    Can someone tell me how the same people (not just AMC hosts) hate the way the wolverine movies depicted deadpool and silver samurai, but defend the mandarin 'twist' from iron man three. Didn't know a thing about either of these three from the comics going in, but the mandarin as a joke felt the most underwhelming especially since every trailer was getting me ready for a ben kingsley battle.

    it took me awhile to understand the two plots in the film. the grandfather wanting the healing powers, the dad wanting the business trying to kill his daughter to get it. but it was still a great story driven story.

    Two things that were overlooked. One; The symbolism of Wolverine having to tear his heart out to heal. Two; The long term purpose of the bone claws. In the X-men movies it was shown that Wolverine could easily take out Sentinels by himself. Now he has been brought down a notch so that the Sentinels will seam like more of a believable threat for DoFP.

    On 24:52 its because she heals him by blowing back on his face that is the reason why he was healed. You might of missed that part.

    on the scene with viper's venom attack, I saw her apparently make a second "spit" motion that made the boils go away. they didn't just disappear.

    That's the point I was going to make. The bubbling face was definitely not "just gone in the next edit," or was some horrible mistake in the editing. Viper absolutely spit on him again to heal him. She scared him into getting his job done right and then took the wound away so he could; so whatever Viper's powers are in the comics, she definitely could secrete a healing solution in this film. And I think you may be getting hung up on was she needed, when there's NO reason she shouldn't be there.

    Wolverines Regenerative powers healed his bone claws back. He has always had bone claws.. Thats why he got Adimantium claws, because the Adamantium that covers his skeleton, covered his bone claws too. After his Metal claws were cut off, he grew back his bone claws.

    You guys forgot to mention how the PG 13 rating was taken to the limit especially with that entire scene of when Wolverine takes that thing that viper put inside of him out by grabbing it with his hand and ripping through his skin. Also I think that the most epic thing they could have done when wolverine was shot by all those arrows near the end was to grab the wires from the arrows and pull all the ninjas towards him. It would have been a bit over the top but still pretty awesome.

  • @MegaMinmusik

    As you guys said in the video, Viper did not need to have mutant powers, and yuriko (or whatever the other mutants name was) was really bad done, power wise. She was able to predict like 1 thing in the whole movie, and with all the other times her powers should have worked, they just ignored it and didn't mention how much she sucks at using her powers. I only recall her using her powers proper once in the beginning, and can't remember what it was, but I remember it for using the move on the plot

    Love the show. With the healing powers (~25:00), my understanding from the movie is that Viper had control of varying compound, in addition to resistances to toxins. So she blew acid or whatever onto 'Head Ninjas' face to threaten him, but if you notice she blew a second time onto is face, and after this he was healed. This makes me think that she blew a healing compound onto his face. So the healing came from her rather than an actual healing power. Let me know what you think!

    If someone can cut adamantium, someone as well could well adamantium back, however the main problem to me is the fact that they appeared because he is not supposed to have any real bones since they were replaced by adamantium completely

    My theory on Jean Grey is that she's gone for good. I feel that in a way she was stuck on Earth as a Ghost haunting Logan. So when Logan says he no longer needs her she sets her self free and joins the spirit world. So in a way they both freed eachother and can now be over on.

    Just to let John know, the bubble face scene wasn't a mistake. Viper blew the poison on him, messed him all up... then she blew an antidote on him and the poison bubbles went away. Maybe he'll see it when he sees it again.

  • @HeyBruceAlmighty
    @HeyBruceAlmighty 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    The scene where Viper spits on the one guy and his face was bubbling then it wasn't in the next scene was because she had spat on him again just before the scene change, denoting that she neutralized the acid with the second spit.

  • @Chutsey
    @Chutsey 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    24:50 - I believe it wasn't a mistake. She scars him then the spit was to heal him (after all she is a doctor), although the method is painful to do so. As they are at that point still allies.

    He just doesn't have the coating on his claws because he can grow back bone but he can't grow back metal. The rest of his skeleton is still covered in adamantium. Sorry if this doesn't help and its just more confusing.

    Do they ever make the connection that Viper is Madame Hydra in the movie? or do they assume that this is another Viper character? I haven't seen the movie so i was just wondering because i had heard rumors that this was supposed to be Madame Hydra character or a younger version of her that would obviously crosses into the Capt. a question i have is in Days of Future Past will wolverine have his bone claws like at the end of this movie, or will the some how figure out a way to give him his adamantium claws back? what are your thoughts?

