I really appreciate you showing the real world hard work and hiccups that happen on your projects. Too many you tubers will edit out all their struggles or not show something at all until it's done. They make it seem easier than it is in real life and give unrealistic expectations to the naive. Please keep keeping it real-- it's not boring, it's life. Your new high tunnel is going to be amazing!
That's how you keep trouble off the land. Everybody get a bowl. 😂😂 You are doing so good keep up the great work. Love the pig interaction. You could write a book with you and your pigs 😊
Ahh! 😊 Maintaining a sense of humor, time out, fresh perspective, make lifes adventures in hard work joyful, full of graditude, playful even... Loving it! Learning so much, thank youzzz...
if you really need to get through a rock though, get a solid metal rod longer than the post that fits through the post, grind a 2-3 inch spike point at the end, and put a plate at the other end of rod to pound, so if you run into a rock, thread the spike rod in, pound past the rock, then remove the spike, and continue pounding the post
Putting in the posts may not be going as fast as you hoped but you are doing a great job. you are right getting those ground post in the right place is the most important bit. Im confident things will speed up once they are all in. The idea of using your T post lifter was genius, double thanks to that viewer. 👍🐷
Hi JASON 24 FRIDAY SHOPTALK ☕☕☕🦜🦜🦜🛐🛐🛐very good topic. See you and LORRAINE soon. Love to your parents. Bummer, no treasure rock. FROM SE MICHIGAN cold winter blew in this is afternoon. NEVER Ready for Cold.
Jason you’re so funny. Love that sense of humor. Those facial expressions and jokes. lol I always think that about my legs too. Not seen till spring. But I’m afraid to stop shaving - what if I get in a wreck or have to go to ER? Kind of like the old advice from mom. Always wear clean underwear. You never know….. lol
Jason I love you SO much😆. Buried treasure had me rolling laughing!! You are a joy!!! Keep it up! You just learned some great lessons for the rest of the build that will help speed up the next side! Praying for you and your family! And the animals of course!!! No more predators or get away piggies 😊
Sometimes I’m realistic when I do a project and I allow for a lot of extra time. Sometimes, I’m CRAZY and I expect my project to be completed in the allotted amount of time, give or take 5-10 minutes.
Who can make a TH-cam video about work, fun and wonderful? Jason can! And your respect for commenters was a lesson in how to be a great person. I honestly get quite annoyed with people telling you what to do all the time, though admittedly there’s a difference between helpful advice and completely “stoopid ” remarks.
We wanna talk to the piggies their so stinkin cute...jason good job with the greenhouse take your time and enjoy the build hopefully you will find some buried treasure...(insert picture here with bernice on your shoulder and a eyepatch)...😅
Your piggies 🐷 are Beautiful. We Love your channel ❤️ it's so informative and so much knowledge, learning right on sight. Thank you so Kindly for sharing your Family and Life. 😊 gee when you tripped I yelled , My husband said what's wrong lol. Gee you scared me, lol lol.
I was sitting here thinking why I didn’t suggest the post puller is because I didn’t know if the pipes was steel or aluminum and didn’t want to put a hole in and take a chance of it rusting out
Too bad they don't make those posts with a pointed end so it can bust through those pesky rocks...kind of like a Jack hammer...not even sure if that would work but the thought just popped onto my head. 😘
Well if you run into some immovable thing in the ground, I hope it is buried treasure. If its enough money I suggest hiring someone to put up your greenhouse. LOL
Goodness! I'm getting more attached to streaming your journey with every new upload! Loving your humor & above all humility with grace!! Keep going! Love the 3 amigos podcasts, too!!
Jason my late grandmother said after the depression they put money in coffee cans I dont know when they moved away from the farm if they remembered all the cans with money, they didnt trust the banks anymore . It makes me wonder what could be buried on farns and homesteads.
This is very true I heard that a lot and sometimes they couldn’t find them all after they went to find them. Or Grandma & Grandpa passed away and didn’t pass it on to the next generation where the money was buried. So there is definitely hope of buried treasure!! ❤
Jason, you have such a great sense of humour! It's so good watching your "real-time" progress on your projects. Life has it's stumbling blocks, but progress is happening. Good On You! Gotta say: those piglets sure have lots of personality! 💜💙💚💫
Once the posts are in, the rest of the structure goes up real quick. Just make sure you get the posts in square with each other and the correct distance apart from the other side;)
doing the foundation work for the high tunnel is where kitset becomes custom work - did some work with my brother the other week we were thinking around 12 hours to get the job done - it took 30 hours - the question is do you just want the job done or do you want it done right
The excellent part of your program ,is your problem solving , no one was born with all the nessesary skills required , you guys are doing fine . Thank you .
Absolutely!! We will watch whatever you do! All three of your channels are so uplifting and have good values that are so missing in the world! And we are learning a lot!! Even though I don’t have the land I want one day, I am implementing some of the practices on my own in a neighborhood home!! Keep smiling and putting out your joy and all the content!!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣Jason, you crack me up! You didn't call for a vote, but I voted that it would be a rock haha I'm glad a viewer was able to give you advice that worked!
Jason, Youre becoming the best stand up comic in the homestead TH-cam community. Youre cracking me up!
I am amazed of the patience you have and the ability to have a sense of humor.
Challenges + Experience = SUCCESS
Please don't speed it up. It's entertaining and a reference for those wanting to do the same. Jason you're a legend.
Even when you have difficulties, your sense of humor shines through. I so enjoy your videos and love watching any project you take on.
Yesss! I cant imagine that attitude when facing these challenges!

