pure off-road and extrem challenge ! I did not aware about the trick with styrene and plastic glue. Thank you for the advice, I gonna to try (I have some project with exocage in my head). Fell free to share your video link. I am very interested. I tried to make smooth junction with epoxy glue but it was a disaster… and I am still looking for a way to get smooth and strong junction. Thank you again.

      @@alpinerc1295 cool cool! 👍
I have a bottle that I keep mixed of the diy liquid plastic weld glue, so I'll show that in the video and show how it's made, pretty simple actually.
