@@akutooth it lost roughly 30-40% dps from the nerfs, still completely playable, but not great for endgame bossing. I did update the mobalytics guide for that build as well if you did want to continue playing it.
i'm already doing that, just throw a tornado behind the boss and start shooting arrows that pierce. instant 50% more dps on a barebones 1 max tornado without links lul

You can also just take orb of storms (with chain or +1 limit or both) and then spam lightning rod instead of cast on shock. Viable for a 1st playthrough, much easier on the int requirements and you can utility support the OoS with stuff like blind, cull etc. Lightning rod is just a broken skill and will probably be nerfed
@@thendcomes Most likely yes depending on whether you're scaling gem levels or not since you cut out the BL cost. At level 20 lightning rod will cost 40, so you will definitely need to solve it elsewhere with one or a combination of '% skill cost converted to life cost' (free with life on hit from quiver or smth) and mana regen. You can find %cost conversion on the tree and on jewels up to 8% I think. I'm still levelling my deadeye so I can't say for sure but I might have to anoint price of freedom.
It's not a broken skill at all, without lightning rod the ranger clear goes to absolute trash tbh. Just try lightning arrow without lightning rod and see how terrible it is. unplayable.
Vine arrows is completely broken right now, I'm getting 1 million+ dps on tooltip. It works by getting +skill level attribute on your quiver and amplifying it using jewels and passive nodes, each level adds 1.3x the dps of the skill, so +15 levels will be 50x the dps.
All of the constant nerfs have made me not want to play anymore. Mostly because of the respecting costs associated with it I'm just broke all the time trying to fix builds that they have killed.
ggg has gotta change their philosophy on nerfs. it feels like they just watch streams and say “that’s too strong, let’s obliterate it” which unintentionally hurts a large portion of the player base.
agreed. players should be rewarded for playing flawlessly and making good builds, in my opinion they should actually buff every skill so everything have the same potential to be groundbreaking if you play well enough. the problem comes when something is a clear outlier on the low-end, which then i agree with nerfs, but when it comes to power ceiling anything should be OP

If you keep buffing everything to match what the strongest builds are doing, you create massive power creep, meaning mobs also need to be scaled up to compensate, which means you will have to buff more builds/skills. It's an infinite loop. I'm sure GGG has a place where they'd like to see all skills performing and are bringing massive outliers back in line to achieve that idea.
Herald of Thunder got a fix because it wasn't working as intended and since LA was abusing it of course it lost roughly 40% of it's dps. It's not GGG nerfing the build but fixing a gem that's all.
@JohnWick-pr8oh you are just wrong. the number of levels/rounds directly correlates to the lvl of the sanctum/ultimatum, 60+ is 3 trials / 7 rounds and 75+ is 4 trials / 10 rounds. Regardless it is irrelevant, the sanctum was lvl 78 and i killed the final boss from 4th stage so your comment is just pointless
For the aura setup I am little confused. Are we not using wind dancer? With 120 spirit I can use Herald of Thunder, Herald of Ice, and Cast of Freeze(or shock) but no Wind Dancer. Do we only add Wind Dancer when we have 150 spirit?

I don't get it. How is the setup done with 100 Spirit? Heralds are 30 each, Wind Dancer is 30, and Cast-on-Shock/Freeze is 60. Do we disable Wind Dancer?
@@SonnyDa3rd Yeah no shit. In the video he also says you only need 100 spirit minimum. And from his mobalytics guide "Only need 100 spirit to make this work." but he never got into the exact setup just that you can swap around a few things but nothing adds up to 100.
It's the only source of mana on hit in the game. If you don't use thief's torment you'll instantly run out of mana, which destroys your boss dps. It's not really needed until you start doing t11+ maps.
right, gotcha. have you seen the new unique mana flask tho? it doest end when unreserved mana is filled so it might work out better on bossing. just spam it and you'd have an extra 4k+ mana for 10 seconds, and it even brings some nice extra dps to the build.
By level 70, we can have a max of around 162 Dex from the tree, 15 base Dex from Ranger, 7 base Int from Ranger, and 5 Dex and 5 Int from the attribute bonus from campaign. That's 182 Dex and 12 Int. At this level, Lightning Arrow only requires 151 Dex, so we can convert the excess Dex on the tree into Int. 152 Dex and 42 Int. That means we need a total of 95-42=53 Int from gear at this point. What's the best way to skillfully acquire these stats, in addition to the life/evasion/dual res we need on every piece?
you buy attribute gear from trade site and win? you can buy dex pieces with dex and swap out the tree points for int, not that hard to wrap your head around
@@R_a_X a way is to farm maps and campaign until you get the essences which guarantee an attribute, play multiple new characters farming gear and gambling to get the attributes and drops needed, IF you wish to invest in SSF for this build. SSF is just farm a lot and make sure you use what little deterministic crafting there is with the essences that guarantee the attribute mods.
@@brian.webster I do exactly this. Stats are so important in PoE2 for the above reason. That doesn't change the need for having an extra desirable mod on an item, which takes exponentially more time. I guess that's just it... it comes down to playtime/how many exalts you throw at gear.

I was expecting it to be covered in the vid, in the guide or in FAQ but i cant find for my life the explanation on what makes ball lightning generate so much damage on the boss. Lightning Rod states, any Chaining Lightning beams can chain to it. When chained to, the arrows release another Lightning burst. Orb of Storms and ball lightning can both chain to the rods, so you trigger many lightning bursts per second that scale off of your bow damage.
I know this game is EA and I understand that there will be a lot of changes in the balance of the game. Nevertheless, I quit playing because of GGG's Nerf bomb. I'm disappointed because the Nerf scale is too heavy, rather than just being upset with Nerf.

They didn't nerf anything on this build just fixed Herald of Thunder bug resulting in a 40% damage loss. Not GGG fault if people are abusing buggy skills honestly. I do agree that Cast on Freeze nerf was way too excessive tho.

there are area level requirements to ascend, now the item to enter the trial shows if it will ascend you or not

Also for bosses with 100 spirit you have cast on freeze and cast on shock enabled but that is 120 spirit.

So how many spirits do we need and what auras do we use? In a guide i can see 4 auras whit Thunder + Ice + castShock+ castFrozen = 180 spirits

How did you get the last Ascendancy? I thought it was bugged currently?

Honestly just consider dex or int to be as important as a resist stat... It's too easy for POE1 players to discount the value of attr stats in POE2