Thank you, I will! :)
That was a great tip to use the T post puller. That was smooth. Good luck with the other side, hopefully no more rocks. Y'all have a Blessed day.
Ahh! 😊 Maintaining a sense of humor, time out, fresh perspective, make lifes adventures in hard work joyful, full of graditude, playful even... Loving it! Learning so much, thank youzzz...
Those pigs are stinking cute!! Good progress on the high tunnel build!
Thanks!
You a joy to watch and a beautiful family. Great podcasts with fellow friends we also watch ritually‼️👍
Wow, I'm hoping to get my tunnel this year and I'm already feeling sorry for my husband! God bless y'all and keep growing
I was really hoping for buried treasure!!😂
💝 Water and muscle! Great combination. 💗 Love your little piggies. Always so cute! Take care! ❇❇❇

Linda from Ct
Okay so your facial reaction to Al’s distractions this am was hilarious. Did Ben even know?
The worst vice is advice. Y'all are great!
I love real time. And your humor. Thanks!
I still don’t trust no pig. Winter is finally here somewhat can’t wait to watch the high tunnel assembly you and the family stay blessed.
Jason, just tell em, I like the way I'm doing it way better than the way you're NOT doing it !! LOL

I can’t believe it is warmer in Kentucky then NC
The high tunnel will be beautiful 👍🏻
Sometimes I’m realistic when I do a project and I allow for a lot of extra time. Sometimes, I’m CRAZY and I expect my project to be completed in the allotted amount of time, give or take 5-10 minutes.
Jason , when everything else fails , read the instructions !!
we comment on your channel to help others that read your comments. hope to help you as well as others.

There was a home stead in up north that show how to keep water from freezing with out heaters.
Lots of hard work there...fun commentary.
Ball Bungee zip tied or wired to the gate post is easy to secure the gate and you won't loose your ball bungee.
"How bad do you want a high tunnel?" That's right - and anything else on the homestead/farmstead.
If you have good water pressure then attach a hosepipe to the greenhouse pipe and the water pressure will dig the hole for you
We wanna talk to the piggies their so stinkin cute...jason good job with the greenhouse take your time and enjoy the build hopefully you will find some buried treasure...(insert picture here with bernice on your shoulder and a eyepatch)...😅
Take your time. Its looking great and will last a lifetime
Always entertaining!
Hoping for buried treasure next time!
Pre-drill with a long masonry bit, 1" x 3'. 🤷♂ 😁
Everyone’s always the expert 😂
Ps, the piglets are so cute 🥰
I remember hitting rocks when we put fencing around for our bulls that was a few years
ago
A mini band saw works great for cutting just a little off the flared end
ooh yeah, I needed a reason to buy one of those :)
Good luck bro
Haha You did it. High five
Use breaker bar with t-pole pounder to bust up rock in that hole.
Ever think about getting a guard goose for chickens?

So nice of you
You got this!
I’d think the base would be just as strong with 2ft less pole in the ground.
If u have that many rent a hammer drill with the bit size for the whole. I have rocky soil and that is what I do for posts
the arch piece that is
Can you drive a rock drill (like the old miners used) with the post driver then go in with the post?
use a thin pipe to test the hole
Well if you run into some immovable thing in the ground, I hope it is buried treasure. If its enough money I suggest hiring someone to put up your greenhouse. LOL
That commenter deserves a sow the land t shirt! Woohoo
If you want to increase the growth rate of the pigs, their food ration should increase.
Dial a friend 😂😂😂
would a goose help out with the chickens
Great video❤
Glad you liked it!!
Will Kunekune eat acorns?
That was funny ,lol
👍
Pound in a Rebare stake first..
🎄🎄🎄
My rule of thumb: If you think it will take 2 hours, it will probably take 6.
Looks like you may be dealing with hardpan.
👍🏽
🤞🏻
✨✨✨✨
A pipe wrench to get that pole out of the ground
I hope you find buried treasure ❤
🇨🇦👍😜
You will continue to ha e predator problems until you get a real plug in 15 joule fence charger.
Thing perimeter wire.
I am working on it
Ask Ben Hollar to weld that piece that you broke or make a new one.

I think its a good idea for separate bowls. 1 or 2 bowls don't cut it. Jason, you are very nice.

Don't worry... youre doing a GREAT job! You can figure out any problems - you and viewers!
I love those little piggies. So communicative. Ha. 😂. You did good with those posts and glad a viewer could help. 🎄💕🎄
Thank you! 😊
You might try driving a piece of rebar in first to check for rocks.
Once the posts are in, the rest of the structure goes up real quick. Just make sure you get the posts in square with each other and the correct distance apart from the other side;)
Have you ever thought about getting a livestock guardian dog & some Barn cats 🤔
Very funny Jason . . . hope you find that treasure. Liked the idea of putting the water down the pipe, look forward to the rest of the build. Cheers.

a homestead farm is like a voyage of discovery, you learn something new every day and there is always something to do
