- A little peek round my studio and some bonus footage right at the end of Fredfred and Stella... ♥️
Apologies that it's so wobbly, I am holding the camera, talking and walking. Hope it doesn't make you dizzy 😁

Thank you for watching, happy stitching!
What a gorgeous place to work, full of cloth magic! Thank you so much for sharing your special place with us, it’s so beautiful and inspiring.
My pleasure ❤
Yes! Thank you for sharing… I’ve needed some inspiration!
You have built a creator’s paradise. Filled with beauty and inspiration. You’ve “done YOU”. 💖💖💖
😁😁😁❤️
Thank you for showing us your workspace, somehow it makes me feel more "normal"😁 My eldest called me a dragon yesterday, when I went through my scraps, which as she said is a step up from hoarder. I say, if it bring me joy, why should I get rid of it. I'll be a dragon, strong, wise and fierce on top of precious mound of cloth😂
yes absolutely! and breathe fire if anyone challenges you 😜♥️
I totally agree with you. I hoard my scraps too! LOL.
Hoarder here 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for so generously sharing your work space with us. As you moved the camera from one piece to another I kept peering closer and closer. ‘Oh, I love that!” And, “Look at that piece!” ‘The colors!” I loved seeing the log cabin in progress; to see the stitched areas in contrast to the “before” areas. Quite alive. Thank you, thank you. xo
Oh and Stella and Fredfred ♥♥
Thank you so much, and yes, I think those two stole the show 😂❤
How lovely of you to share your beautiful space with us! I’ve been enjoying your videos tremendously… can’t thank you enough for sharing your work and your home with us! I absolutely love the way you set up your studio, and now we can picture you sitting there when you’re making your videos. ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for sharing your fur babies. They are hysterical! ❤️🇨🇦🐾
Yes mostly they make me laugh, occasionally not so much 😂❤
‘….and here is my string collection’ - so glad its not just me that has a special place for string!
Yup and we are absolutely the normal people aren't we? 😂❤
Just love nosying round your studio…….? Your creativity and calm response to the unfinished or work in progress encourages me to calmly accept my own collections and numerous half worked items as the norm and not condemn myself for this natural tendency.!! Beautiful object’s thankyou.
Yes! I used to beat myself up about it too but now I just go with the flow ❤
Thanks for sharing your space....a lovely place to stitch and dream and ponder! I have a similar cat/dog experience here...2 cats and a doodle puppy. I am in the process of reorganizing my supplies, moving everything to my dining area because that is where I sit to stitch and I have found myself going back and forth, hither and thither, looking for things. I want it all within reach and easy access! Living alone with animals means I can do exactly what I want. If I want the dining room to be a art studio then that's what it will be!
Brilliant! My husband is away every other week and I do take over the whole house when he's gone 😂 bet your doodle puppy is cute and a handful 😊❤
PS because I also stitch downstairs and outside in summer, I have what I call an 'up and down basket ' to put stuff in that goes upstairs and down... Trouble is, often I am up and the basket is down, or vice versa 😂❤
What a magical space. It feels cozy and nurturing, the colors and textures are stimulating in a quiet way. I could spend hours here. 💜
Hiya 🌞, really admire your organisation in your comfortable and comeforting room! Am in the process of reorganising my sewing room now lve got the fabrics down to manageable ammounts!(??? Lol!),anyway have gotten down to long ago collected brocades that were mainly hand made or the leavings from special event garments ld been involved with as long as 60+ years ago!Just like precious gems with the memories attached.( which is why lm doing a second book with snippets of them in as lm fortunate to have d-in-law +2grandees to use them for😊)My trusty machine+overlocker both gave out over the last couple of weeks but I had bought replacements/ spares before l had to quit work ( hence the massive spring clean! )They are 10 yrs waiting ther turn and lm getting used to them,as lve got to the stage of hand sewing in the main.Funny how so many just quilt etc from kits(& so much waste &extra expense),but am fortunate in the giftings l recieve when they clear out from expired relatives/bits they dont want.Like you l like bits that tell a story& do coverlets/ clothes for outreach charities so they get a good home!Sorry for the rave,be well and content, J.I.M.K Mrs. Brisbane, Australia 🇦🇺 ♥ Julia.
