    When I heard you talk about, I’m gonna do this one and this one and that one, in the past, I used to think, Hah! He’s gonna do all of those kits? Since then I’ve watched and had to eat my Hah! Lol. The layout looks great and you have accomplished so much in a little over a year. Great progress and I’m enjoying your build.

      It's funny you mention that because I even noticed that I was listing too many structures off during the video, and I realized it again when I was making my work plan for the next two weeks. However, I am actually going to try to at least get something done for each site in the next two weeks...and lay some track...and produce some more videos besides... Oh, and I'm going to spend much of the day Thursday trying to track down the Big Boy somewhere between Topeka and Salina, Kansas! LOL You'd think I was already retired with all this free time I THINK I have...LOL. I guess stay tuned for my next update to see what I manage to ACTUALLY get done! Thanks for watching Derek, you've been one of my most frequent and reliable commenters and voters, and you always have something nice to say, even if I may not deserve some of the high praise. 🙂 Have a good day!

    Nice layout and is your layout prototype or prototype freelance and going to someone design my SCL Track plan

    • @KandWRailroader
      @KandWRailroader วันที่ผ่านมา

      My layout is proto-freelance. It's based on real locations that all were interconnected by rail at one point, but were never owned by the same railroad. The map at the top of my Home page traces the route from one end to the other. It's more based on a route that I used to travel with my family a lot as a kid, on our trips to Colorado. Good luck with your build!

    Love the layout but I have a question concerning bench widths both upper and lower.

    • @KandWRailroader
      @KandWRailroader วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@cadmaster44 My benchwork ranges from 24" wide to 12" wide. The Wichita Yard is 48" wide, tapering down to about 19" wide at the end. Does that help? If you're curious about a specific location on the layout, let me know.

      @KandWRailroader วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@cadmaster44 One other tip...my upper level widths are all about 4" less than my lower levels. This allows for more ambient light to reach the lower level, easier viewing while standing, and less head-knocking into the upper level while seated, but that will also depend on the heeights between your levels.

    Where did you get those oil tank burns??

    • @KandWRailroader
      @KandWRailroader วันที่ผ่านมา

      The tank berms come with the tank kits. There are enough pieces included to make a full square around one tank, but there are extra pieces that allow you make junctions with other tank berms.
