I calculate growing degree days in Celsius. Because aviation weather uses Celsius and automatically records and lists temperatures every 20 minutes continuously day after day. A high and low temperature for each day can be found during four previous days. It ends up with near to half in magnitude as Fahrenheit. The concept is the same. It can be used to track plant diseases, weed emergence, insect life cycles, pollination, growth stages, and crop maturity.
