I Was Thinking About The Jig Senko All WRONG - See What it Excels At

- The Jig Senko is much more than just another form of wacky rig. When we think of the Jig Senko in this manner, it reveals why it is such a powerful presentation that is different than what a lot of anglers may be throwing. The Jig Senko is a great tool to have in your stick bait (Senko) bag of tricks.

Thank you! Have a blessed day!
Over the last month or more, I've watched at least 100 of your videos, and still look forward to the next one ! I've fished for 50 ++ years, and still learn so much from your vids. LOVE the underwater footage !!! Dude, I don't know why you don't have a million subs !
Thanks! Maybe some day the channel will get there. Until then, I will keep plugging away at it. Thank you for watching!
Your correct! He should have a million < Seeing fish react in their environment realy helps < He is great watching him for years < 😮😮 Peace man **
I'm 65 years old I've had a fishing pole in my hands since I was old enough to walk and man you just took the words out of my mouth this guy is awesome
You're videos are a true breath of fresh air!!! Short, to the point, full of solid info. Most people post 25 to 30 minute videos that are full of fluff and non relevant information. Thank you for your approach and getting a it done in 5 to 10 minutes!!!
Thanks! I try hard to get right to the point.
Great video looks like a crawfish taking some food back with them
I have never thought of using the Jig Senko. That underwater footage is giving me some great ideas of what I can do with that setup. I fish a lot of laydowns, and this looks like a bait that the fish haven't seen too often. This is going in my arsenal for sure. Thanks for the great tip Steve.
Let me know how it goes for you!
Dude this channel is what we need. Simply amazing
Thanks!
Dang Steve we think a lot alike! Your close to my ideas, here’s mine, I do the same thing but I put a strike king rage tail crawfish on the jig head up to the keeper, and then put a 6” straight tail worm on wacky style! I saw this creek fishing as a kid and that crawdad drug that worm under a flat rock! So the bass have seen it too, so they know it’s reel! Ha Ha! Keep it coming Steve your smart as I am, we could write a book! LOL👍🥸🙏Old Finness Guy from Missouri!
Spending time in creeks is so incredibly fun and a great place to see things like tha that happening. Have a terrific day!
Great technique I will definitely give it a try. As always much appreciated for your videos and wisdom.
I’ve used a flick-it for years.
Thanks for the reminder of putting a Senko on a jighead!! Watched on video on LowBrow Fishing a while back and waiting to try it out. Stay Safe & God Bless!!! 🤠👍
Good luck with it! Have a blessed day!
It seems to me, a perpendicular senko would easily snag or sweep a lot of bottom debris/obstacles, thus limiting its effectiveness.. but it does seem like a worthwhile trick to keep in the memory bank for when the bite is extremely tough. I really liked the underwater “stitching” footage. Your “style” is very informative and effective, much appreciated, as always.
Thank you! And thanks so much for taking the time to watch.
I was just thinking earlier today about a shaky head (minus the screw head part of it with a "wacky rigged" soft plastic on it (perpendicular to the bend of the hook) like a senko or a stick bait. What do you think of this type of presentation? Or maybe a stick bait on a Tokyo rig? To keep it up out of the silt and muck better if that's the bottom composition you happen to be dealing with? Just a thought. Love your videos and keep up the great work, Steve! 👍🇺🇸
Stunning video again!! Thanks Steve.
Thanks again!
Thanks for another great under water video.
What a great topic! I do love fishing what I call a "wacky jig" and I've used them in places I'd be less inclined to throw a regular wacky rig, such as laydowns or underwater brush piles. Sometimes people think I'm just making it up and I'm not serious, but it really is a great presentation!
I definitely need to use it more than I have. Thinking about it this way will definitely change how and where I use it now.
Hey, Steve, great to see ya today. Pray y'all are well. Great video and info. Be safe
Definitely a different look and that's something we need. I'm going to give that a try this year. Thanks for your videos Steve always full of interesting topics
A great one, Steve and thanks !
Appreciate you sharing your knowledge ! Great video and info
Glad it was helpful!
Def gonna try it good info
Thank You.
I purchased the do-it wacky jig hook and crimped different size split shot to vary the fall and i have been able to still have a shimmy on the fall, plus it has a vibration on the retrieve. (Size 7 to 4).Im going to try putting a screwlock and a small section of worm to make it weedless and see how that preforms
I will have to try that. Thank you!
I've got a few ponds in the Madison area I want to try this with!
Another great video steve, thanks for the hard work done on this... all these different presentations i have started to write them down so i can remember these when fishing different situations 😅
I have pages of advice as well !
I'm so glad I ran across the Wheeler quote. It really made this presentation click for me when I heard that.
I'd be curious to see a lighter ned rig type of weight with elastic type senko.
Isnt that called the flick shake
Damn. Was hoping nobody would ever catch on to this. lol.
Lol. I know I need to do better with it for sure.
Caught big smallmouth that way in deeper water.
Love those smallies. That had to be a blast.
@SteveRogersOutdoors did it not thinking just did it to get down deeper and the first cast bingo
I’d like to see how that comes through some emerging vegetation.
Doesn’t come through too great. Beat on the outside of weed lines or in waters with low weeds. There are heads out there that make it more fishable in weed. I’ve had success with a 1/4 or 3/8 title shot jig head with this method. Keeps the debris off a bit better. But nothing I have used makes it 100% weed proof tho
I will have to film that if it ever warms up around here. Lol. Was supposed to have snow this morning but thank goodness we didn't.
@@SteveRogersOutdoors we are supposed to get 2-4” tomorrow. I love Spring in Michigan.
