So why do Motorcycle Club Members Hate Rub Bikers? It’s easy, they act like something they’re not. How would you feel if someone is trying to copy your image without having to put the work in you had too for that image? The general public might not know the difference between the two, but motorcycle club members will know if you’re real or not.

You gave me a new business idea. Make jeans with fake grease stains and sell them to rubs for $150 pair.
Why not? Fake holes are a thing
Hell yeah
Youre gonna get rich
I think the funniest thing I saw (a little annoying but funny) is when the Mrs and I showed up to a bike night in the pouring rain, and everyone in the establishment was wearing a leather jacket or vest with chaps, but we were the only ones that rolled up on a motorcycle into a parking lot full of cars.
Love it
I'm a mechanic. I love rich people who constantly change exhaust, wheels, tires, seats, saddlebags, grips, bars, mirrors, and on and on....
I like the RUBS they create a whole new market for bike sales can get a 10 year old bike with 5000 miles on it
True, only way I get my hands on anything but a harley.
I only buy used. screw that new price....lol
@@jcfreebs72the new 2024 models actually aren’t super high priced I make $19 an hour on the job I work and I can finance a new 2024 street or road glide with no issues
The first Harley I bought 10 years ago was '97 Badboy Springer with 8000 miles on it. Almost showroom condition $5500.
Damn right I finally got a 97 Softail is my newest bike but I love my 74 shovel and 79 shovel the best tho, and I can't believe I finally own a belt drive bike, you are absolutely right I believe next year imma get in the 2000s lol
The RUB phenomena began in the 1980s, and you can barely pick up an old issue of Easyriders™️ magazine without seeing an article about them.
Harley shops going "boutique" is what started the whole damned thing.
Can't buy a shovelhead/ pan part but what a nice selection of cufflinks...
Absofuckinlutely right about that
My HOG Chapter was full of RUB’s, I lasted 2 months and quit. Can’t hang with folks that worship money
Yes there's nothing like Rich bikers telling poor bikers how to live
RUB stands for Rich Urban Biker. RUB is a derogatory term most often used by “real bikers” to describe people who are “rich” (which means they have more money than the “real biker” does), buy a bike, and ride it only on weekends.
I always called them, Weekend Wannabes. We have them around here too. I just wanna ride my motorcy...cle.
AKA the weekend warrior, or the type of guy who needs his wife permission when he can ride.
@@michaelhansen2818or his and her bikes and got their cycle endorsement in the same class together
Blue collar construction worker here. No patches, just ride my Harley every chance i get. Interesting video friend👍
🇨🇦✌️😎
Rock on!
I remember when we called those pants 'Slicks'. Damn, I'm old!
wait.....I am supposed to be washing my jeans every week?
I just enjoy riding. Been on a motorcycle since I was 8. Had a 1985 Goldwing that I enjoyed for 102,000 miles! Went to an Ultra Limited, used. Last year I made it to retirement and bought my last bike. 2023 HD Trike! Now I'm just wanting to stay on a bike as long as I can. Don't even wear HD HOG patches. Happy to see all bikers! So true, HAVE FUN AND ENJOY THE RIDE!
Sorry Real Bikers .. Harley Davidson has totally Targeted all of their Marketing Strategies towards R.U.S. not real bikers.. HD is all about Enriching their Share Holders as much as Possible .
So, real bikers are just broke ass?
So making money is their business plan
@@timmebruer5205 Yes for example selling T-shorts for $50.00 Selling bikes for $10,000 more than they are worth .
@@timmebruer5205 is this guy saying that real bikers can't afford a Harley
@@strongbrave I think so
1994 is when I joined.my club. Glad I'm with the real deal. I was riding behind a bunch of 6 RUBS A few weeks ago they kept trying to have me pass them. I just stayed behind them for 8 klm

Last time I checked we still live in a relatively free country, at least for now anyway. Anyone who owns a motorcycle can ride as much as they want or as little as they want. Don't make mountains out of mole hills with something that has nothing to do with an MC, much less impose your prejudice on people you don't know, or think you know.
