Here's what had been working for me: I set a goal for myself each month to go through each room. Kitchen was January, Bathroom was Feb etc. That has made keeping up with the item removal schedule very approachable. And I write each task out in a checkbox list - each individual cabinet, each drawer was it's own line item, tasks that are a lot of work (like cleaning the inside And the outside of the fridge, and each shelf) had multiple lines. It does make the list look overwhelming, but the satisfaction of checking off a box works for me. Making that mark on the page that an item is done is me making my first move. And it's specific enough I know which tasks are achievable to do in an available amount of time. It's also helpful if my partner asks if I need help, he knows which tasks I have not completed. I've also never been a Maybe pile person, that word also means Yes lol. The second I have a second thought about whether or not I should keep it, I make a point to try incorporating the item in question into my weekly or monthly routine. Like, there's a cake storage item on top of the cabinet that has just been sitting there. If in two months time (my birthday will have come and gone by then) it hasn't been used, it needs to go. We just don't bake cakes. 😅
I use Pinterest to get home organizing ideas. 💯 about digital organizing I recently declutter a lot of files in my cloud which free up my storage. I also scan a lot documents in my iPad. I use an app on my iPad to scan them. It took several days to complete but it worth it. Hello 🐶 🍀.
We just found a spider this past weekend and I was like “leave him! I need him to catch the mosquitoes!” (I’m allergic) Two days later I seen him with snacks in his webs. 😊 spiders are welcome in our house. 🤗 Whatever the spider misses my husband gets with the salt gun 🤦🏻♀️
Fridges are hard, but freezers are much worse. We have 5-drawer freezer in the kitchen and two 3-drawer ones in that other room. It is really hard to keep some sort of order there.
I’ve just moved 5 truck loads of stuff out of my in laws house ( they have gone into care). It’s a big house but 5 trucks 😮. They have never thrown out a thing. It was sad and depressing. There is still a lot of furniture to go but antiques are so hard to sell or dispose of ethically. This has been exhausting and I will never do this to my kids.

I absolutely love me some good extra dark chocolate. My husband gave me some 95% dark chocolate for Christmas. It was delicious

We stayed at a hotel! Most Marriott owned franchises are pet-friendly!
