If you have any cheaper, lighter tent suggestions, I want to know. Leave me something here!

Lanshan 2 pro is very similar and way way cheaper (I've seen many AT thru-hikers using it)...I have 4 Lanshan...So they work fine :)

Going to be saving up for the X-Mid 2 just for the sake of having double wall, It's surprising how hard to it is to find spacious and light double wall trekking pole tent.
    ~Another good video thank you.

Last year I had used a Tarptent Double Rainbow Li and was very happy. I didn't want to use trekking poles either and liked the one long and one little carbon fiber poles. Wanting to further shave ounces, I looked into the Zpacks Solo Plex. Found a "used once" white version on Ebay with the separate carbon pole and titanium stakes included for a song. This, I think will be my go to from now on.

Lucky you! great find, after even more use I can still stand by the Zpack, great for just about anything other than 3 people.

I would definitely recommend the X-Mid 2P which will be available more readily this September/October to where almost anyone should be able to buy it. And Outdoor Vitals just released another tent similar to this. Thanks for the thorough review of the Duplex! Looking at the TA SOBO this January, so your opinion is great to hear!

Great video .Thank you far sharing. I want to tell you that I have an Zpack Plex Solo ,several months now and it has already become my favorite tent of all time.... I live in Ireland and I can say that it resists in strong wind and rain very well. I love it.In fact, all the products from Zpack are of very good quality. The problem is that they are not well known in Europe and it is quite difficult to find their products.

    What about the X-mid pro 2 ?

Kinda hard to get, pretty similar price. I always wanted a zpack tent so that’s where I put my money, but a mate from TA had one and it looked sweet

I just received my x-mid 2p. Super excited to use it. Great price also. The x-mid 2p pro is a comparable tent to the ZPacks and similar price. I wanted enough space for two 25-inch sleeping pads so went with the regular x-mid even though it is a little heavier.

I really wanna try one of those out. One of my friends from TA last summer used one. Looks awesome

    I have the lanshan 2 + a winter liner .
Great tent .I have many options to use . Being double wall . I can use the mosquito net by it's self .or with the rain fly , or use the winter liner .
Or use the rain fly as a tarp .
You can use a line from tree to tree if you don't want to use your trecking poles . For half the price.
You don't have these options with that $700 tent.

True, the double wall tents are quite versatile. I had a tent like that for years, I have found the simplicity of a single wall suits me a bit better, more of a set it and forget it situation.
How long have you had the tent for?

Last year I got a Tarptent StratoSpire Li. Slightly heavier cause it's got an inner, but it's half the weight of my 1 person tent and SO much bigger.

I'm with you, I love my Duplex.
I bought some stick-on tie-out points from Zpacks and put them on the corners of my bath tub floor then ran a bit of shock cord to the loop where the corner is anchored with the stake. It works well. I also added tie outs at the doors so that the sides of the bathtub will anchor to my trekking pole.
Those adhesive tie-outs are about $3 each and a game changer for the Duplex

Seems like a solid idea, I’ll look into those thanks for the heads up
