    It's more enjoyable when everyone takes time with their projects. I'm glad when people take time with theirs. Love your buttons, and projects. So beautiful. I always feel like I choose the impractical items to knit but they're enjoyable. So I go back and forth, what to make.. haha! All the best, K

    Thank you for speaking from the heart. That’s what I look for in knitting podcasts, not just show and tell. ❤
    Your green sweater & hat are such a lovely shade of green, almost glowing! The pink cardigan is just gorgeous. Want to knit with mohair but it’s so hot where I live.
    And that (not)paper bag!!! Will def check out her shop. I can see her designs and materials are so unique🙂

    I love you have so many green patterns in the episode! I sit in a green sweater, knit a green sweater and in the corner of the sofa is my boyfriends green sweater 😍😂

    I do the proof-wearing thing too, especially with plantbased fibers like cottons that grow. But then I forget and end up going outside with threads and stitch markers on the last stitches lol.

    In reference to prizes for the Shawl KAL . . . Have you ever made shawl pins out of your beautiful olive wood?
    It would feel rather appropriate to the Shawl theme and a wonderful bonus for the winning shawl maker!

    Cones are great to knit from because you don’t have any ends, the best way to use them is to put it on the floor and sit higher than the cone, and the pull up when you need more yarn. 😊

  • @ingeleonora-denouden6222
    @ingeleonora-denouden6222 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Interesting, that very short circular needle! If I can find one (order from a webshop, because the local yarn shop doesn't have them) I'll try it too. Untill now I knit rounds shorter than my circular needles with DPNs. It's the way I learned to knit in the round, back in those days (in the 1970s) circular needles weren't available here (in the Netherlands). The traditional way to knit socks was on 4 or 5 DPNs. So that's how I do it still. Never even tried 'magic loop', it doesn't look easy to me.

    Hello Martina, new subscriber here. Bethany, from Well-Loved Knits, recommended your podcast and she was right, it's beautiful and a refuge of calm. I love all your knits, but the TULC cardigan in particular is beautiful! I stay away from knitting cardigans mostly because I dread picking up stitches for the side and neck bands, but knitting them along with the body works for me. And the cable details you added are beautiful!! I'll give this a try for sure ❤️

    • @wegrowild
      @wegrowild  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ines 🌱thank you for being here 🤎 and thank you for your lovely comment. I totally agree, it's so boring to pick up stitches and knit bottom bands afterwards. There are many patterns that integrate them in the process of knitting the cardigan. Check out PetiteKnit's balloon cardigan, that also has a cool construction 🤎

    You are such an inspiration! I want to knit everything you are knitting but you are so fast I cant keep up. The Toadstool socks are incredibly cute and fun. I am working on socks for my husband and they are taking me forever to knit but I am determined to make him something with my handspun yarn. I will add Toadstool to when I have time to make myself a pair. Have a wonderful day!

    If you make the ghost whisperer long sleeve, I think it would be beautiful if you changed colours during the sleeve you're knitting at the moment. Maybe if you used the beige, white, brown and yellow randomly. That could be gorgeous!

    Do you have an orange or peach mohair? I think staying in the warm autumn tones would look good for another sleeve of your ghost whisperer. Also I definitely have not finished my shawl, I think I'm going to rip back to the beginning to fix some mistakes 🤦🏽. You're in good company 💗

    Wow I love your version of the TULC! The cable looks so good! Would you mind sharing how you did that? I‘m still a new knitter and not sure how to modify a pattern but seeing your version motovated me to take on a more complicated project. Lots of love!

    • @wegrowild
      @wegrowild  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So, you can actually add this texture work on any stockinette sts pattern.
      I've done a row of lateral braid/vikkel braid and then another row of stockinette, then 2 rounds of K1, P1, (if you're working flat-on the cardigan is:
      Row 1:* K1, P1* to the end of the row.
      Row 2: *P1, K1* to the end of the row.
      Then you start working the beginning of a cable:
      Row 3: *hold the stitch from left needle in front of the work on a cable needle, knit the next 2 sts and then place that held stitch on the left needle and knit it.* repeat that to end if row.
      Then repeat Row 1 and Row 2.
      The last part you knit another vikkel braid to "close off" the texture section.
      I hope that is clear enough🤎
      Good luck with your beautiful journey 🤎

    Don't rip your sock back that much, just take out the heel and try again, you are doing a great job! Sock knitting is an art in its self, I love knitting socks, relax, and use the heel that you feel comfortable with! Then follow the pattern! Have fun, don't stress about it! Enjoy your socks!

    Is the jumper inspired by the Cloudberry tee basically a square front and back?
    I have a varigated yarn that l would like to use on something where, if it is self striping, the stripes will be the same over the whole garment.

    • @wegrowild
      @wegrowild  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! I mean, it's worked from the top down and then joined in the round but there aren't any decreases on the body so it actually has a square body.
