I just thought she deserved another banger 😔 lol. Her main theme is great, but I didn't want to overuse it _toooo_ much. Figured it'd be fitting to have the music drop all pretenses along with her doing the same in the trial, haha.

I always thought Dahlia's theme was so much more pretty and melancholy than her character deserved(makes much more sense why it is the way it is when you think about how the theme is more for Iris than Dahlia) Nice job making a fitting theme for someone who would make satan himself be like "Woah chill out".
Well it more fits the facade she’s trying to use in court. A sweet, innocent girl who’s upset after witnessing the murder and having her boyfriend be arrested - of course she wouldn’t kill anyone!
I personally think it fits her quite well. It works as a great song that tricks us about her personality. It also carries a slight hint of darkness to it. The interlude, while calming, when we learn more about her comes across as a bit off putting, and even kind of creepy.
The use of the Turnabout Sisters motif in this crazy mix of a piece was absolutely CHILLING. Hearing the normally peaceful and uplifting track in such a backdrop of Dahlia's... Everything was extremely dissonant in all the right ways Rom M did some seriously insanely good work here
Came looking for this song right after the retrospective. Blending some of the themes of my favorite musical works together into a new piece? AND it's a BOP? Godtier.
Idea for a scenario using this music: Dahlia, in a last-ditch effort to make her plan succeed, actually destroys the entire courtroom (with everyone thankfully evacuating before anyone dies) and actually begins FIGHTING Pheonix. Not with evidence, with ghostly powers. And Pheonix would have to fight an all-powerful being by himself, with his fists and _only_ his fists. No Magatama, nothing from the Court Record, nothing that could possibly help Pheonix. All seems lost until 2:39 in the song (when Turnabout Sisters begins playing) that suddenly, Nick hears the voices of all the people on his side that he met on his journey: Mia, Larry, Maya, Edgeworth, Grossberg, Gumshoe, Will Powers, Lotta Heart, Lana Skye, Ema Skye, Franziska, Pearl, Maximillion Galactica, Maggy Byrde, Adrian Andrews, Godot, The Judge, and even Winston Payne all begin to tell him he can't give up. Suddenly, a new Magatama appears in Pheonix's hand, one glowing the same royal blue color his suit sports. He puts it where his Lawyer's Badge would be, and with the power of everyone cheering him on, it fills with spirit energy instantaniously. Pheonix then rises up into the air, much to Dahlia's shock, now at equal power to her, ready to fight her on equal terms and to end this long and drawn-out charade once and for all.
I think that this is a terrible idea. The reason the possession works so well in the game is because it is still contained in the trial context. It's pushing the limits of the genre, so it is subversive. Removing that would be jumping the shark because the genre wouldn't exist at all at that point. It's not subverting anything if the original mechanics or context isn't being contrasted against at all. It shouldn't actually be some superhero fight sequence or Undertale battle where everyone is cheering him on. Nobody with any developed sensibility for any media would take the game seriously at that point, it's like a 13 year old's fan-fiction.
@@RecessPretense Yeah...not my best work, I will admit. Re-reading it, I don't think it sounds _terrible,_ just too far outside of what the Ace Attorney series' standard is. Admittedly, I was thinking more of Wright in his MvC3 adaption, not how he actually acts in his own series. My bad!
