as a tower shield unit they should lose to units like iron reapers to be balanced-it armored and shielded units are their specialty. But wuvei surprised me, maybe if you hold block until they do their attack and dont get reset you should kill them more easily, that advance is a trap there.
I feel like the initial shield bash off their 2 is the reason it’s called “counter charge” as it probably knocks them out of the charge just gotta time it JUST right. Maybe they get an I frame on the shield bash. Idk though, seems like they’ll be a good unit once we unlock all the tricks to it. If it’s a tower shield that’s cool. I feel like they get of the best defensive units. Which the Spartans were known for that heavy defense bronze armor. But I would like to see the ability to take out a short sort. But I guess that would make them almost exactly like maidens. So idk. I can’t wait to see what’s what! Thanks for the video.
@@DuckyNobu i completely misread i thought you were using the otherskill not the charge counter but you were, seems like both are pretty bad skills lol.
Bro... Iron reapers are an anti shield unit especially when they flail charge. If the new shield unit beat the best anti shield unit in the game they'd be completely busted.... They don't need buffs. You only tried them against 4 gold units and they only lost against t anti shield reapers and Queens which will phase through their formation. The fact that they beat silahadars with almost no losses tells me they're fine
The advance should be more effective to push trough a shield wall or something like that. Also you didn't use the second part of it properly. When the line was reaching the circle you needed to press the skill again for a shield bash and a stronger jump at the end. I feel like in 1v1 like you did keeping them in formation and only using the first skill would be way better.
Yeah i learned about that.but their advance if you don't push enemy away it's useless.Because they keep walking forward and enemy can either run away or backstab you.
Ofc they should lose to reapers its their job to win against tower shields its fine to lose agains queens as they are the best dueling unit 2 ability need fix so units dont get throw it if they just push any unit they coldie this will fix it
man i swear Iron reapers are litterly just a better shield unit they basicly counter almost all infantry units in multipel fights like 1v2s or even 1v3s some times but u forget that we are 15 players on both sides so they can stack iron reapers to
Iron reapers rely on being in the right place at the right time so they have to be either 2 step ahead or have a competent enough team, they are not as a good frontline units as people think of, they have defensive stats and hp but don't have shields so they will get hit by everything and still die as fast due to how much damage the most popular meta units deal and since they are the slowest unit in the game, they are also too slow to engage or retreat properly, the only saving grace they have is that they have a huge damage reduction passive, they are a great initial melee t5 unit but there's no particular reason to use them over other melee t5 unit as they rely too much on the user and team skill level, most of the other seasonal t5 are outright better under the same circumstances, they need lower user and team skill for the same effect. One example is one gate was held by 1 imperial shield and 1 imperial arquebusiers against 2 iron reapers, they couldn't move around the corner or will be shot down in seconds, the shield player even pushed beyond the gate and sidestep 2 reaper charges, the user quickly stopped the charge and retreated them but the one reaper who reached the gateway immediately died, the reapers couldn't overwhelm the shields fast enough, and even if they did, by that time the imperial arquebusiers would have been basically shot down most of them and could simply walk away. I have even seen reapers getting killed by cover commander imperial shields because they engaged sub optimally, the flail charge + flail tiger step wasn't enough to kill them as they engaged sub optimally
The 2nd skill is extremly hard to use and doesn't push the enemy away.so your advance sucks.but yeah you right need to use it in close combat the skill first.
@@DuckyNobu it's called charge counter after all, I think you are supposed to time the skill so it intercepts incoming units to so sort of "mitigate" the initial burst of damage to then it's slowly walks in to kill kill them, since it's a shield unit, with the cc immunity doctrine, I think they can be potentially invincible for a few seconds during the march
Im happy that pros like you know evrything. The unit been released today so ofc i don't know all it's secrets. However the F2 seems much better advance because they all hit th enemy. But hey will try f1 in my next video don't worry. As i said the unit just been released i don't know all it's secrets im tryng it out like evryone else.Glad you can do better though.
Im sure players now will be playing football with these spartan kicks hahaahaha. The spartan class already looks really bad and weak. It will get destroyed by other classes like pikeaxe. You are a slow mobility class and you also get ulti that kicks your enemy further away? Seriously? You want your enemy as close as possible to you. Just cheap imitation of the movie nothing more and it is sad because Spartans was the best warriors walked on earth.

Shield maiden male version
but better 😂

I'm thinking of making a kick off the wall montage when defending 😂😂
Seems that the new t5 is a support unit to make that walking blob of anger even more unstopable, but alone they are feeble.
Tier 5 has a really high skill ceiling

don't worry. Devs will always buff new season units before or during release
shield seems a bit bigger than what I imagined
Oh wow, maul grab throw off wall. Now gonna get kick off the wall lol
was is this armor and how do i get ir nobunaga
Medium.next season you just farm it.
Imagen that your ancesters fight for you.
why do you use advance to counter charge lol.
No idea.Still tryng to understand the unit. But the 2nd skill for spartans it's evrything.First skill is really bad.

I almost lost vs silahdars and i didn't beat no T5 unit beside silahdars. They will get buff trust me.

I bet farmers will beat them
WELL WELL WELL, I hoped the class and the t5 unit was broken but.... ITS WAY TOO OP! Lol that gonna be a good season >:)
ok nvm unit looks weak hope it get some doctrines to buff it
What’s the counter for phalanx. Could these Spartans counter the Macedonians?
OH yeah the spartans don't win ease as they veryy difficult to play. And they definetly in need of a buff.
@@DuckyNobu So you're saying, if they bluff the Spartans, they could be play as a straight counter to phalanx? i'm curious
look amazing
The class animations looks goofy as hell

They dont learn anything from VG😂. Any unit with accumulation thing should have way higher stat to pay off charge off time
I agree with that.but again it's still TEST SERVER so might get some buffs.
