Fantastic awesome book you reviewed it thank You So Much, the Sgt Pepper is the best album a musical masterpiece, from the beginning to all the solo works , fantastic I have to find this one, for a perfect part of my collection, you know every album song they played all masterpieces, I want to thank you again for this tremendous video, my friend, Steve
Good early (70's) Beatles book. I remember they wrote in it "only McCartney could have gotten away with Good Night." Which was of course a Lennon song, sung by Ringo.
I have owned this book since the 1970s here in the US. One of the few beatle books at the time. It is an excellent history book of the beatles with lots of pictures and album reviews. It also covers the beatles solo careers thru the 70s. What is nice about the book is that the authors don't sugar coat things. If an album or song stinks they will tell you. .
I had this and the first edition since they came out. I’ve never seen a hard cover edition though, must be very rare! This book totally informed this young second generation Beatles fan at the time, it’s wonderful! The first glimpse for an American fan, of what the original UK Beatles albums looked like. Still wondering what Drive My Car and Nowhere Man are doing on Rubber Soul!
It was updated twice in softcover, the hardcover is rare in north america. I know of 4 in this series. Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and Elvis P. are the others.
Shea (Shay) Stadium is in New York City. That's my comment plus I wish I had that great book. One more thing; Paper Back Writer is one of their hit songs.
Roy Carr is the name worth investigating here, particularly for his years editing the New Musical Express in the the years when that music paper had it's most widely read readership. Enjoy this 1975 book, it proves that there was a strong publishing bandwagon for far longer than fans of The Beatles like to think.

It's a great book. I also have the volume, written by Roy Carr too, dedicated to the Stones. Another great one.

I also have this book, but in Spanish, since the mid-70s. My first Beatles book.

I had that book in the early 70s, probably first edition. I haven’t seen it in years! Thanks for posting
I have this book. It is brilliant! Well worth a quid! I have a later edition that covers the tragic death of John Lennon.
Bought and still have an original copy from when it was first published in the early 70's.

Yes Noel Gallagher named Wonderwall after the film of that name for which George did the soundtrack.

Bargain! I bought the very same book from some record store for about £6.99 last July . It's quite a known Beatles book .
