Thank you so much! I am a senior on a fixed income and | was able to stop my leaking faucet with spending about $1.50 on new washers.. Excellent video.
I carry an inexpensive assortment box of washers that include brass screws and also a small box of o-rings to cut down on parts runs, my svc rig is like a warehouse. When I go into eateries I try to park my service rig right in front of their doors/windows and have gotten a good amount of new restaurant customers who need emergency service.
Support your local plumbing supply stores instead of the big corporate giants like Home Depot and Lowes. I'll be honest, prices will be maybe 5% more expensive at the smaller stores, but the service you get at a professional plumbing supply shop is unbeatable and goes a very long way when tackling home projects!
You are totally right I prefer to spend a couple of bucks more and getting tutoring about a project at my local shop than going to home depot where many times they don’t even know about what they sell if you are lucky and get help
Dude! Thanks for the video! We owe you a beer! Please describe how to remove the body that remained in the faucet. Ours are in terrible shape and quite hesitant to be released from the faucet.
Appreciate the video as I was looking for a commercial kitchen faucet. Had the same problem. Never saw the original washers so I had no baseline to compare but they were definitely worn. I also laughed at your comment when you said, "If you have any questions - just ask them for help." The typical response is... "This isn't my department, but let me look it up for you and see if we have them in stock." Ha. Also, did anyone else take note of Lowe's doing away with their 'Help Speakers' notifying employees that a "Customer Needs Assistance in the ___________ Section?" Customer service seems to be a thing of the past...
Have the same faucet on my kitchen sink. The hot water was leaking. Replaced washer with a new one. Stopped leaking for a few days. Then started leaking again. Wife just keeps trying to tighten the knob. Could a small flat copper washer be added to the washer. To help stop the leaking. Or would it damage the valve sitting. Thank you.
What if before removing the handle it free spins like the handle literally has no open or shut power it just free spins if you spin it like a disco ball. We tightened the center screw to turn off the water. Any idea what could be wrong with it? I could really use your help.
Thank you so much! Which section of Lowes was that that you found All those washers? I went the other day in the toilet section and they had some but nothing like that.
Im tring to fix the same problem. Except the screw that holds the washer is striped and wont tighten! Is there a way to fix that also the handle is hard to turn
Thank you so much for
Posting this!!! I fixed the sink at my bakery!!! FYI for anyone with a commercial sink the flat washers is the 1/2” o.d. Size
Thanks 😊

I bought this Chicago Faucet from a supply store, and for $350 I do NOT expect it to have the leak that I am going to repair tomorrow

Nice redirect on the red vs blue thread lock! That would be a bummer next time you have to replace that washer.

Nice video. P.s. The problem is that many times at the big box stores, they do not know anything. they are just organizers.
Right. Sometimes you find the guy who really knows his stuff. The Lowe's near me has some great people. But I know what you are talking about.
+AdamDIY Yep.

Thank you for this video!
Hi I replaced the faucet but I still have a drip coming from the junction behind the hot water valve?
Thanks for the tutorial! I love your videos.
How do you replace the whole unit?? How do you take out the part(the liner) that is INSIDE where the tap sits?
What if it’s stripped and it just keeps on turning ? Should I replace the whole handle ?
Thanks for posting

We tightened the center screw to turn off the water.

I could really use your help.
Little late to this but sounds like your handle has lost its teeth. Gonna need a whole new faucet
Great video
Very helpful I am now a fan thanks I work in a casino
What kind of screw is in the valve holding the washer in place?
Thank you so much! Which section of Lowes was that that you found All those washers? I went the other day in the toilet section and they had some but nothing like that.
I replaced Krowne compression valves with new 1/4 turn ceramic cartridge valves and change seats but faucet leaks from spout. Why I am very puzzled.

Just turn the washer around. Saves time and money.
How much do you charge for that type of job
Respect.
Or you ask the guy of that section of what you need and he said "I have no idea I'm going on break".
Using the Chanel #5 backwards. Tsk tsk tsk... Them handyman be going wild.
Well that's never coming apart again without heat
I can't screw the damn thing back on the faucet now😱
What if the other valve is leaking 😅
You should compare the two valves see which one is causing the problem and which one isn’t
I couldn't get past the removal of the big nut at the bottom
never put thread locker on that.....
Why don't you use an adjustable wrench on the CHROME nut and learn which way to use a pair of pump pliers?
Theres always a shitty hater like you
flip the washer over, done
Hacking chit up over there aren't ya?
Will be leaking tomorrow doing that lazy $h!+
I did not donate. Ot was automatic. Stop it
