- Over the last 6 years we have built so much together, we have over 1 million instagram followers, two hotels in Bali and online academy and the ability to live and work anywhere. But how did it all start? what challenges were there? How did we meet and decide what we wanted to do?
We sit down and speak about how exactly our journey started together to give you all some insight into our relationship and how dreams can begin to manifest right when we least expect it.

The "real thing" cannot be denied ( if you're awake). Looks like you guys committed to immersing fully, changing and growing to make it happen. It's an amazing gift. Many of us have a story. My love tells me we came into this life, intending to find each other...again. Possibly you two have that deep endless love, too. It will be cool to see you have this discussion when you're both 70. We're there, and amazed at the longevity of a heart and soul connection. Savor every second. Really, you won't believe how you'll blink and 50 years will have passed. Time is SO weird. So wholesome to hear the story of how two soul(mates) found their way back to each other. How each had to grow throught their own experiences, to have that "perfect timing". I literally cried almost all the way throught it.

A beautiful story for a beautiful couple. This story hit me hard me as I can relate. 7 years ago I met an Indonesian girl in Bali, after 10 months in Australia my plan was to visit south east Asia alone, she was supposed to travel Europe 3 months and then go to Australia as she just got an whv at that time. We ended up traveling Asia together for a bit and then Europe. Now we are living in France together for more than 6 years. Maybe we will cross your path one day as we often go back to Bali!

I'm a real MaJa fan, but for some reason just discovered this video now. And I have to say, I fell even more in love with you two! Your love for each other and your approach to life and all the opportunities it has to offer is so inspiring. I'm still learning to take more chances and not always playing it safe, but watching you two really helps in believing that dreams can actually come true. Marie I can't even image what you've gone through before meeting Jake, but look at you guys now! Last year I quit my job. I went to the USA for 3 months. Then 6 weeks in Asia. I visited Thailand, Singapore and Bali. Sadly your boutique hotel wasn't open yet. Then 1 month USA again.
But the most exciting part is that I'm going to Australia in 2 weeks!! For a working holiday..
But all of this wouldn't have been possible if I didn't saved up some money. I worked in a hotel for 8 years as an all-round employee, and I've done a few internships here and there.
And just like Marie said, when I got my salary I immediately transferred like 60% to my savings account. So I didn't have time to spend it on things that weren't essential. That gave me the freedom to not work for over a year now and to make some of the best memories ever, with people that I've never met before.

I think this is one of my first comments on TH-cam ever, but I just had so much the feeling to let you know how wonderful it is to see how you both approach life together. I am from Germany myself and met my French boyfriend two years ago. I can sympathize with you on so many points, how difficult it is to detach yourself from your bubble at home and start something completely exciting and uncertain. My situation was almost the same. 100% love gut instinct the rest was history. 2019 I went on my first winter season to Finland. I was from Scotland and had just finished university. I met a French guy who was working at the resort in Finland too. Long hair , beard, adventurous , no plans but we fell head of heels in love. I was supposed to work on a cruise ship for 6 months after Finland. But 2020 came and covid came. We both had to return to our home countries and were apart because of travel restrictions for 5 months. 5 months.....at the very start of the relationship apart....no idea when we were going to be together next. June 2020 I could travel to France for the first time and we travelled France for 3 weeks together. Since then we have been living together , travelling and working together for 3 years now. Despite a season work romance, 5 months apart, 2 different countries, 2 global lockdowns and 2 visas later ♥
