Do correct me if I am wrong, but there is no such available public record/s of former Northern Ireland’s politician, Martin McGuinness serving time in Belmarsh prison. There had being an IRA member - Paul “Dingus” Magee, whom did in fact partly served his prison sentence in Belmarsh. Apparently, the faeces incident is relatively described as a “dirty protest.” Sydney Draper, whom had being serving 12-13 years of his 25 years sentence (in 1987) before escaping via an helicopter (alongside two other accomplices), spent 14-15 months on the run, before being recaptured.
