the rebooted Planet of The Apes movies that came out 2011-2017 are truly great films
the original Spider-Man trilogy is my favorite trilogy ever so it’s at S for me. i just absolutely love what Raimi did the character and knew what he wanted with it and took his love for the character and made a fun ride with it and more i watch them, the more i appreciate them and appreciate him for bringing the character to life in the first place. these are movies that made me appreciate comic book movies in the first place and they will always hold a big special place in my heart because of that. but the BTTF probably takes 2nd place for me because it’s so much fun and iconic as hell and the original Star Wars trilogy takes 3rd place. so many great trilogies over the years so it’s hard to really choose some of the great ones.
Rip E, it finally gets a chance to be a grade but then doesn't even get used.
As someone who has the newest Planet of The Apes films as my favorite trilogy of all time I completely understand and respect your reasons for putting it in the B tier
I don’t at all. When you see some of the trilogies ranked ahead it’s laughable.
I truly don’t understand the overhate for Toy Story 4. Toy Story 1-3 is a perfect trilogy for sure, but 4 perfectly ends Woody’s arc and makes it a perfect quadrology. I’d still put Toy Story in S tier factoring in Toy Story 4.
I also think Back To The Future Part II is the best BTTF film. Cranks up everything I love about the first one and make it more interesting and better. I don’t understand the overhate of BTTF 2 either.
"Overhate"? It has a 94% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, a 4.6 on Amazon and is usually seen as a 5/5 masterpiece that isn't quite as good as the original trilogy. Learn what hated means please
@@ammanus356 bruh I know what hate means and it seems like Toy Story 4 does get unfair hate towards it. It’s not over hate, but it’s definitely way more hate than it deserves. Even if it’s not as good as the OG trilogy it’s still a fantastic way to end Woody’s story arc.
As much as I love Toy Story 4, the hate is understandable because it was a completely unnecessary movie. Toy Story 3 was the perfect ending and it showed the journey of the full trilogy with Andy and how at the end of it he's all grown up and gives them away to someone else: it's goodbye. It's so emotional and one of the best endings to a trilogy ever.
I disagree with what you said about Woody's arc in Toy Story 4, the ending did not feel right at all and I was disappointed with it. He left all of his extremely close friends he was with for many years for someone he once loved but was separated with for a very long time. It just felt off.
Not only was Toy Story 4 just completely unnecessary, and no one ever asked for a 4th movie to be made since 3 literally had a perfect and satisfying conclusion to the franchise, it was also an awful movie that ruined Woody's character. He learned in his arcs throughout the 3 films from Andy to always stick by your kid no matter what and to never abandon them, and then for no reason the movie makes him completely leave and abandon Bonnie, as well as his life-long friends and Buzz. Not to mention that they make Buzz just insanely stupid in the movie and don't give him an arc or any character development and Forky is just a dumb character that no one cares about. I left the theater so angry when watching Toy Story 4 and really don't understand how this movie is rated so highly by audiences on Rotten Tomatoes and imdb. Apart from the great animation and production value, the story is so awful and assassinates Woody's character especially, similar to how Luke's character in The Last Jedi was assassinated and ruined as well. This movie does not get enough hate/criticism to be honest. I can't wait to see Toy Story 5 flop at the box office and completely fail
I enjoy your tier lists! The Hobbit trilogy for me rose in enjoyment level when I first did a 6 movie rewatch of them from An Unexpected Journey all the way to Return of the King in chronological order. I kind of look at them as a 6 part epic now. One thing that was immediately noticeable for me was how with each movie was how the ring and sauron gets slowly more prominent and important with each passing film. Also I just like being in the world of middle earth and so the extended editions we’re made for me lol.
I’m a huge Back To The Future fan and I think it’s the greatest trilogy of all time for sure!
