Thanks for doing this Josh, I really appreciate it. The video came out amazing and you did a fantastic job, absolutely love it!! And thanks for the shout outs and for sharing your awesome Dino Charge toys!
The problem is that nowadays Power Rangers tries all the time to recreate that Mighty Morphin atmosphere instead of the creativity that was in the Saban and Disney era. even the opening recycles the theme song endlessly. In Space and Lost Galacy was something so unusual to even see in Japanese Tokusatsu and today it's all so much more of the same...
Dino Charge was the season that made me not give up on the franchise after the Megaforce and Super Megaforce fiasco. I was suffering heavy burn out and it came right at the right time for me.
In my opinion, Dino super charge still holds up, as much as people say it doesn’t. Ryan carter nailed his performance as Heckyl, even though it sounded like he was bored during the final arc of the show. Glad to see his dream of becoming the talon/dark ranger is potentially coming true.
Yeah Dino charge was the last time I really enjoyed the show, heck even the toy line was amazing giving us all the rangers, villains, and even toy exclusive zords. I wish they did toy exclusive rangers like rpm but I love what we got
I was on the Henshin Justice forum back then and some rep actually came in to ask our opinions. I remember telling them that they should try for a more original opening (less Go Go rethreading), that they should try to match the suit actors better (because Sentai actors are amazing at expressing their character without a face), I told them the Rangers should have personal conflict with each other, that they don't all have the same kind of quips in battle. I also told them to lean in into the whole 'Rangers out of Time' thing they had with Koda and Ivan and also make Black a Wild West Gunslinger, but that suggestion didn't stick... It really showed that they cares about this season more than before... and probably more than since, sadly.
Yeah Dino Charge got me back into power rangers. I started watching less and less till Mystic force witch was my last season watching with my nephew. My Son got into Dino Charge and so I watched it with him and was surprised at how much I liked it.
I remember seeing the trailer for Dino Charge after the finale of Super Megaforce, literally after the final episode ended the first trailer for Dino Charge aired immediately after.
I love dino charge, definitely one of my favorite seasons. Super charge I loved as well, though that ending was wild. I kinda just think they could have just gone back in time to before the world was destroyed and just team up with their past selves but I guess that'd be even weirder lol. But for what we go, I wouldn't change it for anything. Just want these seasons to get more love in the fandom for not just being the best season in the neo-saban era but also for being a really fun and solid season on its own.
That's crazy, after watching Dino charge it inspired me to watch the previous seasons, and rewatch the ones from my childhood SPD, ninjastorm, dino thunder and jungle fury
If I am not wrong, the Zyudenchi were explained to be the souls and powers of the dead Zyudenryu from 11 to 23 and not some random gimmick because in one episode, there was flashback scenes of the death of Allomeras ( 15 ), Stymero ( 14 ) and Deinochaser true form ( 11 )
I actually went back and watched all the Power Rangers seasons that had aired at the time either while I was waiting for Dino super charge to start airing, or after episode eight of Dino charge.
If you want more things to try and wrap your brain around, go check out the DRPR series. But, I just think that’s a really cool fan made version of the Power Rangers continuity, where *spoilers* Lost galaxy takes place in the rpm universe for some strange reason, and the Zordon Era is split between the TV show continuity, and this fan made add-on. Which, I think is really cool.
Dino (Super)Charge was the only recent PR series that felt fun to me. That was the only one since the Disney era where I felt the actors enjoyed being Rangers, where the scenarists and directors wanted to bring something interesting and new and actually wanted to captivate the public rather than follow a recipe. The fighting choreographies were all amazing during both morphed and unmorphed fights and really felt like they wanted to recreate the sense of "waking up to an awesome superhero performance" that Kyoryuger had. I don't know what impact Dino Charge had on the general audience but from what I've seen, Brennan Mejia is one of the most appreciated PR actors ever and his implication in the show and its whole universe makes me sincerely cheer up.
The Dino charge toyline is what got me to start collecting power Ranger figures because I thought it was cool that some villains of the week made it in there shame we didn’t get one for Lord Archon
I remember PR video discussions on people having mixed feelings because it was going to the third dinosaur season back in 2014 and if we were tired of dinosaur theme teams.
And I guess the production crew just saw people talking about Dino themes and was like "They mentioned Dino themes online. GREEN LIGHT ANOTHER DINO SEASON" xD
Dino Charge was decent, and I can accept the cut of my favorite thing in Kyoryuger which is the music incorporate with make Kyoryuger a very unique sentai and one of my top 5. But the ending is just...
I also think it's a shame we never got the Dark/Talon Ranger in the season. I've heard movie suits are not part of the contract for adapting and an extra contract/payment is needed to use them. Maybe Saban thought they had the rights, began weaving it into the story then learned they didn't/had to pay more for them and aborted the plotline. If that's the case I'm not sure why it was later allowed for the comics, but as a fan of both the suit and "rarely seen colours" like Navy I'm all for it, and hope we get him and Purple/Violet in Lightning Collection.
Honestly power rangers will have a special space in my heart but after beast morphers i stopped cause i watch the super sentai a while back and knew about beast morphers it was good to see them bring back an old antagonist genix or however you say it from RPM