Not all Riders are posers, nor want to be associated as being part of an MC. Why stereotype all Non-MC riders, including those you refer to as RUBS, in such a derogatory light?
If you do come across a poser, puffing themself up as "all bad" trying to emulate somebody they are not that's a different story....just don't assume that all Riders are in this category. We should all know what happens when we Assume.
Just as wrong is the Rider who rides weekends and criticizes or looks down on the MC Rider who rides all year long with dirty, grease stained clothes. And then to perceive such riders must not have a life if that's all they do is ride motorcycles and look for trouble.
Idle hands are the devil’s workshop; idle lips are his mouthpiece. An evil man sows strife; gossip separates the best of friends. Wickedness loves company-and leads others into sin.
How high do you have to be to type a 5000 word comment?
Wouldn't be an industry without the motorcyclists.
I am a old preacher and i just love to ride motorcycle just be your self and just have a blast riding as much as you can
I'm not a tough biker type but i remember that era of not being able to buy an HD.
I got treated like trash by a dealer because i wasn't the yuppie moneybags buyer getting their attention.
Turned me off the brand entirely.
Never been a part of the biker scene, but I definitely was a Rub in the urban street community and ended up finding out the hard way that it is better to be yourself than trying to act like something you're not.
Being told when to ride, where to ride, where to ride in a formation, how fast to ride, what to wear and how to act is being cool? NO THANKS !
I've never felt free on my bikes. When I'm on my bikes or getting into a a scrap with a dude I just feel something close to joy?,, most of time I don't feel a thing. Whether it's a sharp corner on my bike or that moment right before the first pop in a scrap. That's the moment of excitement.. thats the happy place. That's when I feel.
100% correct Hollywood, same over here too dude!!

Real recognizes real, period!
Plenty of MC patch holders who are pretty “flashy”. I’ve seen them while prospecting. I laugh everytime I see one
lol I remember Vince Neil from Motley Crüe talking about RUBS in the 90’s.
Truer words never said. Love the channel man
Rockon
We love em !
That’s how we get nice lightly used bikes for great prices
BUT they break em in badly ..
Uhh I need to baby it for 1000mi
WTF by that time the motor is fucked
Some MCs are full of RUBS.
In Australia, we have this phenomena known as the "Nike Bikie"
1%ers who are all about the fame, you're just as likely to see them driving a Lamborghini and wearing an Armani suit as you are riding bikes.
But as an old bikie (that's our word for OMCG members) told me one, "joining an outlaw motorcycle club is a poor career move for a smart criminal."
Wise words. Not that I've ever been interested in joining a club, it's just not my jam. I always ride alone, it's my meditation time.
I'm looking for a patch for my cut that says "I rode Mine to Trailer Week".
Do clubs hate them,m. Or just the low life club members who can't afford shit hate them? You know there are club members who can't handle their financial business and talk shit, behind the backs of members who can handle their shit.
I had to Google rub biker never heard the term
I completely agree with what you said about “rub attitude”. It is silly. Tons of Harley gear and Harley logos from socks to the cap and behaving all macho. But, there’s something beyond that I wanna bring to the table. Let’s forget about people who behave Billy Badass and just focus on people’s occupations. I myself never thought that one has to be a blue collar worker to be considered as a real biker. Does it matter if man is a teacher, soldier, baker, nurse or something else? Okay, LE acting MC is stupid but otherwise, all I have to say is that a man who manage to make a good living, takes care of his family and also is out in heat, snow and rain riding his bike is hardcore and has my respect.
ML&R /Heikki, Stockholm Sweden
Was a 1% for many years, and we rode brand new bikes… I still have plenty of money even after a dime in the FEDs, I look at the RUBs as fans, because that’s really what they are.
It's similar to stolen valour, especially with patches.
One thing I have learned in my 55 1/2 years if you want to live the outlaw son. You got to live like the law is 5' of your ass.