Nice thanks for making this. This is going to be big
I have never once agreed with a tier list as much as i agree with this one. Pretty damn spot on. I personally have guardians slightly lower but thats pretty much it
I rewatch Revenge of the Sith so many times and it is my favorite Star Wars movie
Personally, I’d put the prequel trilogy a lot lower (maybe D tier), but both planet of the apes and Captain America in at least A tier. I think the Captain America: the First Avenger is extremely underrated, and winter soldier and Civil War are some of marvel’s best movies, especially Winter Soldier (which I feel IS the best marvel movie). Now, Planet of the Apes, I feel, is a damn near perfect trilogy. That being said, I wouldn’t put these anywhere near, say, the original Star Wars Trilogy, Lord of the Rings, Etc., but they’d easily fall into the A Tier for me.
I 100% agree with you on the Captain America Trilogy. I've rewatched First Avenger so many times, a great and underrated origin story, and the other 2 movies were amazing. A or S tier for me, probably A tier since first avenger brings the trilogy down a bit, but still a good movie and good trilogy.
@@D00MEDTSThe First Avenger is a snooze fest. Winter Soldier and Civil War are goated tho.
The biggest changes I'd make are probably moving the Captain America trilogy up to top of A and the Apes trilogy to S. Also I think I'd move the prequels one tier down
yeah I'd move Planet of the Apes to S but not the top, because I don't love the first movie as much as the second and third
@@despicablebuckaroo7876 true, I have the same thoughts on that. I really love some parts of the first one but overall it is to me comfortably the weakest of the 3
@@lionshistoryandgeographyI agree but to be fair it just had to set up the others
My top 5 trilogies are:
1. OG Star Wars trilogy
2. TDK trilogy
3. Indiana Jones trilogy
4. LOTR trilogy
5. HTTYD trilogy (absolutely adore this trilogy)
I am 100% sure that the spider verse trilogy will crack my top 3 (maybe even number one… it’s personal bias for me) when beyond the spider verse blows my mind
WOAAAA you are sleeping on the Apes Trilogy badly. Those movies are peak. And Dawn is considered the best of the three.
Great ranking! 👍
You need to hand in your movie reviewer card for not having the Matrix trilogy here.
If you were old enough when the movies came out, you remember how wild it was at school and how everyone was talking about it, acting it out, dressing like it…
1st Matrix is really good. Not a huge fan of the others. I also was not born yet when it released so idk the impact it had at the time tho.
It would probably go C or D for me the first is amazing but the other two are mid-bad
Forgot the godfather trilogy
The Lord of the Rings trilogy is right now my favorite trilogy until Beyond the Spider-Verse comes out.
I honestly don’t like the animated Spiderman films but no judgement because I think toy story is a great trilogy
My Top 5 Trilogies:
1. Toy Story
2. LOTR
3. Back to the Future
4. Raimi’s Spider-Man
5. The Hangover
Toy Story are kids films but tell a great story I grew up with them so I agree with number 1
Hate to be this guy but.....
FIRST
W Tier List
My S tier:
Lord of the Rings
Back to the Future
Original Trilogy
The Matrix
Pirates of the Caribeean
Guardians of the Galaxy
Toy Story
of the Planet of the Apes
S: tdk trilogy, star wars og trilogy, gotg trilogy, captain America trilogy, toy story trilogy, Indiana jones, planet of the apes
A: Spider-Man trilogy, Spider-Man home Trilogy, bourne trilogy
B: iron man trilogy
C: X-Men, wolverine
D:
E: Prequels
F: sequels
The Dark Knight is definitely the best movie out of all these movies and batman begins and Rises are good enough to carry the weight of the trilogy and so I think TDK gotta be the best trilogy out of all these movies.
Can't consciously put the sequel trilogy as low as F. Even though it isn't cohesive, there is too much visual beauty and genuinely thrilling moments to disregard the filmmaking completely. I also think the prequels belong in B, no question.
I think me and my support worker Olivia are the only people who didnt cry during GOTG Vol 3. Yes I was sad when Rocket's friends are killed but still didnt cry.
YES honestly man amazing list
Can you share the tierlist you made?
what about dollars trilogy? before trilogy? three colours? cornetto?
