    Started with KPL and switched to NRB thick a few months ago. It sounds and feels better to me, gives better tolerances, lasts longer, and is about 5 bucks cheaper than kpl for the same amount. My other friends that flip that all have kpl always use my NRB lube when we get together lol

      Same first oil I got was kpl then I got fbo, but NRB is noticeably better than both imo. And it smells better too! Can’t wait for more of those metal dispensers to come out too

    From some other hobbies, I obtained rubik's cube and yoyo lube. I have tried both on my kraken, and they both work quite well. On my other relatively cheap bali, I used WD40 for a while. I wouldn't recomend it, but if it's all you have, then It might be worth a try. And thanks for the info for bearings.

    Love me some Super Lube. Found it at the checkout/"impulse purchase" section about 3 years ago in the local big box hardware store. Been using it ever since. I like how its thick enough to not run and viscous enough to get and stay in all the tight spots. Thought I was the only one who used this stuff.

      PSA even though you're probably not using WD-40 anymore:
      WD-40 is not a lubricant. It's a solvent. Most modern formulas are bases to be safer on your skin, but some are also strong acids. It's designed to make hinges and pivots work easier, but not by lubricating the connection but by eating all the dirt, dried lubricant, grease, or rust away. It's meant to be left on for an hour and then removed to make room to re-lubricate the component. If you keep re-applying WD-40 it will eventually eat away at the metal components. It's strong enough to corrode most metals if left on for extended periods of time or re-applied. If you keep using WD-40 as a lube, it will literally destroy the stuff it's applied to.

I've used KPL on my BBBarfly Pro V2 and that's worked great, but I've found that KPL does like to gather junk. I haven't tried any other oil yet mostly because I really only flip sparingly. Anything in the video here is probably a more informed recommendation than anything I can give. I just know that bit about WD-40 because I've got a friend with a Chemistry degree.

    So for bearing balisongs, could i use lube for skateboard bearings as long as its a bearing lubricant?? (ie. bones speed cream)

    • @NiejakiZoxico

      Good question. I mostly use the bike lube which makes balisongs sound amazing but I don't know if it's any good. Very popular practice here tho

    I’m debating between the latch less chab or the latched version what do you recommend now after some more time with the latch-less version?

    • @thoughtboxband
      @thoughtboxband 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Depends on your preferences, if you like a large handle bias pick latched, if you like VERY large handle bias (potentially just for the oddness of it which is why Will likes it) choose the latchless version

    • @aphish_n_flips

      Depends on your preference, but good luck getting a latch less chab for a decent price.

    • @TheMattdunkum
      @TheMattdunkum 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No tbh, just invest in a decent starter balisong from squid industries (squidtrainer 3.5 is under 200 but extremely well built) or go for a kershaw lucha trainer which will run maybe around 100 dollars (not as well balanced but much more affordable)

    • @luigiRomeroN
      @luigiRomeroN 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheMattdunkum im gathering some money to buy something from squid industries, but im from brazil and anything in dolars its too expensive, 100 dolars for me is 600 R$, just to put a side the minimum salary here is 1200 R$, so its hard
      but thanks for the answer tough

    Hey. How do you get used to live blades? I’ve never touched a trainer, and I’m always so paranoid about cutting myself. I see you aerialing with live blades, and I want to do that! Help me.

    • @Kokosnusskopf0
      @Kokosnusskopf0 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I personally don’t own a live blade but maybe tape your blade, start with easy tricks and get confident and as soon as your confident enough start flipping normally. You can’t really avoid getting cut so i guess you shouldn’t be afraid of it. Most people don’t injure themselves that much anyways. And as soon as you have enough money maybe consider buying a trainer to learn hard stuff like aerials that you need precise timing for. Hope i could help!
