Oh Whitney, I am so sorry that you have not been making more tutorials. Your clear "viewing"and vocal instructions are amazing! This has been a lifesaver for me. I will definitely be watching it over and over until I get it down pat. Thank you for taking your time and effort to do this for us.

I'm brand new to knitting machines (I don't have an Addi... I have a Sentro). In fact, I just got my machine today. So far, I've made 2 hats and a scarf, all from "tubes". I've crocheted for 40+ years and I've been using a knitting loom for about a month so I was kind of able to fix dropped stitches and other "weird" stitches, but this video really helped me identify the potential problems BEFORE they happened. Thank you so much!

Wow u have a remarkable comprehension of the mechanics of how this works. I have a hard time with visualizing such things but really want to understand the needles and going backward and forward etc. You helped me so much. I have a knock off version right now I just want to make pieces of knit to play around with dyes, and I will re-knit it by hand. I have found I have to be SUPER gentle with worsted, the first machine I had lasted an hour and the gears got stripped. Then I read that some folks on amazon have similar problems with Addi also, but you really have it down. Thanx again, I shall look forward to more videos from you.

Thank you for this thorough demonstration!!! . Especially helpful that you knew the importance of zooming in on the needles you were talking about and working on. I've only been knitting on my Addi for a month but would have saved myself SOOO much frustration if I had come across this video back then. You need to convince Skacel / Addi to include it or a form of it with the sell of every loom.

I have a 22 needle addi and it always catches on the 20th needle. I already have the king size addi and recently invested in the small one and made about 1/2dozen headbands before it started messing up. I’m not sure if it’s the yarn or something wrong with that needle.

I just got the Addi King. Is the circular size just 48, so you have to make all circular things that specific circumstance? Seems limiting. Can you knit socks on it? Or varying stitch types like cables or seed stitch? Is there a weight to contro the tension? Which groups do you recommend joining to learn more about what is possible with this machine? To make an adult sized jumper... how and where do you make the initial measurements and then translate these measurements to rows and length? Maybe I am being a bit ambitious here as I have never used a knitting machine before... but making a jumper is my eventual goal. I don’t understand how to calculate the measurements (I have a horror of maths!). I don’t want to just make endless scarves and beanies on my new machine! Thanks for any help! PS. Your instructions are very clearly communicated and understood in this video... I would have probably given up on the whole garment if I dropped a stitch.

I spin my own yarn and I think it is the thickness of worsted #4 but it varies. Sometimes it turns out thick and sometimes thin. I'm new to all the language. I would want to know that my yarn will work. What thickness does your roving yarn above state that it is? I just curious if I'm going to be able to use this machine. Thanks!

I am struggling trying to find some online help with today's Addi challenge. I am making a reversible hat where with the outside of the hat I have knitted every other row a Fair Isle stitch alternating 2 different colored yarns (primary hat color and 1 accent yarn color). Once I completed several rows of this F.I., I realized I had a dropped stitch near the first FI row. Because I have all of these float yarns laying around I can't figure out which yarns to work with when trying to correct my dropped stitch. I learned from you how to correct dropped stitches but I am really struggling being able to determine from the back side of the project which yarns to pick up. I don't know if it would solve my challenge but I do not know how to correct dropped stitches from the front of the project. Thank you for any help you can offer. This is the 2nd time this has happened in 2 days. The first time I was only 1/3rd the way through the project so I just frogged the whole thing and started over.

Hey I don’t know if you have the time.or if it is worth a video but I keep getting to the end of my projects and as I’m taking the hat off the machine I lost about four stitches two rows 2 stitches in each row .I couldn’t get the hat back on the needles . Ok so I secured the rest of the stitches. Now the work is off the machine. Do you know how or could you recommend a video where I could learn to fix these kind of dropped stitches. I’m not moving the hat until I know(keep, or frog) Thanks

HELP!! What I need to know is how to take out all the stitches from an incomplete project. I got all the way to row 150/150 of my project before I realized I dropped a stitch at around 145. The project is quick enough that I prefer to just start all over again using the same yarn, but I can't figure out how to take this apart so I can rewind the ball. I would hate to think I'm just out of luck and wasted an entire skein that can't be salvaged. Every tail I pull on only seems to tighten the project to close the ends though. Any tips out there?

Hello It depends on how you casted off. You need to remove the yarn that you used to cast off with in order to unravel your work.
