We’ve got a lot to thank that little blind angel for. Of course it was stupid of Keith to bring that amount into Canada, giving the police an excuse to charge him for trafficking. But both he and Anita were deeply addicted and their worst fear might have been “oh God; what if our (drug) connections in Canada fail...” At the same time it seems obvious that the Canadian legal authorities found that the police charging were a bit overdone, amounts or not. Everybody knew that Keith was addicted and at the same time that a rich rock star didn’t have any need to do drug trafficking for economical reasons. My guess is that the Judge was relieved to find a sensible solution to this problem... But without the blind angels initiative this solution might never have appeared - and the story of The Rolling Stones could have been totally different.
They say it takes about ten years for an addict to want to stop and get help, if you haven't done it by then you May continue for another 10 years if you're lucky. Took me 26 years to really kick
from late 70s oh yeh and coke and booze isn´t really drugs huhh keiff that´s just vitamins hehehehh oh whatever why the hell not in life it can be needed
Keith never really said he was sorry, Mick said that he couldn't believe that Keith passed the Canadian border with such a quantity of heroine, taking the risk to put all the band down, it's as simple when you are a junkie, the rest is storytelling for children.
that generation and those before them don´t apologies for anything nothing they can´t do it for some reason if you bug them long enough and yr in yr right they´ll might do it at some point but only in a sarcastic way it´s true
you are a a complete fool. He literally stopped using Heroin because it affected the rest of the band. That is much more sincere than an empty apology.
Addiction is hard to leave behind.

Why should he be sorry, He was addicted, it's an illness!

Keith later said he was sorry to put the band in such a situation.
He was not junkie enough not to be to play on stage.