  • @curtjames
    @curtjames 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's a comic book. The Silver Samurai armor certainly has enough adamantium to refurbish Logan's claws. In fact, didn't Yashida leech off a large quantity of adamantium by drilling into Logan's broken claws? They put it all back eventually. A one-year-since-we-visited-the-Mars-room gift from Mariko? ;-)

  • @zjovanovic10
    @zjovanovic10 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    I must say I agree with the crew's view on the Logan-Mariko relationship, it was not handled as good as it should have been, and yes, I did read the comic on which this movie was based. In MY opinion, I think that the problem here was not the script but the actress, Tao Okamoto. Why do I think this? Well, because Jackman had GREAT chemistry with ALL of his female co-stars in every movie he ever made: X-Men movies, Swordfish, Van Helsing, Prestige, The Scoop, Kate & Leopold, Wolverine Origins, Prisoners. Maybe it is just me, but Okamoto's performance was a bit or more emotionless, like she was uncomfortable or something, I don't know whether she is a quality actress or not, because I haven't seen her anywhere else expect here. And, being a guy who has seen about 3000 movies, maybe even more, made in the last 50 years or more, I think that this analysis is, at least, partly accurate. But, like I said, it is just my opinion.

    To me it makes sense that adamantium can cut adamantium and an adamantium bullet can penetrate Wolverine's adamantium skull in the origins movie. Just like diamond can scratch diamond. All diamonds don't have the same hardness, likewise all adamantium isn't equal either.

    I liked the film. I even like the Silver Samurai suit which I felt the film was building up to. I realise why they did it but I didn't like Wolverine losing his metal claws. The middle of the film felt a bit slow but a great character piece for Wolverine. It was odd however the reason why Wolvie left Mariko, I expected her to die. Bring on Days of Future Past! (with Jean and Scott please!)

    You guys must have blinked during the alley scene when Venom spit into the guy's face and his skin started bubbling. She spit into his face again after making her point and I guess she can spit a healing agent also. After the 2nd spit, they showed his face healing. And the green outfit is Venom's trademark. No more unbelievable than Black Widow's slinky spy outfit.

    This movie was better than X-men Origins, it had slow parts, the fighting scenes were good and shocking with the last one. I was so glad to see Famke Janssen again, because I just didn't like her role in X-men The Last Stand or that movie (which I think needs a remake to be more of the Phoenix saga) and I must say the extra ending scene really made this movie for me. Seeing Professor X again made me so happy and hyped for DoFP.

    The outfit viper wore is her original out fit that you see her in the comics that is why you see her in it in the movie. Just to set it straight Viper is not a mutant she is more known in her clashes with shield and Captain America. The main reason she was in this movie was because she was in the comic that the movie is based off of. So she is a critical character. The bad thing is we wont see here any Captain America movies or Shield related movies as far as I can tell.

    The Wolverine was awesome, 8/10 is a reasonable score. I think the movie was on par with Man of Steel easily, and possibly better though that may be my bias for x-men coming through. I agree completely that the viper lady did not even need to be included in the film, it felt forced, but aside from her I did not mind the ending of the film with the silver samurai even though it didn't match the comics. Some of these comments are not fair at all, others are valid. I did feel cheated out of a big Wolverine Vs Ninja Clan Battle! I however clearly saw Viper heal the Bow Guy (Cant remeber his name) right after she poisoned him. She has that ability ;she herself carries antibodies that would nullify any poison. Also she did heal from the arrow hit, but did you not notice how much effort she had to put into that? The film is not perfect, but it is way better than you guys are giving it credit for.

    I was disappointed that Harada was not the Silver Samurai. I thought they missed the opportunity to real use the Black Clan ( in the comics it The Hand ) Wolverine comics are full of Ninja fights. The love interest with Mariko could have worked better if Wolverine was being trained as a Samurai by Yoshida. Wolverine having deep Samurai training is abig part of his character in the comics.

Although performance by Rila Fukushima -Yukio and Hiroyuki Sanada -Shingen and the whole first act with bombing of japan sequence was incredible.

    the thing that bothered me was how he gets shot and everything throughout the movie after Vipress like makes him vulnerable....when he brought out his claws..there was never any scars or blood yet when he got shot there were wounds, blood and he felt pain yet when the claws ripped through his skin..he was ok? and when he got mad at the arranged husband he was mad at him getting with the two girls..yet he actually "got" with Mariko..lol these are small things that bothered me
