hpi mt2 nitro first start in over 12 years, will it run

Got this off a buddy, the car is around 15yrs old, it was last ran over 12yrs+ ago and then put back in the box, carburetor had seized, air filter had crumbled and battery pack had corroded, but you all know, you can't kill a nitro.

I've just bought one , it was delivered today , it's been left dead in a shed for ten + years the engine was stuck but I freed it up straight away , i have the whole truggy soaking in wd40 so i can start to strip it down tomorrow after I have a go at starting the engine up for the first time , I hope it starts like yours mate .
I bought it very very cheap so if it needs work and a few parts that's fine , it's a project to keep me from the TV all day .