Early bikers mostly chose Harley or Indian. Neither company forced them to purchase either one. Nothing has changed. Ride a rice grinder if you want. Don’t care.
It’s so true! Also if you have a 30k bike and are making payments. You ain’t free. You gotta slave all week for the man so they won’t repossess that 30k bike. Only to do for a ride on Sat or Sunday to, or Thursday bike night to show off the “Free Image” Lol some club guys ain’t even free anymore. It’s craziness
I get what you're saying...but it cuts both ways. I saw a sons of silence fully patched member in a bar once acting all "billy bad ass" as you say, and it made ME giggle. I could have easily kicked his young ass nine ways to sunday. I'm not a rub btw, just a middle class guy on a bike. Apparently clubs are pretty desperate for members these days.
Even when I had my pan head and Flathead. I always rode with a nice Levi a white T-shirt and a black vest and black gauntlet gloves
Be you, and you'll be happy, well said man
I also call them credit card bakers.
One reason I won't buy a HD older then a late 90's model. Love my 75 Shovel and my 86 FXR Super Glide
3 or 4 weeks same jeans. Guilty..
Lmao
I agree. Just be you.
I've got club friends and the ones I know are good people. I've never considered myself one to prospect, but I have support for them. And in 1998 I buried my old man from a bike wreck. So my reason for rolling is for the old man, but I have to admit that I do LOVE rolling out. Respect to you and yours. 🤙
It seems like all the real bikers are haters.
You making videos for us lowlifes that don’t pay again😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂thanks
I own an 03 night train so yeah im a badass 😎
Truth is said
I'm a PUB, poor urban biker. I don't really consider myself a typical biker although I ride a RoadKing and put on 6k miles a year and would do more if not for winter. I don't dress head to toe in HD gear and never worn a cut so i don't look like a typical biker. Someone told me I dress like the Fonze. I'm cool with that.
If you own a Harley and have money afterwards you are truly rich
H.D.= hundreds of dollars.
Does anyone like yuppies? 😂
Started with malcom forbes and liz taylor,we were all grubby bastards till then.
Bless you, good sir
Dude looks like your puffing up.
Back off on the taters lol
I believe you
They did the same to the jeep.
That's true. And also the jeep itself today is nothing like a real jeep. I have an '89 Harley that I had since new. I just picked up a '91 as a backup bike. Back then bikes were a lot simpler. I hate all stuff made in the last 20 years.
@@syyenergy7 Strongly agree. dating myself but I remember basket case HD builds when the electrics wizard came by to wire the bike it was 8 wires. Now the two bikes 2018, a naked sport Kawasaki Zed 900 and 2023 FXST it was a fight to find non ABS and limited tech gizmos. the wiring harnesses look like they belong in a jet fighter.
Nice stories 👍
Weakend Worriers
The new bikes are China Harley's or "Charlie's " and only assembled in America.. They sound like old school busses without exhaust and made of plastic looking like children's big wheels.. think China does this on purpose to laugh at Americans?
It allows new riders to be a bad ass biker, the same one's who were scared to ride 2 wheel bikes back in the day..
It's a fake world now, glad I lived my life earlier because now they can't even spell respect..
One of the main reasons that I *don't* own/ride a Harley (aside from the co$t, you can find a used Harley cheap if you look) is that I don't really want to be associated with the tier-1 a-holes that I tend to encounter riding Harleys in the wild----not only the most expensive/uber-modified ones, which seem always accompanied by a "snoot" or a "badazz"---but even "the usual", always decked out in the latest matching Harley-branded clothing and accessories. It's almost cult-like. Creepy.
Now that's out of the way, I'm not a hater of Harley *motorcycles*--only the fake-oid culture associated w/ the brand. I still gaze lustfully at nice-looking Harleys, and wouldn't kick one out of bed, but I *would* de-badge it (as I do all my bikes), ride the shit out if it in the rain (the weather we've got 70% of the year), and ruin all that sparkly paint and chrome.
