  • A nice chronology of links that speak for themselves:
    David Hicks releases a book about his experience in Camp X-Ray, Guantanamo Bay;
    Wikileaks releases another batch of classified US military documents about the invasion in Iraq that reveals first hand evidence of US and allied complicity in torture, rape, murder and other war crimes;
    Former Prime Minister John Howard releases his own book and spruiks it on TV, defending his choices about Iraq and Afghanistan, gets shoes thrown at him in protest;
    David Hicks asks John Howard during the same TV programme whether he still supports the system that tortured him and held him without trial for nearly 6 years...
    Howard says yes. "Was it better that somebody who was alleged to have done these things goes through a military commission or they come back to Australia and be completely free without charge and without trial?"

    I just love how these people throw it in our face by saying isn't this a great country by allowing these exchanges to take place.

    Wow the fact that you've edited these really disturbs me. How do you justify removing whole chunks of his interview to yourself?