No Kung Fu Panda? NO HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON???
can you do another tier list with the best movie in the trilogies? (based on how much it made a the box office)
I say this as a back to the future fan I agree with the take of Spider-Man trilogy being better (but then again I’m also a big Raimi trilogy fan! 😄)
my 3 favourite trilogy in "S" tier ❤
Dark knight
Lord of the rings
pirate of the caribbean
Pirates above TDK is insaneeeee
and anyone who says LOTR isn't number 1 is also lying🤡
Best Movie Trilogies of All Time:
1. Star Wars Original Trilogy
2. The Lord of the Rings
3. The Dark Knight
4. The Godfather
5. Indiana Jones
6. Pirates of the Caribbean
7. Spider-Man Original Trilogy
8. Toy Story
9. Back to the Future
10. Star Wars Prequel Trilogy
11. Man of Steel Trilogy (Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, Zack Snyder's Justice League)
12. Bourne
13. Captain America
14. Iron Man
15. The Hobbit
16. The Chronicles of Narnia
17. Wolverine
Man of steel trilogy is not real and the fact you have it at 11 is embarrassing especially since you don’t even have the planet of the apes trilogy on it wtf
@@Wild-Grape463 The first Captain America isn’t even good. It’s like a 4.5 or 5/10. Attack of the Clones is the worst Star Wars prequel and it’s still like a 6.5 or 7/10.
@@dankairgadam8841 the prequels are way worse than the Captain America trilogy the only good prequel is revenge of the sith and it’s like a 5/10 6/10
@@Wild-Grape463 That’s not true. All 3 prequels are good movies and better than at least 80% of the MCU. It’s just that Revenge of the Sith is the only prequel that’s all-time great.
Guatfians trilogy should be s but www
My Top 10 Favorite Movie Trilogies
1. Back To The Future
2. Star Wars Original Trilogy
3. Spider-Man Original Trilogy
4. Blade Trilogy
5. The Dollar Trilogy
6. Austin Powers
7. Corneto
8. Lord Of The Rings
9. The Dark Knight
10. The Godfather
What about the Godfather trilogy? I also would have liked to see the Jurassic Park/World trilogies
You missed Thor
My top 5 would be:
Pirates of the Caribbean
Dark knight
Planet of the Apes (new ones)
LOTR
Back to the future
My Top 5
1: Lord of the Rings
2: Toy story
3: Star wars Prequels
4: Zack Snyder DC trilogy
5: Dark Kinght Trilogy
Return of the Jedi is actually my favorite Star Wars movie and one of my favorite movies of all time!
For me, Indy and BTTF are S tier and I have the same thought on both. Temple of doom and BTTF II are the weak links in the trilogy.
2 bring the weak link? Are you crazy? 2 is goated and so fun to rewatch. It’s 3 that’s the weak link. I find myself skipping 3 when I see them playing back to back to back on tv.
Phantom menace could almost carry the Anakin trilogy to tier S
Top five trilogies are the Tobey Maguire Spiderman movie's,
Back to the Future, Pirates of the Caribbean Dark Knight trilogy and the goat is LOTR
Back to the future deserves s tier
My top 10 list:
1. Lord of the Rings
2. Godfather
3. Original Star Wars
4. Indiana Jones
5. Back to the Future
6. Dollars Trilogy
7. Bourne Identity (1-3)
8. Planet of the Apes (2011-2017)
9. Guardians of the Galaxy
10. Star Wars VII-IX
Honorable Mentions:
Colours Trilogy
Terminator (1-3)
Matrix (1-3)
Aliens (1-3) &
Star Trek (2009-2016)
Didn’t see the scream trilogy and it took them 11 years to make the 4th so I’d count it. It’s a good high B low A for me
The Godfather, Sam Rami Spiderman, Captain America and Planet of the ape's.
For me back to the future is the greatest trilogy OAT, Star Wars next to it
You forgot the Kingsman, Expendables, Austin Powers, and the Star Trek reboot.
Hobbit should be in B or A. I definitely take it over the prequel Star Wars trilogy.