"Just be who you are" is the best advice for *anyone*, biker or not. Pretense is observable, and always suspect.
I remember these yuppie bastards would come into a bar our club had control of and we and the old timers that hung out there used to love watching them come in with their new bikes like 92s and we were driving all these amf Harleys from the seventies if we were lucky,we used to call them Mr and Mrs Harley Davidsons With their crispy Harley jeans and starched bandanas while we were wearing greasy broken down enginner boots and rustler jeans and nasty tshirts with a few holes in them, it's still the same how genius was Harley to catch the beginning of the baby boomer market and now for the last fifteen years we've been able to buy low milage bikes for cheap, I'm still wearing old nasty tshirts jeans and boots and I do own three scoots my newest is a 97 Softail and I am still wrenching on my bikes myself, the only difference is my hair is not down to my ass and I put on about forty pounds and I still smirk when I see that guy at work with those crispy Harley buttondown Harley shirts for over a hundred bucks a shirt and telling me he has to leave at three to go get his oil changed at Harley, OH the memories
Never wore a pair of pants or anything else for weeks on end. Where you hanging out
My vest has my military service patches and my grandfathers ww11 patches and places ive riden to. Not trailered. Ever.
hate the clowns that gotta rev the hell outta their bikes and blasting rap music
Your right.
Good video Hollywood
I hate the clubs because they tried to kill my father. He left because of the chemicals.
I'm talking to you right now Hollywood
Is what it is
Bikers? Freedom?
Bahahahahaha
I drive OTR and ran out of clean shirts in south dakota one trip. Didnt feel like wasting time doing laundry so i bought a 2 year old sturgis shirt off the discount rack at a truck stop in south dakota. Wore it a couple weeks later while roding and was told i should throw the shirt away because apparently wearing a shirt that advertised an event you didn't attend is against " biker protocol " lol
Now everytime i ride with that group of people i make sure to wear that shirt
Why does anyone hate a rub? Because they are fake. Give me the factory worker who scrapped togeather enough to buy a used suzuki boulevard over the guy who's riding the new road king anyway of the week. Bet the dude on the bully will put down more miles in a month than the rub will all year.
Nailed it
Hollywood sometimes your ignorance is overwhelming I'm an independent biker I wear what I want I ride what I want I care what no one thinks of me play stand up for myself I don't need anybody watching my back I'm not a rub I'm not a 1% I love Harley-Davidson motorcycles and that's where it starts and that's where it ends
It happens
Just like said a the state fair in 29q2 I will never serve a pega god or government. You see the Outs sold out to the pegs in 1976. So no I have not any respect for you or your club. End adios.
i hate how ya'll say its one or the other, lots of dudes were in clubs for 20-30 years n left for one reason or the other or theres a younger generation building old shovels n ironheads piece by piece n putting some serious miles on or street dudes who live tax free but dont want cops breathing down there neck over a patch, i got a friend who rode from from philly to wisconsion on a 73 sportster not everyone is a leather chaps wearing poser a lot of nonclub dudes are really about it
RUBS always think they are the scene, I have a bored out, ported, tuned out meanstreak, most kept asking is that a custom Harley, I’m drinking my beer with my ol lady and would just NOPE its a Kawasaki with ninja performance parts but its their muscle bike. Then one guy pipes up while wearing his Harley get up says out loud “ It’s not a Harley just a wannabee Harley”.. I laughed and asked what you riding tough guy, says I ride a road glide 121. I did wow, sweet bike let’s hit the strip and see where you stand with that mouth.
Well Long story short, my 10k machine wooded that $56k bike.
Moral of the story be you and ride what you want and be who you are, don’t be tough guy, don’t be Harley billboard, “ BE YOU” whatever you is! and if the money making flashy Harley guy is who you are then respect those that don’t have one maybe they don’t have the cash or maybe just don’t want one.. In the end treat others how you want to be treated, when did the biker world become so materialistic and shallow????
💯
