The reason people say that stupidly is because they are poorly educated and you need cleverness, phylosophy , metaphysics and education to understand Tupacs lyricism , poetry and philosophy .. and sometimes comes from haters and jealoused people

Because New York rappers can't believe the rejected stone is the head coner stone that's 2pac story.so they keep hating and saying bs that 2pac was lyrical..when the truth is even their best will struggle to match 2pac lyrically. Truth...

This is a real collaboration. The song was recorded not long before Tupac's death, and it was the last time Scarface and Tupac met.
They were very close, and you can find a lot of interviews where Scarface tells Pac stories.
Much like with Treach, you can tell that Face really loved Pac when you hear him talk about Pac in interviews.

I always hated it that Johnny P never gets the shine he deserved for what he brought to this song (probably his most famous mainstream feature appearance) and music in general as the _Nate Dogg of Chicago_
He and Pac are both dead but this is the only comment line commemorating him.
"Do U?", "Sex Appeal", "Po' Pimp", "Still Po' Pimpin", "Playa Like Me & U", "Lil Ghetto Boy", "Yo Body", "Emotions" all chicago classics that he blessed with his vocals. Give them a listen and keep Johnny P's voice alive.

Yes!! Been waiting on this reaction since he first started reacting to Pac on the channel!!! So this song was completed a few weeks before Tupac was shot and died in Vegas. Scarface did add the part about saving a prayer for Pac after the fact. Also, there is a version that after he says save a prayer for the homie Pac, he says save a prayer for the homie Big as well referencing Biggie's passing. And yes, Scarface is definitely one of my favorite rappers as well. Love this track with him and Pac!
The chorus has the cadence of a song called Tell Me If You Still Care by the S.O.S. Band.

Scarface's verse is so underrated. It's wild how many people pass that up. The part where he says "over football, chose to cook raw" is so heavy. I know plenty of rising stars that chose the street life over their talent. Deep. Also, that 2nd Pac verse is just ridiculous poetry. Classic song. Timeless. Soul music.

It was recorded right before pac died. His last 2 collabs was that song and niggas then changed with Oakland legend Richie Rich. But the song they are referencing as you say is Angela Winbush song called smile. I think it’s when she was in a duo called Angela and Rene I believe