Planet of the apes is such a underrated trilogy, should be higher on this list while TDK should be lower
Where's the before trilogy and the evil dead trilogy
Havent watched this yet, havent read any comments.. i just want to let you know if you dont rate PLANET OF THE APES, LORD OF THE RINGS AND PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN PROPERLY IMMA BE EXTREMELY UPSET thankyewww 💕💕💕
Ight you did LOTR and POTC justice,,, i wish you liked the Apes trilogy as much as it deserves,,, youve made me wanna rewatch it ok byee
My s tier
Captain America
Spider-Man (both)
Back to the Future
Toy Story
winter solider is one of the best mcu movies it is more of a middle between street and like world destruction level treat and there are no superpowers which makes it feel more human and the fight scenes are incredible. that being said TDK 1
The prequel trilogy is truly S tier.
All of the movies are top tier perfect.
You mentioned the politics being boring, its not.
There is only one better trilogy.
Raimi
As a big Star Wars fan prequels go C sequels go F and originals go S
@@htsbrickreviewsyeah I do I’m fact have opinions I don’t think the prequels are great like the originals but I don’t think they’re bad like the the sequels

Pirates is my #1
What are your thoughts on the Matrix trilogy?
Top 5
Star Wars (OG)
The Dark Knight
Planet of the Apes
Back to the Future
Indiana Jones
Never saw TLOR trilogy
HM: Rami Spider-Man
We were so close to gettting Han Solo luke skywalker and Leia and chewie in the Same room
Missed the HTTYD trilogy in your list, it's my favourite of all. GOTG is probably second and unpopular opinion: LOTR is overrated, checked out the last hour of 3, was just bored.
While Star Wars is my favorite franchise, Lord of the Rings is the best trilogy of all time for me.
what about the animated Lion King trilogy, if that even counts
I love Quantumania. It is way too overhated.
Chris: * puts Back to the future in A tier instead of S
Me: Go make like a tree and get out of here
No hate btw
Back to the future
hey you forgot the word trilogie ( jurassic word fallen kingdom and dominion) and the og jurassic park trilogie
The Pirates films on top boggles my mind. I despise those movies. They are to me the perfect example how NOT to make adventure films. They have these ridiculously convoluted multiple storylines, the characters all suck, I can't believe you would put this in the same league as the Indiana Jones films, which are like the antithesis of these films, with simple clear stories and the most iconic and charismatic adventurer of all time, and mostly great side characters.
I forgot if I've seen all 3 OG Star Wars trilogy movies but the 2 I remember watching are boring, especially A New Hope.
I honestly don’t understand how someone could think a new hope is boring
There's no way the Planet of the Apes trilogy is B tier on the same level as the prequels. Get your bias out of this stuff...
Spider man triglous
Did he forget the matrix?
wheres the karate kid and the matrix trilogies?
The First Avenger was dissapointing😢. I found it pretty boring 😴. The only good Captain America movie of the 3 is Civil War.
Dude! Where’s The Avengers Trilogy?? Has to be S tier. Best movie experiences I’ve ever had at a cinema.
What happened to the matrix trilogy???? 😱🤦♂️
No jurassic park?
So you gonna act like the godfather and the hangover part two of the best trilogies ever?
I would probably move the Raimi trilogy down a teir or two. Not that i dont enjoy it. I love all 3 of the films but imo its one of the most inconsistent trilogy of all the ones you listed. That and TDK id say are inconsistent as hell
Raimi trilogy. The first film feels nothing like 2 or 3 almost feels like a made for TV movie. It treats the Goblin like a joke whereas NWH turned him into an actual threat to me that sent chills down my spine. In Raimis film i just could not take him seriously.
TDK trilogy is the same idea. Begins feels nothing like TDK or TDKR. Im also not as fond of TDK as i used to be. I genuinely think its the most overrated film of its time personally. And not that its bad but aside from that opening sequence with the bank, it just seems to be a very one note film thats very forgettable to me now days
i haven't seen back to the future. I'm sorry.
I found X2 X Men United boring and unfortunately that is the only X Men movie I have seen.
If you think Toy Story is better than lotr and creed is as good as the prequels then that is your opinion…
Back and future is better than Toy Story and pirates it should be top 5
Revenge of the sith is the best Star Wars movie.
Where is Robocop trilogy
No karate kid???
Batman begins
I find Spiderman 2 highly overrated but I still enjoy it though.
