Must have been at the very start of my high school years, 1972, that I heard of Peter Andrews the first time... I remember thinking this was the very best idea I had heard about farming practices to that date. Since then, my life never led me to farming despite my best efforts, I have followed and promoted the concept. I am now honored to see these two greats of Australian landscape usage combined for a brighter future.
Every tree and plant around every creek and river is doing a job. Plant more trees and preserve every drop of water in the creeks. Plants take it up and return the water back in a natural cycle creating humidity and adding to life around the banks. Slow the water down and you bring life back. Peter Andrews is a legend. Keep up the good work Peter.
"The one lesson I have learned in 40 years is that an individual is almost powerless. The bigger the team, and it needs to be a champion team, not a team of champions...and that's where we are all headed, I hope in the next few years. That champion team will make a difference to the planet." I love this video.
Peter Andrews's method just makes so much sense, thank you for presenting this. So important for the Australian landscape that we stop ripping out unwanted vegetation.
@@qaptin1996 look up The Mulloon Institute or Regenerative Farming or Natural Sequence Farming and you will find courses and programs to follow. Soils for Life has a whole range of good videos on TH-cam too.
What a pity humans are so obstinate, this man gave us the answer years ago yet government and a lot of individuals still blunder on regardless and bring this environment to the brink of catastrophe with ignorant management practices and wonder why the result is the same. Peter Andrews is a national treasure.
Some Good Points, He is Right about the Importance of Water in a Majority Hot Climate Nation. It Remains My Opinion We have Not Supplied Our Farmers with New Water. Sure there is Some Detail to this, in General if We Change an Area From Natural to Human Use. We are Changing How that Location Cycles. Hence New Water is Needed to Achieve Much Better Balances between Keeping the Creeks and Rivers Running and Providing for Farm Activity. Win, Win, Win is the Target. So I Think SA has a Huge Opportunity before it, New Water, Smart Food Fibre Practices, Amazing Natural Environment.

No comments about the way Don Burke's career ended in disgrace?
Exactly
It doesn’t take away from what Andrews is struggling so hard to achieve and it’s not useful to discuss in this particular forum.
What happened??