Don't apologise, lovely to read your message and thank you for the good wishes, same to you ❤️
What a warm and cozy room. I can imagine the peaceful time spent in that room, even with the wonky view. With that view, I think I’d even be able to block out the view of that satellite dish.
Thank you, yes I hardly notice the dish any more ❤
What a lovely studio you have, thanks for showing us around! I love your wall hangings: the log cabin (? I don’t know that term yet) and the portrait collages, absolutely wonderful! So weird how you can feel ‘at home’ with someone on youtube but i do😀🍀💖
I know exactly what you mean 😉❤
❤Well…..that was fun! It’s always a treat to see where we all work. Organizing is key! … and you’ve got that mastered🎉 I’m constantly redoing and changing things around. It’s a good way to find things that have been covered or stashed deeper than we like. 😅 Thanks for the tour.
Fascinating seeing your sewing den, it is gorgeous! Rustic, homespun, generic, organized, and clever! Thanks for sharing!
How fabulous your studio is and so neat and tidy, what a space to work in, just glorious
Thanks so much! 😊
your pets are very cute! i wouldn’t mind their appearance at the end of more of your videos 😊
Thank you, I will tell them 😁❤️
Too funny about the satellite dish from “he who must be obeyed”. 😂. Maybe you could paint it all pretty like a big flower! lol. 😂 I only have a small lot and there is a huge dish in the back (we don’t use) but it’s so ugly I keep thinking I might paint it into a huge sunflower 😂
Now there's an idea 🌻🌻🌻❤️😂
Thanks so much for sharing. It felt like visiting a friend. Loved the wrestling 😂
So lovely you felt that, yes the wrestling is something else 😂❤
Oh...so many treasures in your studio! If you don't complete the overlap quilt it would make MANY journal covers! ❤ the wrestlers! 🥰🇨🇦
It would! That would be an option, to cut it up for other things 😁❤️
What a hoot seeing those two fur babies playing with each other. Your special space is lovely and very inviting. I laughed out loud when you said the one who must be obeyed. I have one of those as well. Lol
Yes, and we just let them THINK they're in charge, right? 😉😁❤️
I love your studio! Especially the stone wall with all the books. Such good organization of your various scraps and stacks in baskets. I enjoyed the tour and thank you for the entertaining wrestling match at the end. 🐈 🐩 it’s good to put furry faces with the floor sounds in your videos!
Thank you, I keep threatening to make Stella some little slippers so you don't hear her tick ticking on the floor 😁❤️
That was great fun. You have a lovely space to create in. I like the nails tapping on the floor and seeing your fur babies. Though I'm without fur kids now, I'm very familiar with that sound, lol. Thank you for sharing.
❤what an organised workspace, so many beautiful pieces of your work. Thanks for showing us around.
My pleasure ☺️
I love your room and the view from your window. It was so kind of you to share with the rest of us where you get creative. TFS
Thank you so very much for sharing your space. I think studio tours from artists are so inspirational! Enjoy your indoor and outdoor spaces!!!
Thank you so much for sharing your happy special space with us. Much appreciated ❤❤❤❤
Great and thank you for sharing your work space. Especially enjoyed the dog and cat at the end. :)
You are so lucky, I am so happy you share your beautiful workshop, ideas and treasures, you inspire me,and many others, long may you continue.
Thank you so much! ❤
Your room is so warm and inviting, thank you for sharing. The log cabin quilt hanging above the machine is gorgeous. Why didn't I ever think of quilting in sections instead sitting in front of a giant hoop.🤪
Took a while for it to occur to me 😂❤
What a beautiful creative room , love everything, and your property you are indeed one lucky lady . Thanks for sharing ❤
So nice to see your studio - so cozy! Also a peek at your land through the window - thank you for sharing 😊
Love the log cabin quilt blocks and how you’re hand stitching. The room is full of goodness. Very beautiful place to work or play. Thanks for sharing.
You have one of the neatest and tidiest of studios I have seen in a long time. Love your videos.
What a beautiful space to do what you love to do! Love how you have organized your fabrics in size. I do that with my paper scraps but never though of it with my fabrics. Thank you for sharing your room with us. It is so inspiring!!! ❤❤❤
My pleasure 😊
I’m just moving over to storing my fabrics by colour! We’ll see how that works out 🤔
@@rosywilson3076 I used to do that when I worked by colour groups but now for me, it makes more sense by size. Like I said, it depends how you work. 😁❤️❤️❤️
@@k3n.clothtales today a friend gave me a bag of scraps 😀😀
I spent a happy hour sorting them and storing them in plastic bags until I’ve made a rice bag for each colour!
