It looked to me that Junior threaded the needle with that second shot but it was most likely the angle of the camera man. The danger of hitting a cow was pretty high. He’s a very good shooter and most likely didn’t need that second shot. At 19:50 it sure looked to me that he flagged you with his muzzle I sure hope the chamber was empty. I enjoy your hunts sorry to point out the negative.
Thanks for watching Ralph. Yes Junior and I were about 15 feet to the left of the cameraman so we had a much better angle to shoot at the bull on the second shot that it appears from the camera angle. In the moment, I could not tell where the first shot had hit the bull- only that he was hit. Thinking that the bull might be gut shot, I thought it necessary for that second shot. The chamber was empty prior to the shooting but I completely agree with you and always stress to my hunters to never "sweep" or "flag" me with the barrel. A mistake with a gun can never be taken back. Thanks for pointing that out!
Steve Chappell- Elk Camp I didn’t complement the forgotten hero ....your cameraman. He does a great job. You both put out some of the best hunting footage on TH-cam. Great hunt awesome bull, keep up the great work!
