- At PaleyFest LA on March 21, 2018, the cast and creative team of Young Sheldon talk about the rewards of their journey over the past year, the "family feel" on and off the set, and the Cooper family casting process, including Iain Armitage's (Sheldon Cooper) impressive audition.
Ok everyone saying Ian is very annoying and has a huge ego, please calm down. He is a kid, and newsflash: every kid likes to talk this much! He is also an actor, so he has been taught to be like this in interviews and panels, so please stop hating on this little kid just enjoying life
He's rude and fake. No, not every kid talks this much or this way. Whether or not he was taught to be this way, doesn't change the fact that he is. And pronouncing that doesn't make us haters.

Both Sheldons have similar mannerisms, it is like looking into a time travel mirror of young and old. Ian is a child prodigy no doubt with incredible acting skills.

Love the episode, when Sheldon gives a speech, in which he speaks such kind and lovely words to his strong twin sister.
Sheldon may be a walking, talking, social calamity off script. But he can definitely deliver some of the most lovely, heartfelt and emotional speeches when in regards of the people who mean the most to him. As a child and the exact same child, only in the body of a man 30 years later..... ❤

@sharingthebounty2488 have you ever seen his Instagram? He's the biggest geek out there. Very friendly young man with a passion for travel. He's volunteered around the world in countless situations. He was a CHILD when this was filmed! Ofc he was excited about being in interviews and bouncing out of his seat.

The family casting is unreal! They’re all drop dead gorgeous , from the grandma to the twins
Iain is Young Sheldon, an expressive young man, who is perfect for the part and people who cannot see that, have not watched how grown up Sheldon behaves enough to see that. The writers have done it again, both in the way that they cast Iain and the early days of young Sheldon, I believe this is how Young Sheldon would be in every scenario he is placed in. Keep watching you sceptics, here is another show that will run and run, I find it as hilarious as Big Bang Theory which I watch every day, and I am an Englishman!!! So there!!!

I can finnaly comment on 'George Sr.' as the perfect father for a show such as this. TV dads take notice, he nails it.
Carl Jerls as good as the entire cast is, his parents are the highlight in my opinion. George and Mary have so much depth as characters, they are very believable parents.
Iain Armitage is adorable and brilliant. he is very sweet and polite and respectful. He brings me to tears because he is so wise .

IT'S ONE OF THE BEST WRITTEN TELEVISION SHOWS IN HISTORY , AND ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANTLY ACTED ! WHOEVER WAS IN CHARGE OF CASTING THIS AND THE MOTHER SHOW HAVE A GENIUS FOR IT !

I doubt he will become a junkie . . but he is a tad self centered. Others make up that show too and none of them had the chance to speak. He interrupted a lot and made sure his voice got louder when he talked over someone.

I understand people being annoyed at Iain, but he is a kid who has a lot of maturing to do. I've had my moments of monopolizing conversations to get attention too; I just wasn't being filmed doing it. Besides, the adult star of Magnum P.I. was even worse at taking over their panel (which also included MacGyver and H50) at this year's Paley Fest.

I was not especially fond of The Big Bang Theory at first, but it does grow on you like a fungus mainly after you've binge-watched everything else. So I wasn't sure how it would go. It is going splendidly. What I was most pleased about was that they don't do it in front of an audience and there is no laugh track.This just works in its favor. Also, you need to have this recorded in some way so that you can read Chuck Lorre's sometimes truly peculiar and quite long vanity plates at the end of the show. You can't possibly read them without pausing.

I think a young Howard Show would be really interesting due to his mother's influence on him, his Jewish heritage, the abandonment of his father in his young years, his MIT decision and engineering curiosity...

Kids are supposed to be goofy silly and care free like Ian. The media today tries to portray children as adults, oversexualize them and that's not right. All three child actors are being themselves and are quite humble to say the least