Ohhhhhhhhhhh … 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 …. 💕
Kathryn, you have created a lovely piece of heaven there and I do appreciate your sharing it with us. No matter what our space, we can always make a special nest, despite the higher-ups throwing in a wrench - the "sculpture" in your window only amplifies that magnificent view.
😂 thank you, from now on I will see it as a sculpture 😉❤️
I LOVE seeing the cat and dog play at the end!
Oh Kathryn - it's Heaven! What a peaceful retreat that reflects your life and your amazing work. I love how you have set it up so that you can easily see what you have made and are still making. I defy anyone to walk in there and not be inspired. Everything is useful and beautiful (my man Morris again!). Thank you for sharing - and for showing us Stella and Fred Fred 😀
Mary x
Thank you Mary ❤❤❤
Such a magical space! I'm so glad I stumbled upon your channel. It's hard to describe, but you have such a talent for talking about art. Your explanations on a technical level are well done of course but you also just... frankly and honestly talk about the process and playing of art in a way I find really refreshing! Your videos make me want to pick something up and start creating immediately
Thank you, that's a lovely thing to say ☺️❤
@emustockings - I couldn't put it better - I completely agree ❤
I feel very privileged to have had a tour of your craft room Kathryn, thank you. I now have a space but it needs reorganised to make it safe for me to work in as it is not yet wheelchair friendly. I have been feeling overwhelmed but now feel inspired. I know I need a sense of order and neatness or I will feel my nerves jangling and get no benefit from the room at all. Love the little friends wrestling..... Barney our springer will of course share my room... William, my brother has nicknamed him Elastoplast... I'm sure you can guess why! Vera
Oh my old cat (before Fredfred) was called Barney. 😊 I hope you get your room sorted and accessible soon Vera, so it can be a relaxing and creative space for you. ❤❤❤
So excited to see your lovely work space/ slice of heaven. Thank you for sharing……..you’ve been inspiring me to stitch again. Your generous spirit, along with your teaching skills, soothing voice, and beautiful projects, soothe my soul. Bless you K3n.
Thank you ❤
Your studio is lovely! Thanks for sharing it with us.
Kathryn that was so neat and inspiring to see your studio space. thank you so much for making this tour video for us. i loved seeing all of you journals and your other projects. such lovely, rich, beautiful work. i was peering intently at my screen trying not to miss anything. thank you so much! linda from california
Glad you enjoyed it!
SO very inspirational! ...and TIDY!! Thank you for sharing it with us!
What a charming studio, very organised, it’s lovely to see where you make your videos. Like you I love grunge colours, especially liked your log cabin piece, so yummy. Our family has always used the word orts, brilliant to hear someone else using it 🤣 thanks once again for all your tips been sewing for years but have learnt such a lot from your teaching 😊
What a wonderful tour of your creative space.I love to see how others work and store their materials, so this was fascinating.Love the patchwork door curtain, your shelf, the breakfast bar idea. All your beautiful work displayed and your storage system. Thanks for sharing ❤️
You are so welcome! ❤
I just discovered your channel yesterday. How delightful! And then to wake up at 5:30 am on the East coast USA to find a tour of your den of creativity! Thank you! Edit: in my workspace I have a 45 year old Quality Street tin from my school days in England!
Welcome 😊 not sure how old my tin is and can't even remember where it came from. It was possibly my Granny's. ❤
I watched you’re tour and loved it- thanks and l love the kitties, too💕😂🥰
Thank you for sharing your beautiful studio space. I love an organized space to work in. You have a calm and peaceful place to be inspired and creative! Just lovely.
It always intrigues me to see how people learn then move past "standard" creations as they find, their own styles and techniques. Your studio is a living museum.
Thank you ❤
I love seeing you little furry kiddos at play 🫶
Thank you SO much for sharing. You are so delightful to see and hear. Your space is just as delightful as you are.
