To restore the crown of Naples to Spain/Aragon, you just need to conquer the few provinces on the tip of the boot.
It's interesting that the direction of expansion in the pre-reset campaign was more African oriented and now Spain is carving out a Balkan empire.
Always concentrate only on the lead ship, never look where the enemy shells are leading, never look back at the rest of the convoy, if the lead ship is not hit no one is getting hit...
That's one of the QOL stuff i want i dreads. A don't merge button in the fleet window. That and a don't sell button in the ship constructor.

I love how this campaign is developing, through it's many twists and turns. From the fever dream of the 1890s to the start of Project Amigos, the many wars with Italy... you gained territories little by little, knowing when to bow out so that the Army could gain some strength. First Sardinia, then Sicily, and then gaining a foothold in the Balkans that you had to defend to the bitter end. All this has lead to the present, hilarious situation!!!
Another feature I would like is dynamic name lists. Democracies should not name their ships after royalty and so on.

The war You were thinking about was the War of the Austrian Succession (creative naming) between 1740-1748 and the core of the conflict was about wether Maria Theresa can suceed his father on the throne as Empress or not.

i wish we could use a rebellion to perhaps make an invasion more easy and the rebellion would join a player empire am not not sure what the point of a rebellion in this game is curently if you take an region with a rebellion is still there

37:10: San Ceres was at the bottom of the ship list before the battle because she had the lowest displacement of her class. The AI works from the bottom of the list up of the ships they have sighted, so always have your focus on that ship so you can save her.

The July Memorandum

Reports have not been confirmed that the Armada Real Española has provided the Crown with the July Memorandum, and plan to sail the fleet to the Baltic Sea, take the Lithuanian port of Klaineda, and end the Volksstaat Österreich as a naval power.
However, fleets are reported to be on the move.

Yes (sort of) if you are allied to all other existing powers it triggers a victory. That can be just you of course 😂
I didn’t expect the devs to bother in all honesty.
Do you know what causes the ai to cancel an alliance? It seemed very random to me.
I was allied with Italy as the us in 1913 having captured enough of the British colonies in the Pacific and Caribbean to cause them to implode and Italy ended the alliance.
This was in vanilla. At the highest I saw there gdp growth was -27. They were loosing something like 4% per month

The Ejército de Tierra and the British Royal Army have driven off the attack on Albania by the Föderative Republik Armee. With their logistics collapsing the FRA took 28 thousand casualties to only 2659 Spanish and British. The forces in Albania has now gone no a counter-offensive against Kosovo.
The Campaign against North Macedonia was even more dramatic, with the FRA losing 17.5 thousand men while the Ejército de Tierra took only 908 casualties.
The landings in Romania are progressing well.
28:56 the naval invasions need 100 000 tonnes in the sea region but the counting of tonnage isn't accurate so some parts of the black sea but also in other regions don't count towards tonnage and power projection if fleets are located in them....

The Royal Army has attacked the Germany colony of Togoland from their bases in Upper Volta.
They have also attacked the French colony of Ivory Coast from their bases in the Gold Coast.
Does the DIP change the AI shipbuilder at all? Is it even possible?
I'm following Stealth's campaign, and he's also coming up against these BBs and BCs with ridiculously thin armor, and I'm curious if it's a vanilla issue or mod issue.
I’ve been trying to work this out, it’s mostly a vanilla issue because in vanilla armour is useless and the ai isn’t punished for not using much of it. There used to be a way to ‘hint’ to the ai how much armour was good but this is sadly depreciated in favour of some hidden system
I’ve made some changes in v2 to help with this, such as lowering the max speed of ships, altering penetration etc.
@@BrotherMunro I guess in a perfect world the exact variables for the AI shipbuilder would be in plain text so modders could have easy access, but I think only Paradox does that nowadays.
@@christianhoel1340 there are some things I can fiddle with (and have) but I can’t say ‘hey do not make battleships with a 9” main belt and nothing else

With the sudden collapse of the Volksstaat Österreich the campaign to liberate Hungary has come to an end. The Magyar people are organizing the Magyar Királyság, and Madrid is tentatively extending diplomatic recognition.
The campaign has cost the Ejército de Tierra over a half a million men, many of them recruits from our new Balkan territories looking for payback against the Austrians. The Austrians lost 737 thousand men in the campaign.

Another Balkan province has welcomed their liberation by the British Royal Army and the Ejército de Tierra. Losses for the Allies were 29 thousand men. The Austrians lost 47 thousand. Their logistics are in tatters and their best troops are facing the Germans and the Russians, killing 185 thousand Russians there, while 14 thousand Austrian conscripts are being killed by the Ukrainian insurgency this month.

The Vaterländische Front’s great dream of abandoning the Balkan populations and replacing them with ethnic Germans has caused one of the great empires of the world, the heirs to the Holy Roman Empire, to disappear from the Earth.
The Volksstaat Österreich has dissolved into disorder and misrule, with nationalities tearing apart at the seams, and great European powers circling like sharks, waiting for any excuse to move in. Certainly Germany, if she can withdraw cleanly from Africa in face of British pressure, sees many territories to recover or take. Italy may have ambitions which they have prematurely derailed by starting a fifth war with Spain, a country which they once twice as rich as.
Hopefully countries will come to understand that nationalism, rather than a respect for all ethnicities in their territories, and equal representation and rights, is a poison that will destroy from within.

@@dwwolf4636 oh I should perhaps clarify my statement - it now makes sense to me why my invasion failed, not that the mechanic itself makes sense. If anything I should be told ‘hey there’s a rebellion here, you can invade but it’ll cause the province to become a minor under your control’ or something
