This was the last game I ever watched with my grandfather. He passed away about a month and a half after the Superbowl. I'll never be able to fully express how thankful I am that the Eagles were able to win it all while he was alive. Go Birds.
Wentz might be the man but i'm not gonna lie it felt good to see Foles starting for this team again. Chip Kelly did him dirty, nobody deserves to be forced to play for Jeff Fisher.

Koletti Pireaus I agree the defense definitely has to pick it up & not give up so much but when it's a division game it's playoff atmosphere both teams get pumped up to play each other which makes it a playoff atmosphere and what matters most in the playoffs is the W... Miami just beat the Patriots (Division game) so I'm okay with this W.

A lot of people are complaining that the Eagles almost lost, but the fact that they're able to come back into these games and still the victory is really impressive, considering the fact that they don't have their starting quarterback. I know, it won't be that easy to come back from a double digit deficit in the postseason, but this gives them confidence for it. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go cry now that my Jets have been eliminated from playoff contention today.

I think I understand what you're saying: these two teams know each other so well that they know how well they play and how they play. Then again, how else are the Jets able to compete with New England once in a while?

Well of course I’m really proud of my team. The thing is, we blew many leads throughout the season, and we could have finished those games. If we did, we would be in the playoffs. Nonetheless, it could be the beginning of something big. Let’s hope Josh McCown doesn’t do a Geno Smith or Ryan Fitzpatrick on us and be good one year but horrible the next year.

As a Giants fan, this was a really good game. Eli Manning played his best game all season long. At least we know Mcadoo was the problem. We will get better and have a good year next year. Nothing but respect for the Eagles. Hopefully you guys make it far in the playoffs
The Gentleman Macadoo was a terrible coach for your team tbh, he caused alot of tension between the coaches and the players and his coaching was a bit suspect at times, you’ll find your guy though, coming from a eagles fan

The more time that goes by the more I realize how much of a MIRACLE 2017 was for the Eagles. It wasn’t a fluke. It wasn’t luck. They didn’t just get hot at the right time. They were the best team in the NFL that year by record and by most important metrics. They scored the 3rd most points and allowed the 4th fewest in the league. They had the best point differential. They won a nail biter against the defending NFC champion Falcons. They destroyed the Vikings in the NFC championship game. They beat Brady at his best. They overcame injuries to their potential MVP quarterback, left tackle, middle linebacker, and right corner. They were a great team that season. But only that season. The four seasons before 2017 they won 10, 10, 7, and 7 games. The three seasons after 2017 they won 9, 9, and 4. They were pretty much somewhere between slightly below and slightly above average every year but 2017. In 2017 they were dominant. They lost just 2 of the 18 games that mattered that season. They won 5 games by at least 24 points. Only 2 of their 16 wins came by a field goal or less. The only word to describe that type of a season is a miracle. An honest to god miracle. Like that movie “Angels in the Outfield” or something. Nick Foles literally had one of the best CCG + Super Bowl performances ever. Nelson Agholar caught most of the passes thrown to him. Jaylen Mills and Patrick Robinson played great. Corey Clement looked like Brian Westbrook in the Super Bowl. Jake Elliot made actual important and difficult field goals. Every decision Doug Pederson made worked out. It was as if they all had angels that we couldn’t see massaging their shoulders to transform a bunch of mediocre players and coach into hall of famers. For one season. It was their year. It was a miracle.

Devante Smith its not his fault that he lead the league in turnovers. Its been the team/players around him. Just watch the games dude. Look at the routes the recievers run or don't run. Look at the tipped passes that manning put on the money many times over the years that became picks smh. Just look at the bullshit, it is not Eli manning that is the problem. It never has been. Foles was a starting QB back in 2014, and threw 27 tds to 2 picks the year before. Wentz and Foles are starting caliber QB’s. Yes, the team around them is very good. But that’s the thing with the Eagles, we are a family, we are a TEAM, not just one player. Next Man Up mentality. That’s how you become a great team.

I wasn't worried about Foles. I remembered his strengths and weaknesses well. I didn't think he would be playing like Wentz and he didn't. But he did just as expected. I just didn't expect our defense to take a break.