That was so fun! Love your creative space 🏡 and the entertainment at the end! xx😊
Yes the wrestling never gets old 😂❤
Kathryn that was absolutely delightful. I smiled all the way through. I know this may seem strange but I also loved seeing you at the beginning of the video, even if it was only for 5 secs. We always see your picture, but it was lovely to see you for real. It would be nice if you did that more often. I loved seeing how you store your materials. I was one of those who asked. And I am starting to sort mine in a similar way. I don’t have a room as big as yours, but I don’t have as much material either haha. I hope all our comments don’t become so time consuming for you that you don’t have time to do more videos. We really do hang off every one of them.
Thank you Joyce, I love reading your comments but I will prioritise the videos if it comes down to it. 😂 Maybe I will do more little pieces to camera, I am not a shy person by any means but it is somehow different to just my voice and hands on the internet. I think I just have to get used to it 😊❤
I guess it is hard to register that you have developed a ‘cult’ following. You started out thinking it would be nice to show some people what it is that you do and how to do it, and suddenly thousands of people respond to your offering. Goes to show what the world needs now and what you are doing is adding to the healing of many people.
Thank you Joyce, that's a lovely thing to say. ❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely so appreciate the intimate tour of the space where you make your magic to share with us. We are so lucky.
Thank you, we all are 😉😁❤️
Thank you for the lovely tour of your studio!
It’s very nice to see the cozy place where you work and play.
I loved seeing your kitty and doggie playing too.☺️
A beautiful room, so full of gorgeousness, inspiration and memories. I hope you'll show us your unfinished log cabin when it's completed, it looks facinating. I love the muted colours. A very enjoyable tour, thank you. 💕
Thank you, I will do 😊
Thank-you for sharing that. Lovely Stuff.
What an absolutely lovely space! Thank you for sharing...I love the footage of Fredfred and Stella!😂
What a fabulous workspace. You are very lucky to have such a gorgeous space. Thank you for showing us round , I enjoyed sharing your space 😘 love the grounds too..xx
Very peaceful and Zen to me. Thanks for sharing your space and your treasures. AND your adorable cat and dog!!
My pleasure ☺️
Beautiful studio! Thanks for the tour! That log cabin quilt!! Oh my heavens! It is going to be a masterpiece with all your beautiful stitching on it! I would Love to see how you join the squares! I've never understood this particular process. Thank you ever so much for your constant flow of inspiration! 💜💜💜
My pleasure and thank you. I will try to show the joining, though it will probably be done by machine 😁❤️
Your studio tour was so interesting. Everything you do is so much different from the projects I attempt to make, and that’s what I enjoy - seeing how others work.
Blessed for sure ❤
Thank you, Katheryn, for sharing your studio. It is so calming and inspiring. Please, keep working on your lap blanket on your chair. To undo all that beautiful work is too sad. What fun to see your animals play! Thank you, I love it!
My pleasure, maybe I will, at least I will leave it out where I can see it for now 😉❤️
Thank you so much for sharing your studio space with us. Seeing some of your previous work must help inspire the creation of new work. I’m loving your videos.
Yes thank you, absolutely. especially the stitch journals ❤
What a wonderful space. You've given me renewed energy to finish pulling up carpet and painting my designated space
Great to hear ❤
Oh wow you know Goon Hilly in Cornwall. We holidayed at the landmark trust hamlet near Duck Pool. Such a beautiful place. Thank you for all your wonderful videos.
Yes it's lovely there, well maybe not Goon Hilly but the rest of it 😊
That overlap quilt is already so lovely, I hope you finish it. I love your work. Thank you for your videos.
Thank you 😊
Love the secretary desk also...nice workshop💜🇺🇸
Thank you for sharing your personal space with us. It is such a peaceful space, warm and welcoming. I loved watching the furry babies. Blessings 😊
Thank you they are hilarious. 😂 They will also sleep together often so they do really love each other ❤
Thank you so much for sharing. Your studio is wonderful! And your pets are cute. :)
Thank you very much for showing us your studio. It is beautiful. ❤️🇨🇦
Thank you. 😊
Thank you for sharing your lovely studio with us. I love your log cabin project on the wall. It's a work of art!
What a lovely studio. I am green with envy. Thankyou for allowing us into your space and sharing. I am enjoying your tutorials and looking forward to what you are going to show in the future
You have a lovely studio. I enjoyed tooking at all of your corners. You learn a lot about a person by where they stitch
Oh my, are all my secrets out 😂❤
Thank You..
