If you've paid attention to IEM prices over the last 2 or so months, they've slowly, but noticeably crept up. Even with coupons the sale is pretty negligible for a lot of stuff, especially for higher ends. 11.11 isn't really what it used to be.
Dope video, Jay. All good recs for sure. I just went with the BTR17 this year, no discount for 11.11 which is cap, but I wasn't expecting it either lol.
Excellent Jay, I see a lot of IEM reviewers and you are the only one recommending DUSK in the 11.11 sale guide. The people who raved about it at the time of the sale didn't pick it either. You are very fair.
Get the BGVP DMA because its a more musical mest MKii for a fraction of the price, that iem has it all and is incredibly underrated...it really is a hidden gem
First time getting paid for my first job and was browsing for the first "decent" IEM I can buy for myself and saw the Supermix 4s were on sale for around $120. Didn't hesitate to get it even though it was quite above my initial budget LMAO
Listening to music on my Estrella right now; planning to pick up a MEST mk.ii even though it’s not on 11.11 discount, then either something Softears or Thieaudio Monarch or Prestige LTD… haven’t decided yet…
Hey. Thank you for the video. I'm thinking about to acquire my first IEM. Now, I have Bowers & Wilkins P7 (~$500) - 40mm dynamic driver, sounds amazingly but overall clearness is not perfect. From perspective of clear, mid and high range, the best headphones I have ever listened were Audeze LCD-3 (~$1,500) - however planars have some technical problems with deep bass. Any suggestions using the input information above? I'd like to obtain the IEM which can theoretically take the best from the headphones mentioned in prior? Of course if it's possible - and what the approx. budget could be for such an IEM from your point of view? Thanks.
Excellent video! 💪 I'm considering the EW300, Hydro and Relentless... I eq so mostly want a comfortable set with better technicalities than the EW500 og, PR2 and Fudu. My preference is mid bass over sub bass, thick mids and smooth treble... Will the Relentless do? I'm hesitant to spend $90 on a KZ set. 🤦 Any recs? Thanks! 🙏
Thanks for yhe video Jay! Between the aful explorer and the nova which one would you pick? I have the xuan nv and I'm looking for a warm iem with better technicality :)

Hi jay, i am currently very hesitaded in buying my upgrade iem coming from the current iem that i used for so long, the QKZ X HBB (which i eq’d a lot, with less bass), i listen a lot of 80’s, 90’s pop and electrinic music, deephouse, techno, trance… i made my decision that it has to be one of the following….. kefine klean, ew300 hbb, sivga que, what would you recommend?
Great video! I might pick up the Aoshido. Can you please do me a favor? An experiment. Try the Aoshido with the adapter the deuce and the Red comes with. If it sounds good then may you graph it. If it doesn't then it isn't necessary.
@Jay Would you recommend your Estrella for mixing and mastering work? Im looking to purchase a set of iems for when Im on the go. I want a balanced sound with a touch additional lows, highs and must have good dynamics. Also cannot hide or mask any frequencies. Thanks.
@jays audio. Hopefully you see this and reply before the sale is up. I have the Chopin set and looking for something different and more exciting. What yould tou suggest? Where do i go from the Chopins?
@jayyaudio i watched the older video you did on which price range is the "go to" range. Did it change recently with all these releases? Seems like around 200-400$ is the spot. Like I got supermix and the female vocals just sounds nasally and unnatural compared to dusk default-dsp
I'm wondering what the profit margins on the tripowin kailua are looking like 🤔 originally 80 bucks and hbb claimed that the titanium coated drivers in it are usually in a higher price bracket alltogether. And now it is 30 bucks. Plus it is metal shells, so curious...
Would you say the Pilgrim or Dusk (non DSP, default EQ) are better for all rounder more versatile IEMs? In particular for J-Pop, Rock, and Alternative. They would be the same price right now with coupons and discounts. I'm currently maining the standard EA500 and love them, don't mind the treble and prefer them to the Kato.
Would the EM10 or Tea Pro be a better buy? With sales the Tea Pro would be $50 dollars less than the EM10 ($267, & $317). I love the EA500s, and want lots Detail and technicalities for J-pop, rock, and gaming. (I've tried the Kiwi Ears Orchestra (non lite), love the details, they're just too wide and not enough bass.
Since you've had a chance to fit test both the Xenns Tea Pro and the Tangzu Bajie, could you tell me how much bigger the Bajie is in size? I might be willing to stretch my budget to get the Bajie, but if it is absolutely enormous, then maybe it isn't worth it?
@jayyaudio I know this may be asking too much, so if you don't feel like doing it no worries, but would you possibly be willing to measure the vertical length of the Bajie in centimeters or millimeters? I feel like it would fit, but still am unsure...

The Arete is cheaper but gaming performance will be about the same. If all you care about is competitive gaming and would rather spend less, get the Arete. It is also less weight in the ear and a little bit easier to fit into smaller ears. If you ever listen to music, the tell me what kinds of music you like most.

I'm looking for an iem, that would excel the Zero:RED in bass, treble and soundstage with separation, with mids close or as in Red.
