    Was so sad to hear of Ed’s passing yesterday. I’ve known him since we went to high school together. He got me into my 1st band.

    I was at the auditorium theater in Chicago when sting came out and after the show I got to go to the limelight for Frank Zappa's B.day party.Crazy night.Glad B.F.U. is keeping it alive.

      For about 12 years, he was the musical director for Ray Charles.
      Working for FZ was probably good practice for that, since Ray was just as musically demanding and may have had a more difficult personality.