❤❤❤
What a gorgeous room.Love how the dog and cat play together x
I love this. What a beautiful room with lovely pieces of art. Thank you
Lovely. Thanks for showing us around. 💖✨
What a beautiful studio.
I have an attic but at the moment here near West Yorkshire it is far too cold to sit up there so I keep bringing bits down to work on. I love your log cabin it's very exciting. Your little dog looks like my old Bedlington Terrier Bella she lived for 18 years. I now have a 13 year old lurcher Maisie. Both rescue dogs. 😊❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you, I love Bedlingtons, what a great age, and lurchers are lovely, so loyal and loving. A good friend of mine had one also called Maisie, a little white shaggy one, and she was the gentlest most loving dog ❤
Love your studio! We all have our own ‘filing’ system - you sort by size of fabric while I sort by type. We are all unique! 😊
What a warm and peaceful space! What a treat to see your journals and wall hangings, they are so beautiful. The table of journals and scrolls is just delicious. Thank you for letting is come in for a visit ❤️🩷⭐️
My pleasure Heather ❤
Thank you for sharing:)
Thank you so much for showing your lovely place to work! I fell in love with that amazing chest of drawers! So beautiful!
You have awesome art pieces on the wall. I particularly loved the one you called “cabin logs” or “logs something…”, sorry, I don’t remember the name, but that is such a fabulous work. It’s so texturized and it looks so tactile, I am amazed at that!
I noticed a round tin you have. It’s the one with the couple on the lid. My great grandmother (I met two of my great grandmothers) used to offer me those tins filled with chocolate. Unfortunately I didn’t keep any, for various reasons.
You know I loved to have met Stella! She’s so cute! And I see she has a lot of fun with Fred Fred! They’re both adorable 🥰
💙❤️🩷💚🩵🧡💜🤍💛🤎
hi Alexandra, it's log cabin, I am sure there will be a video at one point. The round tin is Quality Street, many people in England have them at Christmas, or at least, we always did. Sadly these days they are in plastic. I think this old metal tin was my granny's but I am not sure. Fredfred and Stella send their love ❤️❤️❤️
@@k3n.clothtales I look forward for the video 😊 sending love to Fredfred and Stella too 🥰
Thank you for sharing your studio. I love seeing where my fabric people work. Every wall and flat surface is a work of art. I need to do some work in my room.
What an inspiring craft studio Karyn ~ so much to take in at every turn. I'm loving the patchwork curtain and your art quilts, but especially the log cabin wip (which happens to be my fav quilt block, too). Ohh your furbabies are too funny 😃🥰
Thank you, yes they keep me on my toes! 😂❤
What a beautiful, inspiring space to create in! Thank you for sharing! 💕
I enjoyed this glimpse into your studio. Very much like my own except mine is not so tidy. But I be me. Thanks for sharing.
Yes, you be you 😉😁❤️
What a lovely tour. Thank you!!
My pleasure and thank you ❤
Thank you for generously sharing your space with us. I loved seeing your work and how you store your items. 😊
My pleasure thank you for visiting ☺️
Many thanks for sharing. Love the patchwork curtain and personal scrapbook. I love the log cabin patcwork as well. x Blessings x Mariana UK xx
Such a wonderful studio! I love your beautiful, unfinished log cabin quilt of lights & darks particularly, but everything is just gorgeous. It is a lovely room, & yet very practical, with lots of color, comfort, storage & plenty of space for working. Thank you so much for sharing it with us all! 💐
You are so welcome! ❤
Finally got around to watching this one. What a great space and the view of your woods is amazing. How wonderful it must be. I could hear it in your voice. And at the end loved seeing Fred Fred and Stella playing. Very cute. Thank you for the tour and letting us into your world.
My pleasure 😊
Never seen a dog and a cat play like that, love it❤. Great place you have got
Me neither! they can get quite boisterous with it, it's usually the cat who gets too rough and the dog squeaks and runs away 😊
It was lovely having a peek into your workroom and seeing all the beautiful quilts on the wall. I think my favourite one is the log cabin one that you are currently working on. What a lovely, airy space you have. I noticed your clamp thing on the table for the camera. I'll have to have a look for one.
Hi Marion, I was wondering if you would see that. I got it on Amazon France but expect you can get one in the UK. ❤
Your studio is so beautiful and peaceful , thanks for sharing 🪡🧵♥️
