It's funny what you say about the driving. When I first started driving in the US I would drive 'UK style' and flash people to let them go or wave to let them in, and all it did was confuse people and we would just end up with neither of us going. So unfortunately I now drive like an American just to fit in with the rest of the driving populous, but it does break my heart slightly every time I don't let somebody go.
This was your 2nd video I watched. I watch a lot of British TV, always wanted to go there but, nothing I watched before from ex-pats was as honest and true as your videos. Love it! Keep it up!
lol you are not the only one . I am from England and when someone asks how i am i always say yea i'm good you? It isn't seen as rude but it all depends on that person. I tend to say yes if it my boss though as i see it as a little bit more professional in work.
Girl yes! Germany has some of the same thing's especially recycling. To recycle here it's very strict, but you definitely get use to it. I've learned so much living here and though I'm not drinking now due to pregnancy, I did however drink a lot after moving here because the drinks taste so different. They have beer gardens in the summer so 🤷♀️ lol but yes I can definitely relate to all of this 😂

Chips + Mayo yes I 100% agree. I don't know what American mayo is like but it is a winning combination! Especially if the fries or chips are salty... it just works!
My grown up grandson could never get his head around why people liked mayo but missed having a relish with his tomatoes. I suggested he tried salad cream (which has a tang to it)and he loved it. BTW I love your commentary.
Have you tried the wide selection of wines on offer. From Argentina, South African to France, Spanish, Egyptian, Austrailia or New Zealand or German in the local supermarkets. I don't live in the U K anymore and wines where I am are soooo limited. Pubs are for social occassions to meet, chill and chat but pubs have so much more to offer. You get free live music from local bands etc, pubs have quizz nights pubs have their own football, cricket, snooker or darts teams that play against other pubs. Or just go and play for fun. Many pubs have Beer Gardens to sit out in summer days or evenings with kids running round playing and drinking soft drinks while their parents chat.
In my area of Yorkshire, the rubbish/trash gets taken away weekly. The recycling lorries come monthly. But on the days the recycling lorries are due, we still get our household rubbish taken by the other lorries.
They stopped the weekly normal bin day where I live when they gave us recycling bins (Lancashire but it is down to your local council) I think it was about 15 years ago, maybe more. We have a red lid bin for cardboard and yellow for bottles/glass/aluminium cans/foil etc and a normal black Wheely bin for household rubbish. We used to have a brown bin for compostable food and garden waste but it caused rat problems so they switched it to just garden waste but about 3 years ago they made an extra charge for emptying that bin because not everyone has a garden and not many would need emptying in winter. So it's like the girl said one week it's recycling bins emptyed and next week it's normal bin. It's a nightmare at Christmas when you end up with extra rubbish!
Ohh that could be it. Even when I visited home a few weeks ago nobody had recycling bins out, and if they did, they were few and far between. I hope to keep up the habit of recycling when I move back to the States because it really makes the most sense lol don’t know why we never did it in my area
Driving puts you in charge of a two ton killing machine. You have to respect everyone on the roads including pedestrians of course. Recycling is all over the planet except America...

In Wales, or at least in Cardiff, our recycling is collected from the curb side every week and rubbish alterative weeks !