I heard there was actually a dip in Super Samauri especially among fans who were children as after Rick Medina's actions were heard about by their parents they told their kids if they ever again watch one single episode of any kind of Power Rangers they would be grounded for life, and an extremely large majority of children actually took that seriously. After all, remember back in September of 2001 when a Power Rangers actor actually got murdered, not to mention at an extremely young age? Parents were obviously wondering how could the show be so hypocritical?
I really hope that sledge comes back for Power Rangers cosmic fury. Just as an unannounced unrevealed rumor-less surprise from Hasbro. Who knows. I mean, Heckyl is going to potentially be in the show. So, why not good old sledge.
My main issues with Dino supercharge is the introduction of the Statue of Liberty guy and Torin for no reason just to use stock footage. They should have made keeper the silver ranger instead of Zenowing as there was no reason to introduce Zenowing especially since it was so late. Instead of going back in time, they should have just made Sledge evolve into Deboss. Just so many things the first have was being great with by having an American made villain to throw that away in the second half of the second season so they can burn through Kyoryuger.
For once I agree, Dino Charge is a awesome show I enjoyed watching it. That's awesome that they brought up the lightning collection of the figures, So cool 😎.
I was hype for dino charge when it came out cuz suffering problems from stress from school and getting bullied at school for likeing power rangers i ignore what they say. I was confused when didnt adtapt go-busters. Kyoryuger and precure did got american adaptation
Hopefully they don’t touch Donbrothers and adapt it like fr. Donbrothers is just absolutely amazing and I’m low key scared on how they’ll adapt the Kyuurangers coming out this year. As of right now, I’ve only heard bad rumours surrounding it with one being them not doing the actual Kyuuranger suit which is pretty disappointing considering it’s one of the best Sentai Suits from the 2010s.
Dino Charge is easily my favorite Season of Power Rangers since RPM (not better than RPM), Samurai was meh, Megaforce was why did you do this, and then Dino Charge comes along and I will admit I did fall out of Dino Charge, due to me not really getting it at the time (I'm 18 now, so that should tell you how old I was then), but I went out and bought the complete 1st season, watched it and am like, I missed out on so much, Super Charge's drop off was not as bad for me, especially since the whole time travel shenanigan at the finale led to a very funny interaction between Slegde and Tyler (let me guess magna beam)
I saw this season and it didn't excite me very much because the only thing I really enjoyed was the love story between Tyler and Shelby. This season is one of my least favorites but I do respect fans who love it. I loved Megaforce because that and Samurai were the seasons that got me into PR. I have stated that I enjoy Dino Fury way more than Dino Charge.
Great. I thought I only had two or three repayments to track down. You’re telling me I could potentially track down the prize exclusive all gold Dino charge megazord? You know, I might just have to.
@@TokuTopics I mean, maybe the gold version of the Japanese mini Plaske model was the inspiration for this prize giveaway. I only ever got one of the overall giveaways, and it was the ninja mega falcon megazord Dino charger.
i vaguely remember dino charge and .. it was.. just ok... Nothing amazing, though the opening song certainly felt like it harkened back to older power rangers a bit.. I think i watched most of the first season, but none of season 2.. just got bored of it ended up rewatching older better power rangers series instead
Like a lot of seasons, the Dino Charge toys are a definitive downgrade from the Japanese mecha. Smaller, less paint, less features, etc. Which is why it sucks soooooo much that the Japanese sets were from the era when Bandai Japan used horrible quality plastic and each toy would break in some way. I only have the Plezuon toy because it's my favorite mecha from that season but it already has a broken clip! UGH. Still, the awesomeness of the designs shines on the Dino Charge line and I absolutely love busting it out on occasion to go through the combinations ❤️
Eh not for me. I was excited for Beast Morphers and Dino Fury so I definitely don’t think Dino Charge was the last time I was excited for the franchise. Maybe the toy line had me excited but I was still skeptical as we just had Megaforce the previous year. I like Dino Charge don’t get me wrong but it definitely was just a average power rangers series.
For me what makes Power Rangers "bad" is the obsession to make every iteration somehow connected. Why is it needs to be a connection between seasons? It somehow makes the story weird and makes stupid plotholes... Case in point the Mega Force.

Not entirely.
Not really
I would rather have the Hasbro era than the neo Saban era
Dino Charge was the season that made me not give up on the franchise after the Megaforce and Super Megaforce fiasco. I was suffering heavy burn out and it came right at the right time for me.
I love the dark ranger suit so much, I hope it gets a lightning collection figure soon

In my opinion, Dino super charge still holds up, as much as people say it doesn’t. Ryan carter nailed his performance as Heckyl, even though it sounded like he was bored during the final arc of the show. Glad to see his dream of becoming the talon/dark ranger is potentially coming true.
Simply because the whole dark ranger thing is still a rumor, at this point. But, we’ll see what Hasbro/Simon Bennett has to say in… wow, 2 days!

Dino charge also saw the return of giant villain figures even if it was just fury and snide, but it gives you villains for megazords to fight
If Hasbro wasn't a coward they'd find an in-story explanation to basically push Koda into the role JDF carried for 30 years
