I have answers for some of your questions, and they both have to do with not touching the left stick: 1) you can boost upward by either tapping the boost button right before holding it down or by holding down the boost button without touching the left stick. You also rise faster and use less energy when you're not moving in any horizontal direction. 2) quickturns are performed by pressing the QB button while only holding a direction on the *right* stick. The left stick overwrites the right stick, i take my thumb off the left stick entirely when i quickturn.
Hell yeah! Have fun bro. Don't forget to try out the different regulations while you play. I recommend 1.4 if you plan on jumping into pvp. Fun fact: The test NEXT is Kasumi, your operator that speaks to you during missions.
your hp at the top has the skinny EN bar above it which you probably figured out but then the fat bar on the right, that fat bar is your PA and it acts like a shield that reduces damage you take. think halo but you still take some damage. once it depletes you take way more damage. when looking at weapons finding ones that can penetrate or strip PA (PA reduction iirc) are good for enemy AC fights, kinda like having a balance of stagger and damage in ac6 kinda or just have both with explosives. thats why it felt like you weren't doing any damage to karen and why it started doing work later. and why weapons might seem underwhelming at first when really they are just getting reduced by pa, that was a trap i fell for and thought certain weapons were just trash this isn't game breaking to ignore, I never payed attention to it when i played 4 and 4a but for the alt endings on 4a i did learn them and that opened up the game a lot for understanding when to use what weapons. also your other parts give PA like they do AP as well as a stat for how effective the PA is. but thats just fun facts if you want to get bulky. and that annoying auto turning you kept doing that made you mald after a QuickBoost is how you quick turn in this game. i actually dont know how to replicate it exactly i just played the game and it started working on muscle memory when I wanted it. also i cannot stress enough to look at your boosters! i avoided trying to learn which ones to use cause you open the menu and theres 4 of them and i was like eh ill be fine and didn't touch them. but they are very straightforward, which each ine does and changing them make your ac feel so much better to pilot, its a night and day difference
To perform a quickturn, you have to QB while only holding a direction on the right stick. I take my thumb off the left stick entirely when i do them because it's kinda finnicky.
Compared to AC6, the game is very loose with the way it controls. Although I love the game, it's certainly very different. Be ready to learn the quick boost for nearly every move you do. This game has all sorts of strange ways to quick-boost that make CQC very frantic. The series is known for it's huge and unfair difficulty spikes, so be ready for that. One more thing; melee spam is the best movement technique for long distance.
I think its so cool to see every AC pilot EVER, no matter how good they've been in the past.... struggle to handle their first Next. its a cool journey to go through and having gone through it before AC6 made me such a better pilot.
Yessah! I'm hyped for this. Of the older AC games I missed out on, Last Raven and For Answer are the two I most want to play. This is making me want to finally pick it up. I tried the AC4 demo as a kid at a game store and fell in love with the overboost sound lmao. Brooooo 26:00 clutched it out!
OMG... Aaliyah as a starter NEXT.... thats going to be somewhat rough on a first run we typically recommend Type B controls and hope the emulator understands how 2nd Stage QB works
I started with AC2, and i went through all of gen 3/3.5, and skipped gen 4 and 5 due to not getting a PS3. I hope to get an emulator and do 4A one day!
here some helpfull tips 1.most part are great so you can try experiment with build and this game is sequel so there are lot of parts here 2.weapon recomendation for me are: laser blade to fight against armsfort(big target easier to hit), machinegun also great at early and mid, and try to learn aim and double rifle if you struggle in mid or late game 3.in mid and late game the enemy AC are fast to the point its hard to hit them for newcomer 4. this game(all AC game except AC 6) doesn't have checkpoint or supply so manage your hp and ammunition as some mission are quite long 5.there is a move called chain boost its literally like some anime move movement you can try look the tutorial in youtube, if you love melee you gonna love this move 6.also if you love melee you can dual wield it and spam it, just imagine spamming a dual moonlight that have 18.200 damage 7.the game have 3 ending you will unlock first ending as you progress, and on new game+ you get alternate route of mission that lead to second and third ending 8.there is also tuning that will make certain part of your ac become better and also stabilizer its bit complex but all you need to know is try to make it to the center if you think its over there is option for hard mode, its have more enemy, more dialogue, and more lore to story. very recomended after you finish all 3 ending
Double blades (each hand a blade) LW is the S tier. Also dual rifles (1 white glint 1 sniper) micro missiles and slug gun shoulder LW is also S rank. Kojima is insane
A tip from me. Use hold the melee weapon button for long leaps of speed, this would track and home into your opponent. If you have a second blade, you can combo closing with a followup by holding the other button. Good luck finding it out chief
15:35, honestly, in some of the earlier games it feels like your operator is pulling out a measureing tape, and if you go so far as 1/4 of an inch over bounds, mission fail
Glad to see AC6 players diving into what AC should actually be. Wish this game was on PC cause I would be there. Yes, I'm salty af AC6 changed the games so much. I played the hell outta AC4, and cant bring myself to play 6. Anyways, looking forward to AC4 pvp videos. Maybe a tutorial of how to get pvp lobby etc working on PC emulator... never tried, but would.
Enjoy your journey dude, this game is fkin dope. The one that made me fall in love with AC

Welcome to the real highspeed combat of Armored Core series
Oh my God thank you so much for doing it. I can’t wait to watch this game from you. you have no idea how hype this is

Enjoy buddy!
In water upward boosters get wonky, stop moving and then boost. Also plasma weapons lag the game
4:40 lol
There's an active PVP scene for this game in the AC discord server
they have an already set-up emulator and guide, if anyone wants to play

My Fav armored core out of all the series. Hope you enjoy bro 😎
The lore or AC4 and 4A plays into the background of AC5 and ACVD.
I wanna try ranking up in PvP even though I'm new to AC6 I might try and get all 3 endings first tho.
You're better off doing that. Also look for new parts throughout the game. There videos explain how to obtain them.
I want to play armored core for answer

BakeCakes playing ACFA in 2024??? LESGOOOOOO
15:35, honestly, in some of the earlier games it feels like your operator is pulling out a measureing tape, and if you go so far as 1/4 of an inch over bounds, mission fail
The mission briefings tended to crashed my emulator for me. :(
Glad you’re playing this 💪🏾😎💯
bosses in this game be sick just wait
Try out the Type-B controls set up
i Enjoyed the vid
Enjoy! Still need to do the third ending myself and need to get on that. Also, the order matches are the equivalent to the arena from previous games.
This game is where I came into the series.
The pace of this game is insane... in a good way.
i can't wait to see how you do on one of the final missions, for the bad ending
Great pick, I love this game
