Just coming in for additional info on “B-Roll” it comes from the element in film that indeed deals with main footage shot on Camera A and the secondary footage shot on Camera B.
And since back then film rolls were used, that’s how you get the A-roll (mainly talking heads today) and B-roll (secondary footage).

I work in a Film and TV Archive and yes, spot on. The term stems from when footage was shot on film, we still have some films and documentaries held on A & B roll, ie, 2 reels of film that would be synchronised together to make 1 finished edited feature.
Hahaha I never actually had a second thought about it.. I always assumed it is this one (maybe because I have some experience in acting, and now content creation), but still, Jade made me doubt this and I was scrolling the comments to see if I am right HAHA
I'm a fast paced person, so for me this pace of talking is such that I don't need to speed the video up.

The B-roll tip is super good. Having that bank of media for you to use anytime is useful and makes editing so much easier.
As an American you seem to talk fast but that's because the accent, I have to listen more intensely than probably the average person. I love your content so valuable.
Your pace is perfect - too many creators take hours getting to the point! Plus if there is something super relevant AND complex we can rewind/re-listen.

The B does not stand for anything, is the B as in secondary material, opposite to the A material (the main or most important one). 😊
TV news camera crews shoot the main interview between a reporter and interviewee - a roll, then shoot general shots, the interviewee walking for instance,which the reporter could introduce the item over or end etc - b roll. B roll is often used for adding context like graphics
For me I like listening because you talk at a normal pace and not a painfully slow pace!
I think your talk speed is perfect! Im a girlie from NYC and you give it quick and to the point. You explain things too, so even if I don't catch what you say because of your beautiful accent, I still get the concept through your breakdown.
My mom told me to tell you that she really likes the fonts, colors, and especially the size of your bullet points lolol. She said it's easy to read and helps her keep up (even though I put it on the tv screen for me).

I think the B roll just means it is secondary to A roll. A being the primary clips with the main character and actions, and the B roll is supporting and filling gaps.

I had to check my playback speed before leaving this comment, as I usually listen at 1.25x. 😆 You speak a bit faster than others but I appreciate and prefer that. It holds my attention, plus what you have to say is organic, informational, and doesn't unnecessarily tease the video out to be longer. Keep doing what you're doing! 👍

You’re one of the only educational TH-camrs I can listen to without getting bored 😁 I have a question though: as far as I know, it’s not legal to use instagrams audios if you’re a commercial account in Germany. Can you still make viral reels with copyright free sounds or even your own sound? This is what still holds me back from starting my business, because I think I won’t reach people when I don’t use trending audios…

B roll is the opposite of A roll with is the first footage, the main talking video. B-roll is the secondary footage... A and B is use just as numbering system

I think your pace is great where it's at! If you got much faster, I'd have a hard time, as it takes me a bit to get concepts. 🙃 But your current speed is perfect for me.
PS I thought A roll was the main footage. B Roll was like the side footage like the oldschool cassettes that would have an a side and b side. The a side would be the track that you buy, and the B-side would be a supporting track