Anybody who watched the game knows the Giants surprisingly played a good game. yeah, the Eagles defense didn’t show up at all, but the Giants offense definitely played really well for most of the game. A WIN IS A WIN. they found a way to win even with their defensive struggles. the Eagles are a still a complete team even without Wentz.

I'm not trying to make any predictions here... the Eagles won a close game against a rival, and New England lost a close game to their rival, and everyone is hating on Philly, but they weren't hating the Pats. Anyone who roots for Philly or NY understands the tension on gameday. It's not ever an easy game for either side. It's bragging rights against one another for the whole year.

divisional games are always tough, and i give the Giants credit. i don't care if your 2-13 like the Giants or 13-2 like the Eagles, you can't take anyone lightly especially when you play in the same division because they know each other well. still the Giants made some mistakes and Philly made enough plays to win. i will say that Philly is a different team when Nick Foles is playing compared to Carson Wentz and it showed, but i thought Nick did a pretty job of not doing too much and he got the ball to the receivers in the right places. but very interesting game.

People underrate the offense of the Eagles, Wentz was playing like a superstar but at the end of the day he was executing the plays Pederson called. Foles is capable of doing that just as well as anyone. Wentz does more, but sometimes all you need is just enough.
If anything this game showed that Wentz shouldn't be the MVP, because they can still win without him.

Terrell Oliver but they haven't. And they haven't for a while. Last blowout was in 2015 in Philly. All the other games were by 5pts or less. Its a rivalry game, these games are always tough and the Giants know the Eagles well. Eli has always carved up the Eagles at home more than on the road @ Philly in which he struggles a bit. I expect division games to be hard fought. Last week against the cowboys, it was close for about 4 quarters and some change but they had no OBJ to get a big play from. All it took was a big play from Dez & Witten in that game to put the game away. Play calling was a bit vanilla in that first after firing McAdoo.

If we allow the 2-11 Giants, one of the lowest scoring teams in the NFL 29 points (the most points they scored this season) then that raises some concerns to any Eagles fan if we're looking for them to go far into the playoffs and make it to the Super Bowl. Yeah Darby has the pick, but you can't deny there was some serious weak tackling from the Eagles end in this game.

I can't speak for all eagles fans but Saint Nick is starting to impress me a lot. Even though he he's not as mobile as Wentz he made good throws and put together some good drives. 5 reasons I think the eagles will be fine & why they won the way they did.
1) The giants, redskins, and the cowboys know the eagles better than anyone - I say, as long as we don't see any NFC East team in the playoffs, they'll be okay. Again, no other team knows them better. They won't see any NFC east team in the playoffs to worry about them. Even if the cowboys make it in, I still think the eagles would win as they would have home field adv.
2) The eagles only won by 3 points in the first game they played them which tells me, it's all about matchups more so than the record each team has - The giants saw Darby as a weak link yesterday. They kept pounding on his side of the field.
3) The Giants have moved on from Bob M - A different head coach will most likely give you different results. The giants were going to try their hardest because they are the top dog in the NFC. They wanted to "dethrone" the eagles. They couldn't care less about their game against the cowboys last week.
4) Eagles being very good at home should give them momentum if they get home field advantage throughout the playoffs ... yes, even without Carson Wentz as qb.
5) most likely had jet lag
That's how I see it. Practice the pathetic tackling and awful defense play, and they'll be fine. Easier said than done, so they need to get to work.
Its a division game. But these defense has always been like this. Secondary was always a weakness. Eli carved them up earlier this year. Shepard roasted them earlier this year. Shepard's best games were against the Eagles. Same happened without OBJ this time. Imagine if he played? Eagles would've got the doors blown off them.

neetrab last time they got blown out was in 2015 in Philly. Donnell fumbled the ball in the red zone, had many penalties, and the line had a terrible game. It was a sloppy turnover game though.

I am a die-hard Eagles fan and back in 2013 I was a die-hard Nick Foles fan but I feel like the game he had yesterday was more of a efficient quarterback who did just enough to win because two of his touchdowns the ball was given to him damn near in the red zone. At one point he had three touchdowns but only 85 yards that just shows you the gift of field position that he was given over and over again
