- DIY on how to bake open headlights from a Porsche Cayenne Turbo and step by step blackout of the headlamps and what items to use to seal it back up.
This method applies to all Cayenne, Cayenne S, Turbo, Turbo S models from 2003 to 2010 but is based on a 957 Chassis from 2007-2010.

After this video, i had to reseal the lamps because moisture was getting inside the headlamp, so i had to use the following product to fully seal it.

The staples are simply there to hold the rubber in place while it curates. A lot of people use clamps or you can staple new ones. To reseal them I use morimoto headlight sealant amzn.to/3E8L9KV
A shop wanted $800 to do this !Good luck to me opening mine and doing it tomorrow !
Well just finish the mods on mine today and reseal them! Upgraded the lens to clear lens from retrofitsource.com , also I use RetroRubber Oem grade Butyl to reseal the headlights ! So far they look absolutely amazing , time to go slap them back on!!
What temp did you set the oven to?
Thanks for posting this video. Have you noticed your headlights projecting less light after this? Or just about the same as before? Looking back is there anything you would have done different? Besides the lens restorer, just looking for tips. I'm looking to do this on mine. Thanks. :)
As long as you do not paint the reflectors around the lamps and projectors you have no loss of brightness. The only thing I would had done different it's getter a better seal but I will redo it to retro fit the 4 led mod like the newer porsches. I'll do a video then as well.

How is the silver housing (2:29) attached to the black headlight assembly? Are there any clips or screws? Or do they just slide off?
They simply slide off once the housing is off
Hey dude I have one broken headlight with a ballast on it and want to replace. I can only find another headlight that has no ballast. Will this work in my car? What do I do with the old ballast from the broken headlight?
You should be able to pick up a used one on eBay but you do have to make sure is one that has a Xenon HiD system and not hallogen. Once you get it you should be able to transplant all the internals to the new one

Thanks for the vid. How and where were you able to obtain the front bumper valance (with the dual fog lights)? It makes the car much more aggressive instead of that typical pointy front
poloboy that is part of the Techart Body kit. It can either be purchased at the dealer or many after market online shops

It literally comes OEM from factory as an option 😂
