@@mikedanielespeja6128 After my 1 year comment, I just realized that the word Filibuster can work as a reference to the novel of Jose Rizal... and as a shortened word for Filipino Buster. It really sounds dope.
Now I really wish to have a RPG that revolves around the life of a Filipino youth named Istak that fights _Tikbalangs_ and _Kapre's_ while tending his family farm in the far-flung provinces in the Philippines. and also... *OMG* I can't believe that my favorite orchestrator is one of my fellow countrymen!
Lmao I just thought of a world background lore for your RPG "Once upon a time, in the far southeast lies an archipelago full of majestic and mysterious beasts. Rumors say it was formed by natural disasters: molded by strong earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, and terraformed by countless storms. Other rumors say such disasters were made by the God of Misfotune. Before the islands were teeming with life, they were nothing but blank mountains and volcanoes. One day, a volcano erupted during a thunderstorm which instantly solidified the the magma it spewed. Then, lightning struck through what was solidified and the first life form emerged. Though it has no memories, it knew what to do. It named itself Bathala and breath new life into these lands. Bathala made sure these creatures are strong enough to roam the earth despite the disasters upon their homes, and so, Bathala gave them unique features. One of them is the Kapre, a big hairy beast of the forest which is attracted to smoke. It lives within the trees and will prevent fire when it sees one. Another is the Tikbalang. A creature of velocity, loves playing tricks with its prey until it collapses out of confusion. Another is the Bakunawa, an enormous lifeform that resides within the sea. Lots of other majestic and unique creatures were made by Bathala. However, he sought to create the keepers of these islands. And so, he made a furnace out of stone, made a mold out of mud in the shape of man,and put it in the furnace. The first batch of humas were too light, so he made another. The second were too dark, so he made another yet again. Finally, the third ones he made were just right. Lacking the identity of the islands and its keepers, Bathala asked them to name the archipelago. Days of contemplating passed and the humans finally agreed to name their home "The Maharlikan Islands". With that, Bathala knew his work was done. All he has to do now is watch over the Maharlikan Islands from a place unreachable for man. Centuries have passed and the islands have developed by its keepers. These islands were separated into three main islands: Sampaguita, Timawa, and Maktan. Sampaguita is the largest island and is located in the north. Timawa is a large group of islands in the middle of the Maharlikan Islands, and Maktan is located in the southern area." You decide where Istak lives and starts his adventure cuz I ran out of ideas lol
I love how Rush Garcia made "Ang Pipit" sound like that of a light-hearted Disney movie with a sad twist of tragedy near the end... You made me see it like a story through the orchestration... Also Filipino here
This is so wholesome, I love patriotism through the art of music! And what an epic remake of a Filipino classic. I LOVE IT SO MUCH! edit: Out of sheer joy, I instinctively put my hand on my chest as if this were the national anthem! That's how great this is!
"The Sparrow". It's a short song about a Mother Sparrow which was stoned by a man. And the bird spoke. It said "You heartless, cruel man. If I die, there will be a baby bird that will cry." It's quite sad really.
Imagine if this was used as the theme / background music to a Filipino Movie (on par with Hollywood Fantasy CGI or Japan-level animation) or Filipino-themed Videogame. Damn.
The first time I heard about Rush's works is when I listened to his Kimi no Nawa Orchestration and then I get immersed into all of his works... And this one surprised me! A Filipino folk song! And this is so great!!! -From a fellow Pinoy
Huh, I didn't expect one of my favorite orchestral producers to be a Filipino but looks like they are, that's a pleasant surprise Also I completely agree with the description, Filipino food is amazing!

COMING BACK TO THIS SONG EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE AND DAMN, I can't believe how much I repeatedly listen to it but still get goosebumps. I HOPE YOU'RE DOING AMAZING! Your masterpieces gave a great influence in me! Thank you so much 🙇 It's a crime that I am listening to this for free 😭
WHAT. Okay I never knew you were filipino but I'm not gonna make a big deal out of it anymore haha but omg this is amazing and it feels so close to home💕 thank you!!!
After a year, this is, for me, one of the most precious arrangements that Rush has done. Getting the essence of such a simple yet sad song, give it the power to generate all sorts of beautiful emotions while you still feel that there's something sad about it. This is what music was made for. For anyone wondering like me some time ago, the original song is about a bird (the Pipit) who gets hit by a rock thrown by a cruel man, injuring her wing. The bird, who will no longer be able to fly, leaving her child alone forever more, says "Oh cruel man, your heart showed no mercy. If I die, there is one Pipit who will cry". I really recommend listening to the original, it has its own elegance. But Rush really pushed that further, and for that I congratulate him.
Pipit The pipits are a cosmopolitan genus, Anthus, of small passerine birds with medium to long tails. Along with the wagtails and longclaws, the pipits make up the family Motacillidae. So if you like Birbs...

Can you make a sad version of this!!! You're so good 👏👏👏 A version where you can use it in a war scene. Where the dying mother had a last glimpse of her still crawling child in the rubble.
